Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. So, even though they put the "60% off sale" banner on the website yesterday afternoon, it didn't take effect until 12:01AM of Sept. 2. I got a few things...t shirt for my daughter, a liberty swim bottom, another pair of the high rise slim boy chino (I really love the fit of these), some socks, lol. A skirt and some other things I wanted disappeared out of the sale section.

  2. Birthday month!! But I'm holding off a little before using my birthday rewards. It's still too hot out to think about sweaters.

I did stop by yesterday to return a pair of pink cords. I actually really like them and they fit well but the zipper was messed up... Like crooked or something. So I reordered them (for cheaper).

    1. Happy birthday month, Miss JR! CS would not combine my birthday rewards with any ongoing promo. I waited until 8/31 and then ordered a long-sleeve tee and a hair clip ($26) so I didn't lose them. I miss the days when the $25 was in the form of a gift card and not a coupon.

  3. It’s still really hot where I live too, so no sweaters for me. I stopped in this weekend to make returns and to try on some items from fall collection that could work as transition items: tiger floral silk shirt, botanical cheetah silk shirt in navy, matching pants and leopard tie waist shirt dress. Everything fit tts. Pants were short on me (just over 5.8), so I would need a tall. Silk is lightweight, and since I live in a mild climate, it’s a very good weight for fall. Will likely work for most of winter too. Didn’t have any weird fit issues that others have shared on IG. I have hips & buttocks and fit was relaxed in my usual size. Pants don’t have belt loops, so that was a minus for me. Tiger floral and botanical cheetah prints can be mixed. Both shirts look great with olive (tried with old J Crew silk drawstring pants & Madewell silk island skirt). Also mixed tiger floral with Abigail Borg silk tie waist pants. Finally, tried botanical cheetah with silk navy stripe culottes (another J Crew oldie) and it’s really a cute look. Happy to see how versatile the shirts are with items already in my closet. Tiger floral shirt is sold out online, probably an inventory issue. Stores have stock. Tie waist shirt dress is a nice cotton. It’s also a very good transition piece. Fits like Abigail Borg shirtdress. It can also be worn open and layered with pants. Shirts and dress were included in 40% off promo despite being excluded online. Had a 10% off email coupon that could be stacked. Prices are really reasonable. But, in looking at my purchase history for other silk print collections, other than Drake, ended up purchasing @ 75% off.

    1. Sounds like some advanced print mixing - good for you!

  4. The only thing I did with the 60% off is re-order something for less $$'s. The no-price-adjustment is making me buy things twice... I also ordered a pair of pants for my husband that have been wish listed for a long time. They did not show up on the sale page, or on a search, but did when I linked from my wish list? Weird.

    1. Yes. The no price adjustments policy means more work for me (I buy it again if the price is significantly lower) and more work for the lovely sales associates at my store (who have to process and mail back the return). I guess they think that there are fewer people who are willing to go to the trouble of doing returns than there are people who are willing to contact them for price adjustments.

  5. I put somethings in my cart and waited for the switch to the 60% off but for some reason it still hadn’t switched well after midnight. So I fell asleep. When I woke at 6 and checked, almost everything i picked had sold out. Fine, I saved like $300 in unnecessary purchases! Still got the sequin Jackie in camel and the princess mini in ivory (boo wanted the white). Like others my rewards balance changed and was not the amount of the reminder email from a week ago. Oh well, just happy nothing I got was FS!

  6. Nothing in my cart or wishlist is either available or included, so still nothing for me. This might be the first 60 percent off sale in memory that I haven’t bought anything
