J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. After persistent search 😂 I picked up the cobblestone Nordic boots in Sz8 @4:45 am. They had most sizes and colors! Now I hope they ship and I like them as much as I search for them! Thanks all for your help!!!
Also, I picked up the 9" vintage straight jean in Rinse wash Item K5391at store on sale rack sz26 they fit well. But I got sz25 online and they for much better so I stuck with 25, which a size down for me from toothpicks! I like them a lot!

  3. Ha, I slept a little later but did get the pecan Nordic boots...now I have the trifecta. My cobblestone ones shipped, surprisingly.
I also got the half zip polartec in red ochre and black. Maybe I’m getting sportier...since I’ve only gotten one new sweater (two if you count the thin leopard mockneck) I may have to start wearing these instead. Hopefully I like them as much as the gray one.

    1. @Suz, received the white shirt with the black buttons. It came with two extra buttons which I found surprising but no complaints. Its very nice. If I hadn’t read your post I would have missed it entirely. Thanks for your review. Always appreciated.

    2. Lynn, I’m so glad. It’s nice to find a classic piece that’s a little different, and not because of ruffles! 😉

  4. Has anyone been able to add any of the cashmere crewnecks to the cart since the price dropped? I've tried every day. It's available, I add it to my cart and then it's listed as unavailable or sold out.

    1. Same here. I called regarding this issue last week. The SA said stock is low or sold out. She did not offer to do a store search and said to keep checking.

    2. Keep trying, order and call CS if the discount doesn’t apply. They will make the adjustment.

  5. My plaid sweater-blazer was cancelled. Emphatically. I got 3 emails. OK, I get the point.

    1. @wellfedfred, the same happened to me with several items. I did hear that their IT Dept is revamping their entire system and one of the issues is related to emails. Too late for us

  6. I just bought a striped perfect t shirt at Lord & Taylor in Bridgewater, NJ. There are a ton of these striped perfect tees, some solid perfect tees, several navy and black blazers, some black and white camis, a few xs jean jackets and a couple of linen tees. I had stopped at JCrew to return a few things and pay my bill. L&T is closing, as most know, and I was surprised to see JCrew in there. I’ve never seen their clothing in there before. To say they have a lot of those striped tees is an understatement. I paid $10 for a green, navy and white striped tee.

  7. @ST, tragic about Lord &Taylor. 194 years in business and the end of a truly legendary store. I have such fond memories as far back as a small child shopping with my mother. The store decor was beautiful as was everything else. Very sad about this.

  8. I’m pretty impressed. So far nothing has canceled on me. Two pairs of boots I thought would never ship did late last night.

  9. I’m sad about L&T closing too. I always shopped there for my children’s clothes, they carried beautiful children’s clothes. When my daughter was in high school we always took a trip to L&T in Washington DC to buy her prom dress. So many special memories.

  10. New ballet flat flat the new quasi Cece without the original name and of lower quality it seems. So happy I stockpiled the original Made in Italy ones from years ago. These were the nicest and most comfortable. I still don’t understand why the killed it. Was huge seller. Any thoughts?

    3. Just saw those ballet flats. They look cute but not like ceces that sort of had that hidden tiny wedge and thicker leather. I had a few and sold or donated. I liked them but they were really too round for me. I have an Ava ballet flat that is super distressed that is slightly similar to these although that style had elastic around. A few years back there was another flat ballet style I purchased in gold but they don’t fit my feet at all. These look cute but definitely slipper like.

  11. Something I noticed back in Dec. Kate Middleton in her family Christmas photo was wearing a Jcrew Everyday Cashmere Crewneck sweater. Good for her:)
