JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

Also, please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel free to include links to your blog (where you incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance! :)

  1. I’m not typically a coverall person but lately I’ve been liking the utility style. Several have caught my eye over the past few weeks and they’re pretty $$$$. Last night I found a dickies version (in junior sizing) sold at Nordstrom. This morning I noticed Madewell is featuring a dickies collaboration and the coveralls are double the price.
While they’re still available at Nordstrom I ordered to try. Could be really cute or an epic fail!

    1. My mechanic wears coveralls, so I always worry about that look......but I ended up liking the J Crew poplin romper. Though if I wanted to dress up as a park ranger it would now be easy to do! Anyway, hope you wind up with a new favorite.

    2. I totally get that. But I’m the girl who bought a men’s thermal union suit with the flap on the back and wore it with a webbed utility belt, denim jacket and keds in high school. (And then got in trouble.)
I bought and returned a Madewell denim jumpsuit a few years ago when they were first becoming a thing and in theory I’m against them, but they’ve lasted longer than I thought so now I’m willing to consider one that fits well.

    3. Actually the flap would be convenient on coveralls, you wouldn't have to worry about dipping your sleeves. I do hope it was a red one.

    4. Nope, just a natural thermal color. 😂
