Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. Anyone else having issues with online returns? I sent back multiple packages earlier this month that have been received but I'm still waiting for an email acknowledging receipt let alone credit back. In the past this has been pretty quick...

    1. Hi Lauren - I've noticed this as well. I used to get a credit on the day (or next) after it was received at this warehouse. Lately it's been more like a week or so between them receiving it and processing my return credit.

  3. I found a few gems in the returns bin:
The strappy knit midi dress is a nice casual dress/ beach dress and the material is not flimsy. It is TTS but i got one size up for it to be more loose. It is on crazy sale now.
The tie shoulder dress with embroidery is only $9.99 online and i love the fit and soft material. Def size down on size though!!!
Last one is the eyelet beach poncho that was a surprise love! It is soft and drapey and looks super nice. I the xs/s which is the smallest size.
If you can find a popback on any of these, def try them.

  4. FYI: No style guide came in mail today. At least the Vogue September issue was in the box to console me a little.

    2. A SA at a Canada store said the style guide should be out soon but didn’t know if Canadian stores would get it.

  7. I just read a couple of articles about the JCrew rebrand. Besides the loyalty program for the US it sounds like the focus will be lower prices, more sizes, less fashion forward and trying to sell in more locations (ASOS was mentioned, also supposedly Hudson Bay is supposed to get some items for my fellow Canadians). A comment was made by the CEO about how they can’t be all “New England preppy” which kind of makes me sad. I was hoping they’d be a little more old school Jcrew.
The articles mentioned a $14.50 tee that was $29.50 last year but at least in Canada I can’t think of any low price tees.

    1. they should have stuck with Nordstroms for Canada. they have some Madewell there (Vancouver ) and for a very short time had limited JCrew stock. Hudson Bay...although it has a strong Canadian legacy...is just not what it once was. IMO. ...They already carry too many brands...sales are on all the time and i know no one who pays full price at "the bay"
