Will you be taking advantage of either promotion? Are there any Sweaters you are interested in getting? If so, please share!
I wish the LS cashmere tees were on promo. I bought the jazzy purple last year, it was my first in J.Crew cashmere this style and I really love it. I'd like the fresh purple and maybe celestial blue. The colors are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteDitto. I buy one LS cashmere tee per year because they are the bestest, and it would be nice to be able to get the color I want on promo.
DeleteGlad to see that the Swiss Dot Tippi isn't included b/c I just bought it at full price and I might Hulk Smash something if I could have gotten it at 30% off a day later....
I got the Tippi sweaters in Navy and Burgundy (red) this morning. I am in love with their merino sweaters (both the Tippi and the factory versions). I got the cotton ones last month, but they discolored immediately (one before I even washed it), so I'm sticking to wool from now on.
ReplyDeleteThe factory Charley (Tippi) is really nice. It's a nice weight, thick enough to hold its shape but still a lighter sweater. I wish they made more 100% cotton sweaters though, because those of us in the south don't really need all that wool.
ReplyDeleteI tried on the oversized merino sweater in store, and while I liked the thick knit, the pockets jutted out on both sides, creating a less than flattering look. You can kind of see this in the model photo (although they've kind of hidden it with the half-tuck).
ReplyDeleteOh, and NO DREAM YARN...EVARRRRR! /Mommie Dearest
Did you try your reg size or did you size down?
DeleteThe pockets in my reg size pooked or jutted out some but I thought this might be alleviated by sizing down. It was also drapey in the back.
I bit on another two tippis, this time in heather gray and retro jade. I'm beginning to think I may own too many tippis, but I love them and they are just so versatile!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I have honestly liked more things in the factory offerings than in retail. I've been keeping track of "must-haves" in an Amazon wishlist, and I've got 10 items from factory and only 6 from retail (was 7 but I bought the Port of Call sweatshirt). I don' know if I like the colors better, or the shapes, or if I'm just so turned off by the price points at retail, but there it is.
ReplyDeleteAt the Pacific Place Seattle store, the Tippi cardigans in pool and light pink were marked down to $39.99. Other colors are still full price.
ReplyDeleteI ordered a Tippi, it was on my fall list so I am happy to get it at a discount. That is the only item I ordered, I am trying to hold off for new rollouts.
ReplyDeleteI bought a navy and a camel sweater. Kudos to the shopping assistant at Stanford who matched the online price and gave the educator's discount.
ReplyDeleteThank you FFM for mentioning the additional discount!
You're welcome Hadilly! :)
DeleteFor those interested, I compiled the list of sweaters that are part of this promo for both the men and women and posted them on my blog last Friday. I've re-posted them again today as a reminder that it's the last day of the sale. Men's list here. Women's list here. :)
I went ahead and ordered three of the classic merino long cardi's (navy, marled camel & hthr burgundy). The price isn't too far off from what I paid for one the end of last season, they are wardrobe staples for me, and I want to have them for this fall, not next fall.
ReplyDeleteAt first I wantd neon fuchsia but decided against it when I placed the order. The bright colors drew me in when they first debuted but now I'm having doubts about whether or not I'd really want to wear neon fuchsia, etc. once the leaves start changing colors. Maybe for February, when the winter doldrums really start to set in. In that case, I can wait for after the holidays to secure the bright colors.
