"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. It looks like they've raised the prices on some sale items again...I noticed the Josephine floral popover is now $62.99. WHY. I don't understand why they do this.

    1. I noticed that the other day. The penny sandals in the liberty print had gone from 83.99 and 40 percent off to $113 or something

    2. The block heel pumps have jumped in price from ~40 CAD to ~60 CAD before discount so even if my size pops back I won’t buy them. It must be some kind of big-data driven dynamic pricing, but once I see the bottom price I won’t pay higher.

  2. I really wish they would say what size the model is wearing and how tall she is, for reference purposes.

  3. J Crew back to their old tricks. The Reeds Lobster polo and Point Sur pop over in block print are no longer included with the GETAWAY promo code (they were yesterday). Do you think I will have any luck if I call CS and ask them to honor?

    1. I've been pretty successful with phone calls over emails or chat. Because you make a personal connection. I'd say I can't believe I forgot to checkout my cart! I did ask for and receive this concession once with a jacket (which I wear all the time!) when I called the very next morning. But that was before the crackdown on price adjustments. Anyway, call and good luck...
