Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. New arrivals up on the early access link: https://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/EarlyAccess.jsp

I ordered 2 colors of the double serge wool pencil skirt: honey and blush. And 1 pair of the straight leg cords in vintage quartz.

    1. Thanks for the link @liztriden. Wishlisted a few items. Glad to see the wide leg pleated pants are back, still have them in grey and they look like new, even though they I bought them 7? years ago. May need them in that lovely blue color though 😉

  2. I also like the houndstooth blazer but I just donated 6 blazers (gap academy blazers from like 10 years ago) because I never wear blazers. I’ve held off for now but it could be a fun fall “jacket.”

  3. Interesting, there's only a few new things on the page. Some were loaded onto the site a while back. Wonder if there'll be more this week. I do like the tie neck silk top...

    2. New arrivals are a mess. Everything looks over bright and polyester. Way too many coats. Not seeing subtle nuance and clever details that pull an outfit together. Just don't know where this is headed, I have zero things I want.

  4. There is nothing new there at all. Everything is from a past season in some way or another. I'll save my money this fall. I have not bought a thing from J Crew since early in the summer.

    1. I agree. Aside from one or two pieces that are spin offs of older pieces, much is simply repeated from previous seasons. Oh well, money saved.

    2. Nothing special + questionable fabric content and a history of thin cashmere/silk, make this stuff a pass for me.

    3. Not feeling this rollout at all. I think they overdid it on the double-breasted coats and the Teddy coats. I like the updates to the Quilted puffer jacket in Liberty floral (I bought the reversible Liberty puffer jacket last year and instantly regretted the double-breasted style), but at $425 CAD it won’t be on my shopping list anytime soon.

    4. agreed. also buyer beware...i got swindled by the balloon sleeve tneck last year. a little boxy (shocker), a little short (another shocker!) until i jand washed it....stretched out to oblivion and holes at seams galore. cheap cheap cheap

    5. I love the color of the cocoon coat in heather fire red but not the wool/nylon blend. Also, really like Collection cropped moto jack in emerald pine. That green color is gorgeous. Don't need another coat, so it won't be a purchase for me. But, I will put the moto jacket on my wishlist and will purchase with a promo. I wear my J Crew leather jackets a lot once the temps cool.

    6. Swp in nova, I love my balloon sleeve turtleneck...but sizing was tricky to avoid it being short and boxy. However, i dont think I washed it so I will be very careful about that. Sigh...

  5. I’m seeing a lot of basic and nothing that reads special to me. Usually by this point, I would have several pieces on my Fall wish list but so far nothing much. I liked the look of the boyfriend houndstooth plaid blazer until I saw the fabric content: Acrylic/poly/wool/other fibers. Jcrew is still my favorite so I’m sure something will catch my eye when I see it in person.

  6. Thank you for the link. I am not a fan of the new coat styles. to me they look dated. I guess I may not be a fan of double breasted style coats.

  7. I like the pink tweed pencil skirt with fringe but it doesn't come in a petite. Sigh
    Thanks for posting the link!
