I have no idea why I think J.Crew's merchandise appears better in their stores (on the mannequins and on the the tables,) than in the Style Guides. Looking at the sneak peek of the Style Guide the other day on Pinterest just made me depressed. But now, looking at these photos, I just want to grab one of everything. Go figure!

On a bright note, I am really excited to see how festive the stores will look. Yey!

Check Your Email for Something Special from Madewell

A big "thanks!" to JSR (in this post) who shared the following news with us:

OT Did anyone get an email from Madewell about a 20% promo. It's not storewide, it was sent to me via email with a code to apply for online or store. One time use, and the coupon is good from 11/3-12/3. And it seems like you can order anything, there were no exclusions on leather or 3rd party brands. Might consider that motorcycle jacket...I don't really need it but... :-P  ...

The email was sent last Monday, but it's definitely worth checking your SPAM folder to see if you got the email!

Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

J.Crew's December 2014 Catalog on Pinterest

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Silver Lining (in this post), JSR (in this post), as well as Natalie (in this post), who let us know that there are several images from the December 2014 catalog on Pinterest. (Click here for J.Crew on Pinterest.)

First and foremost, there are more images that will be showing up on the Pinterest account. For whatever reason, J.Crew likes the make the process slow and painful. Blah.

The Crewcuts and Men's section look amazing... beautiful is the word that comes to mind.

As for the women... While I was cautiously optimistic with the November rollout (and pleasantly surprised in person!), I am "meh" with December's new arrivals. I am hoping the rest of the images will show more promise. I will add, that J.Crew stores are already switching over to Holiday and it looks amazing. I am just hoping the catalog gets more festive-cute too.

Word among several JCAs is that the next roll out of new arrivals (online) is next week. Brick & mortar stores might have some items on the floor.
