"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. The cardlove promo will be over very soon and there's barely anything online that I want.

  2. I’ll vent today. I am sad that there is not enough excitement about the new arrivals to keep the Jcrew love going lately in the blog. Thank you so much to the few of you who have posted your reviews. I don’t do Facebook and I can’t see any group discussion so any reviews here are much appreciated.

    1. I try to post both places but I often feel like I’m talking to a wall here. 😜

    2. I am always reading even if I am unable to respond. I plan to visit my store tomorrow. I hope to try some newer arrivals and beg to return a couple of sale fails.

    3. Yep, it's definitely quiet here on the blog as of late. J Crew is still my go to brand even though the new arrivals have been meh. I wore all J Crew tonight to a fundraiser. Collection sequin multicolor stripe maxi skirt, feather sleeve top in blue and Liberty flower print slingbacks with a bow back. Compliments galore.

  3. This is the first place I read every morning! I really value the reviews and have found some great Jcrew items through this site. I really miss the cute one of a kind items Jcrew that I could always find.

  4. I really dislike when models/ influencers show clothing that doesn’t fit well. These bathing suits look so uncomfortable, like they need the next size. I know butts will show and I don’t have an issue with that but my crotch hurts just looking at this.

  5. This is for those who use a stylist. Received this email from mine Dana and utterly disappointed and angry for her that her role and those of other stylists. She and I have a workaround though and if anything of interest comes up I will still be able to contact her. As I’ve mentioned in the past they need a new designer and get away from the “little girl” and teen look.
    Here’s part of the email:
I also wanted to let you know that I've transitioned into a new role along with all of our other Stylists, and we may not always be available in the moment to assist, as we're taking on additional responsibilities. We would never want you to miss out on an item or promotion, so please email contactus@jcrew.com and either myself or any of our other Customer Care associates will be happy to assist (typically within an hour).

    1. What other responsibilities? Customer service oriented?
      I agree I don’t like this designer.

    2. So happy to see you here today Lynn. I wonder if perhaps there is not enough work for the stylists and the company needs them to serve an additional role to justify them being on the payroll. Perhaps those who use stylists are not ordering as much these days with the lackluster offerings we’ve been seeing.

    3. @ShoppingCelle, Thank you nice to see that you here as well. Won’t be be for long though. I believe you were are most likely right about the stylists roles. Mine said she is always very busy however.
At any rate there will be another small rollout next Tuesday and then a very large one on April 25th. I haven’t been shopping too much JCrew lately. I did purchase a lot of Factory Tees and sweatshirts to be donated to Ukrainian refugees including children.
