Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. A few new items are starting to populate on the site. Just a few skirts and dresses so far but that is usually starts to happen the weekend before a rollout. A faux wrap eyelet skirt (how late into the fall do you wear eyelet? By end of September I’m usually over it), a sheath dress in autumn tweed, and a popover dress in cape stripe are showing up now.

Also, my sale order shipped the same day I placed the order and it will be here tomorrow! Wow!

    1. @Liz, I would think depending on weather temps. If the price is right purchase it and go with the flow. There’s a mini rollout next week. Who knows though I see items they’re slipping in here and there. Enjoy your all of your items! Shipping same day for most items coming out of Lynchburg. I posted elsewhere everything is arriving to my friend's home in 2 days. UPS has hired massive amounts of new employees/drivers. I think they’re pretty fed up with the postal service mail innovations partnership which has had negative shipping effects upon retailers and customers alike. Jcrew has hired more employees as well for their distribution and returns center.

  2. A lot more added to the sale section.
Still trying to be mindful but today I ordered the collection tuxedo blazer. Eventually we will go to events again and this is more dressy than my other black blazers.
Silk lobster scarf sold out and disappeared from my cart. 😢
Tempted by the linen mini skirt with patch pockets but without reviews I’m holding off.

    1. I came here just to ask if I were hallucinating new items in the sale section. I was going to buy the metallic block print tunic since it looks so pretty but the reviews weren't great, and I have the same problems with the fit of tunics as I do popovers. But I picked up a rash guard and two pajama sets despite total lack of reviews or model photos. This feels like the old days - a new JC order every day for multiple days!

    2. Every time I look there’s something different. I’m not sure which tunic you’re referring to, I don’t see it now!

      Delete
    3. It looks so pretty I was eyeing it. I ignored those particular reviewed. Posters here are more frank and objective in reviewing items. Are you going to order it? I will.

    4. Lynn, I didn’t but LMK when you try yours. My shoulders for some reason never fit JC popovers and this one looked like a similar fit even though they call it a tunic. Without model photos, I didn’t want to try. It’s so pretty - looks like a SZ print, which I love.

  3. I’m sad that I can’t take part in the crazy US sales. Canada has 30% which is something at least but a lot of items aren’t marked down for us.

I did buy the Lobster print sweater jacket after some serious stalking. I’m usually a S or XS but the only size available was XXS, I bought it nervously but it fits fine. Reviews said it ran large so I took a chance. I love the sweater although the zipper is ridiculously hard to work. I think @Lynn mentioned this before.

    1. Jan, I saw in another post that Canadian stores are doing 70% off sale. If you can't get to a store, I wonder if you can call for a charge send? I was able to in the US. It's worth a shot. I'd call about anything you like in the Canadian sale section online and ask how much it is in the stores and if they'd send to you - ask for a bunch of sale items! You never know.

      Delete
    2. Thank you @eeps! I’ve had good luck with charge sends, worth a shot for sure. 😊

    3. Let us know if it works out!

    4. I called but they don’t have the items I was looking for. I think the problem is that they were closed for 3 months so they didn’t get inventory for a long time. I think we only have 3 stores left in Canada, so sad.

      Delete
    5. Oh wow. They didn’t send any new items to Canada?? So the stores there are still selling stuff from Jan-March pre shutdown?? Who is buying that in August?

      Delete
    6. One Toronto store said their first shipment since shutdown was middle of July but they only reopened later in June. I’m not sure what new items they received.

  4. Hi Jan, Happy you were able to grab le the sweater jacket. Yes that zipper is nearly impossible. I was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work and tried various methods. Hard soap might help. I had called CS about this and provided graphic details on the awfully cheap zipper etc and they knocked the price down to $35.00. It’s cute but I really don’t believe it’s worth much more. If you have issues with the zipper call the company directly and ask them for a price adjustment. Ask to speak with a supervisor. I’m pretty sure you will get a favorable result. Sorry you’re missing the U.S sale. Enjoy your Lobster:)

    1. Thank you for the advice, Lynn! That’s an amazing price that you got. Thank you for the tip re: soap. I hope that you’re doing well.

  5. PLATFORM EVA SLIDE SANDALS Item AN883 Size: 9 MEDIUM. Natural color
I almost forgot that I ordered these Last week.
I hadn’t noticed them previously and have mostly been barefoot around the house but keep slides near every door. These are fun and totally retro. The sole has black, neon pink/chartreuse and tan.
Reviews almost had me sizing way up but my usual whole size 9 is plenty wide/long. I typically wear 8.5 in most JCrew shoes except for super high round toe pumps.

    1. I ordered those cute sandals for my stepdaughter. She's an 8 but I sent 9 based on reviews. Well, if not she can give them to her mom.

  6. Has anyone tried the AP 152 tiered eyelet dresses?Concerned about the bust sizing. If so how’s the sizing? Thanks!

  7. Hey everyone! My sale order arrived one day early! Immediately tried on the sequin midis (ordered both ivory and pink *hangs head*) and they are perfect. Suggestions on styling for either color? Would love to hear your thoughts!

    1. I have the ivory one and I like it. Not too flashy and the length is good. I think you can get away going really casual, like a graphic t and sneakers. Or a traditional narrow stripe button up and mule loafers. I have a feminine short sleeve blouse with an ivory dot pattern that works with my nude color pumps. Also a cashmere s/s tee for when it's cooler. I think you could go into cold weather with a chunky cropped sweater.

    2. @pbanos, your outfit ideas sound so lovely! I hope that you both enjoy that skirt it looks very pretty.

    3. @pbanos your ideas are wonderful! I’m even thinking of wearing the ivory skirt for my 15th anniversary photos In a few weeks.

    4. Happy happy happy!

I picked up a cashmere tneck this am for under $20 - so that will be another winter option with this skirt if tucking it works.

      Delete
    5. Since I am cashmere crazy, which tneck did you pick up for this bargain price? Thanks!

      Delete
    6. The boyfriend turtleneck. Hope it doesn't cancel. It was an M, and I am usually a S (except cashmere sweaters seem to run small). If its too big, my sister in law will benefit!

      Delete
    7. Wow! Sounds great! I size up too on cashmere! Gives room to wash it! Usually xs but always get a small in their fitted cashmere! I picked up peaches short sleeve, daisy long sleeve, and cashmere hoodie, grey turtleneck and grey boyfriend cardigan! I think that’s enough! I hate getting packages every day! No more shopping! Lol!

      Delete
    8. That sounds nice, you will have luxury all fall and winter. The peaches sweater looks cute.

      Delete
    9. Yes. Think I am done! Have not wore the peaches it’s been so hot! But looking forward! I got the cherries for my sister!

    10. Idk how i missed the skirt! Do your all recommend sizing down? Thanks!

    11. Kate I took my usual small and found the skirt comfortably loose but not oversize.

  8. Oh, the dreaded "we wish we had enough" email came through today... 2 of 3 cashmere throws were cancelled; not holding my breath for the last one.
Received linen t-shirts L7820. They are rather big. Almost a whole size bigger than the same model from few years back. I am hoping they might shrink in a wash, but who knows? And linen does stretch back. Neon flamingo is nice; bronzed spice is meh on me (a blond with blue eyes; it will probably look nice on a brunette). The orange is less vibrant and more "bronzed"/muted look.

    1. Do you have the style number for the cashmere throw? I am intrigued..., thanks !

    2. L3764, Polar Grey color... Still upset about the order cancellation.
But indeed, it was intriguing to see remnants of that failed "home line" pop up for few minutes.

    3. It’s very nice .. hope it ships! I never seen it before! I did pick up 2 J.Crew Home multistripe pillow K7853@$8.33 each and J.Crew Home cable-knit throw K7852@$11.90... let see if they ship!

    4. The throw just cancelled, will see about the pillows ... lol

  9. I already received a partial shipment from the 72% sale. Cyprus sandals in red. I ordered up 1/2 size to make sure I didn't get the dreaded heel hanging on the back. They fit great and will work for a wider foot. The color is a nice darker red, sort of a barn red. No support, these are not walking shoes. There are still whole sizes left.

  10. I placed one additional order last night.

High-rise pleated pant in linen blend Item: AN010 Color: BLACK
Button-front linen tunic item AM644, color black

I decided to bite the bullet and try these pants. Reviews said they ran large but I still got the larger of my two sizes because I would sooner take in the waist then have them tight on the hips. Most of the crew pants I’ve tried this year fit too straight for me...waist is loose but hips are snug. The tunic top says can be worn over a bathing suit so my Hope is its long enough to do so, although the 27” length would not work for me if that is accurate. But I can wear as a shirt with a little scarf or bandana.

Up early and seeing sale is now 50 off I hope I am pleased with my purchases.

    1. I looked at those pants and had the same concern about being too small in the hips/rear/thighs.

      Delete
    2. @Suz I also ordered the linen tunic but in white. It came today. I sized up to make it a little looser but I think their length measurement is correct. It’s not long enough for me to wear over a bathing suit and be fully covered but I’m 5’6”. I like it though, especially since it doesn’t have a collar.

      Delete
    3. I’m the same height so it will prob be the same for me. I don’t mind though. I have a white Thomas Mason one from a few years ago but it’s not as slouchy as I like, I almost wish I got the white too.

  11. Went to the mall for the first time since Covid hit. I returned the midi tee shirt dresses. I honestly considered paying to send them back, but I needed to go to the mall for a brand name jewelry repair for quite some time so it was for that reason I went into crew. Fitting rooms were closed although other stores had them open. Fine by me. Most stores had locked doors and staff outside to honor occupancy laws.
There were two racks of “$14.99”, both pants only. They included the regatta, the silk lion pants, and the linen ones @Suz mentioned above. I got all three. I will admit I tried them on in a corner under the denim skirt I wore!
The linen pants are particularly thick and beautiful. My regular size 0 fit great.

    1. the Regatta is 14.99?? what store is this??

      Delete
    2. @Cheri, Wow!!! Great deal! Hope you enjoy them! I love my Regatta pants and wear them frequently. They’re so comfortable and classy. I wear them with the old Montauk Tee or other white tops. Enjoy all of your purchases!

    3. Sweet deal, I was thinking about going there yesterday, but time got away from us. Guess if you wear a loose skirt and a snug tank top you can try pants and skirts under and tops over.

    4. P, I was perfectly dressed (for sneakily trying on) in slides, a loose denim midi, and a plain white fitted cropped tee.

  12. Rockofelar earlier in the week had a table with jeans for $15 and 2 racks with pants. Also aid a rack of sweaters $10... looked old and terrible. Did not even browse. I did see linen pants and picked up a pair of Cameron’s for my sister! Prices were variable! Some higher then online some lower. They did price match for me. I forgot to use my 15 off coupon and chat rep would not add it for me! ( my loss)
Otherwise it was 70 off sale. Lots of shoes! Small amounts of cashmere! Store was empty! They were very nice and friendly!

  13. saw on Instagram...someone received 20 boxes from JCrew's 70% off sale (said more were on the way) stated items would be up for sale on ebay site. I'm in Canada so sale didn't happen for us. I just hope all JCA's here were able to get some good deals....

  15. Well I am not into sales and even I have multiple deliveries! They send a t shirt for $3 separately! I did do some damage of cashmere sweaters and shoes for me and my mom, jeans for my daughter etc! Spent to much! Lol

  16. I just found your blog. I have been a J Crew shopper for my family and myself for years. I love looking at the old catalogues online. I have to say I love the older J Crew clothing better than I do now. I did purchase in store a jean shirt to replace one I got paint on. It was 40% off which rarely happens.

  17. Went to my Toronto store for the second time this week, just to do another run through the 70% sale (which is most of the store). Looks like our prices in store are matching the US ones, with all sale pants at $14.99 and most tees ringing in at $10. Store was as full as they could allow, with lineups outside. Very much picked over since last week - most of the summer stock that arrived two weeks ago is gone, with only a few lobster shirts and random other pieces lingering (rainbow/ribbon pleated skirts, gingham denim, eyelet pants, assorted tees). Some few things still remaining from late winter (fleeces, odd sweaters). Final sale on everything with exchange only since fitting rooms closed. I limited myself to tees and tops since I can easily tell if they’d fit me without trying on. Almost no men shopping in the store lol, but every woman had an armful of deals ;) Sale is on until Tuesday and from the looks of the feeding frenzy, they’ll have lots of room for the new rollout. Some ladies were worrying that the store was closing, but staff said not - and I imagine if they were going to close, they would have done so during the 4-month shutdown. Fingers crossed!

  18. My cashmere throws shipped out of Lynchburg today. I ordered the brown/beige colorway. Looking forward to cozy sofa time at the end of the year. Now I can say bye to the old pilled throw in the den.
