ReplyDeleteI did a review of Madewell's Horseplay Retreat Tee HERE. Their linen tees are so darn sheer, but the print helps to hide your bra underneath.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big Boden shopper, but I did receive an E-mail from them about a sample sale in Boston on August 18th from 10-4 at the Hynes Convention Center. The e-mail was also a one time use coupon for $5.00 off at the sale. HTHs someone!
ReplyDeleteI caved and tried the princesse bib from baublebar, which on the website looks very similar to a bubble necklace. For the price, I'll keep it, but it is a much smaller bib than the bubble necklace, or even the factory version. No one would ever confuse it with a J. Crew bubble.
ReplyDeleteI ordered a Cashmere henley from Pure Collection, and I have to say I'm in love with it. I had been looking for a good alternative to J Crew for high quality cashmere, and think I might just have found it. The henley I got is lovely. The yarns feels wonderful: light, soft and substantial. The style is simple and refined. And I only paid $54 for it because it was on super summer sale!
ReplyDeleteLast year I tried cashmere sweaters from Lands End and Garnet hill. I didn't like the one from LE because after washing it acquired a blanket-like texture so that the stitches seemed to loose definition. The GH one was nice and soft, but a little too light-weight.
I'm very disappointed in the LEC new arrivals. I don't see a single thing I want.

ReplyDeleteGreta--I love Pure Collection. They have wonderful cashmere, and I adore the styles they come out with, very fashion forward, but still have many classic shapes for the more conservative dresser.

DeleteSpeaking of Boden (of course, I always do, lol), Boden is previewing their Winter 2012 collection right now. They also have 20% off and free ship and returns, too. The collection isn't as *awesome* as the Autumn 2012 line, but still lovely. I wrote a blog post on it last week and will likely do a "picks" post in the next week.

I only buy boden end of season super sale when things get marked down really cheap and free ship and,free returns. I check a couple times a day and I've managed to snag many items that have restocked at very low low low prices! extremely happy with items coming in multiple packages that seem to be arriving on my doorstep daily and prices I've paid.....
