Whoa! Big sale. Bought a lot (well, mostly for my littles including $8 swim suits!!). I did pick up the block print top, sequin midi skirt, and ratti safari popover for myself. Crazy prices. I don’t usually bite on final salad except for my kiddos but could not resist. Hope I don’t regret it!
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, Hope you enjoy your safari print shirt. Adorable. I love the sweater tee which I purchased and also purchased the popover for myself and some friends. Did you purchase the popover top in the blue/pin combo? Am considering it thanks and have a wonderful day.
DeleteI also ordered the sequin midi in ivory. I have so many tops that will work with it.
DeleteI love the safari print too, though I passed on it as the popovers never fit me well.
Hi Lynn! I got the red/blue block print top with flutter sleeves. Surprisingly, it’s set to arrive tomorrow. I’ll come back and review it :). Can’t wait to try the safari popover tomorrow too!
DeleteI had other stuff in my cart but tried to not have crazy sale goggles and just purchased the pleated midi skirt in black and the laceup strappy sandals (the ones with a one inch heel).
ReplyDeleteSince I had contemplated the black skirt at a lot more I figured it was worth the risk. If I don’t like it surely one of my daughters will. The sandals were still close to $40 and I am afraid the heel might look matronly but I love a laceup and sometimes my flat ones (madewell boardwalk laceups) just look too flat and casual. If they don’t work with skirts or shorts I am typically in pants anyway.
I was super tempted by the chartreuse/lime green silk tuxedo shirt at about $30 and the pleated linen pants at about $20. The pants have no rear pics so I decided not to bother. I have enough black pants I don’t wear. .
I also placed an order. Have you guys noticed recently that if you start putting things in your cart before you've logged in (which I usually do as I'm checking out), you lose everything in your cart?? It's happened to me twice for my past two orders. Today I didn't have the patience to go back and replace everything in my cart, so I only replaced what I could remember. A lot of items became unavailable by the time I returned to it later. Normally I'd be annoyed, but everything in my cart was unnecessary and completely driven by the big sale so I just shrugged it off. I got a few tees in a size up, including another color of the burnout tee and tank, which I ordered last week and have yet to receive but it seems like a good deal regardless. I can always use them as PJ tops. I also rebought the Ancient Greek sandals that I bought last week and just arrived yesterday. The price difference is now +$30 and last week it wasn't final sale, so I'll be returning. If anyone is looking for a chic pair of flat sandals, I love Ancient Greeks! These are my second pair and I wore the first pair (a different style) to death and actually brought them to a shoemaker while I was in Cambodia on holiday to have him replicate it since I couldn't find the style for sale anymore. I find they are TTS. I also got the Liberty Golas - they're not marked as part of the promo but they rang up as $20.XX which is a stunning deal. I can always use a pair of comfy walking shoes.
ReplyDeleteBTW - has anyone had any issues with getting them to waive return fees for (nondefective) returns by mail now that stores have reopened?
Adorable sneakers. If they had my size I would have them too!
DeleteI picked up a chambray ludlow for my stepson. It's a dress shirt with a casual fabric, nice looking.
Also for the hubs a couple of tshirts.
And for me a black silk blouse (I adore silk blouses), another layering tank, a pair of red cyprus sandals, and a black linen pull on skirt.
I like that liberty print but I think my size wasn’t available in the sneakers either.
DeleteThat happens to me sometimes without logging in, but I don’t think it did today.

DeleteHi Is the sizing for the liberty Gola? I read the reviews and still am not sure what size to order. Thanks!
swttart - no idea, i went by the reviews. Obviously i haven't received them yet as I ordered this morning. But I ordered my regular size on the assumption that if they run big, i'll use gel inserts.
Delete@swttarr I have the Gola sneakers in white with blue. TTS and I would expect the Liberty verdion also to be TTS
DeleteI got the Golas today, really surprised how fast shipping was. My usual size was 1/2 size too big, but as I expected my gel insoles filled it perfectly, so going with my usual size was the right move. I have average width feet. The Golas are UK sized, so JCrew translated a US6 as a UK4. I wear UK3, but EU36. Wish the JC description had included that!
DeleteDoes anyone know the exact fabric content (% poly) of the Peyton sailor pant in Stretch linen? TIA!
ReplyDelete@Corry, 67% linen and 33% poly. The inner lining is all poly. They’re a nice pant and very functional. I have the navy and purchased the pink as well.
DeleteThis is super helpful, Lynn--thank you very much!
DeleteSince some of the stuff is new, it's hard to make a decision. No model photos and only 1 or 2 suspicious reviews.
ReplyDeleteYou just have to weigh the risks. I set myself a $ limit per item for risking. If it's a few bucks, I don't mind donating or putting on Poshmark if it doesn't work out.
DeleteI just happened to check online before meditating today, probably because I have been stalking the navy terry lace up beach dress for my mom, which I got her for $9! Also got the embroidered tassel in white for $5.60. checked out really quickly and went back to purchase the Meadow's June Liberty button down for $14, the que bonita tee for $3 and change, and a what looks to be beautiful cream 100% cotton cable knit sweater for my little one.
ReplyDelete@cheritheberry, such a nice mother&daughter you are. Happy you found some great finds!!Hope you and your family enjoys your purchases. So fortunate you have your mother and little one.
DeleteThank you, Lynn! I had finally tracked down the medium for her and it was too large. She was so disappointed. Now she is happy to have this to wear around the pool. Fingers crossed the size is right. I'll see if my son still likes to match me by the time fall comes around, and if so the sweater will be more of a gift to me. I know the end is near for the matching days... :(
DeleteVent time. There are things that show in stock if they are in the "save for later" portion of your cart that don't show up on the product pages or search results. I actually find this infuriating because 1) if you move it to cart to purchase it, it's gone from the wishlist and you can no longer track it, and 2) It makes me wonder what's still in stock that I can't actually see! Is it too much to ask that everybody have access to an accurate picture of the inventory available?
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too. I ordered a liberty shirt which showed up from save for later list saturday afteroon, but was canceled on monday. Few items I ordered during morning updates was canceled.
DeletePurchased leather leggings in navy this morning for a friend $48.00, seersucker midi dress for 28, Liberty Kiki’s for 20 & some more cashmere home blankets 36 each for myself. Put these on my boat for crew and guests Can’t believe these crazy prices although I paid 28 for the cashmere home blankets a year or so ago. Looks more like a “Fire Sale” or going out of business sale. Shipping and returns to my friend’s home in Florida are wickedly fast, many shipping and arriving in 2 days. Finished.
ReplyDeleteFabulous finds! You are a good friend!
Delete@Lynn I think they’re trying to get rid of their excess inventory which would make restructuring easier or a takeover by a third party more attractive.
Delete@cheritheberr, thanks for the compliment but my friend is the good friend. Kind, selfless, compassionate and generous to all that cross her path. Happy to boast about her especially with all the bad news around and the way certain people are behaving these days:)
Delete@fleur de lys, I agree completely, I was being facetious:) Every time I see a post of yours I think tulips, lavender and daffodils. Such a nice user ID that you have.
Delete@Lynn, I am lucky to have one just like that! We always pick up little treats for each other, and then it's really fun when we see each other. We are surely fortunate. You are right!
DeleteHave you seen the face masks? Quite cute in the Liberty Prints. The little girls are even cuter. Do you hear me@Liz?
ReplyDeleteI had not seen those! Thanks for the heads up, definitely perfect for my little ones :)
DeleteWhat I wouldn’t give to have a little girl! Just about everything in Crew it’s is so adorable in fact I wish they made some items for adults.
DeleteLots of stuff added to my cart, but nothing I had been keeping my eye on until I saw the embroidered eyelet top in neon kiwi in my size (finally!). I immediately moved everything else to my save for later list, and checked out with the eyelet top and a tshirt for less than $30. I have my eyes on the woven smoking loafer with tassel in the pink but I’m disappointed they’re not all leather. Also, I don’t usually buy their shoes so I’m not sure if they’ll fit. Is it worth the $40 final sale price, I’m not sure. Anyone have these shoes?
ReplyDeleteThe Ratti Safari Print popover arrived. It’s gorgeous!!! Fit is tts and the cotton is so lightweight as the old Drakes popovers. Pink elephants on the back. My friend modeled it and critiqued it for me so I ordered another one. Grab it, it’s $26.00 and in my opinion is worth far more for the design alone.
ReplyDeleteI wish those colors worked for me. I always loved the ratti into the wild print and ordered the button down but wasn’t pleased with how the pattern was laid out. I’m tempted to get the Classic popover shirt in Ratti® island botanical print
DeleteItem AK765 but I just don’t wear that much pattern. I’m just thinking for the price it’s a great piece for vacation (when we can go again).
@Suz, good morning, I think the Safari Print would compliment your coloring and the pattern is good with this top. It compliments me being blonde but I think for someone who has dark hair it would be even more beautiful. Just my humble opinion.
DeleteThank you Lynn, I just don’t wear those colors, or much of anything besides black aside from my scarves and bandanas.
Delete@Suz, you look great in anything. Wish I did:) I understand though, we all have preferences and I respect them and I appreciate your styles in black. I wear these bright colors over here because I like to be different. I find the French and Italians wear too much black and they aren’t as creative as the JCA’s for sure. I love those Everlane pants you recommended to me this year though!
