Extra 30% Off Madewell Sale Styles

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know about the following promotion this morning.

Madewell is offering customers to take an extra 30% off all Sale items with promo code XOXO. The offer expires February 17, 2014. They are also offering free shipping on every order (no min! no code!) until February 24, 2014. The fine print includes:
30% discount valid on the purchase of all sale items at madewell.com. 50% discount only valid on the purchase of sale items listed on the 50% Off Select Sale Styles page at madewell.com. Offers valid from February 13, 2014, 12:01am ET through February 17, 2014, 11:59pm ET only. Offers not valid in Madewell stores or on phone orders. Offers cannot be applied to previous purchases and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. To redeem, enter code XOXO in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Terms of offers are subject to change.

Free shipping valid on purchases made at madewell.com from February 11, 2014, 12:01am ET through February 24, 2014, 11:59pm ET only. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases and cannot be redeemed for cash. Free shipping is applied automatically at checkout. Orders will be shipped to the continental U.S. and P.O. Boxes via economy shipping (6 to 8 business days) and return requests must be made in accordance with our return policy. Offer valid in the U.S. only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
I love love love that this promotion is not only 30% off, but includes free shipping! Makes shopping extra enticing!
I want to add two more things. (1) Stores are offering this additional percent off sale. They have been for some time now too. (2) Prices are different in stores than online. Yeah, that is happening. For instance, take the Fireside Vest in Buffalo Plaid (item 07920, $150.00), on sale now for $119.99. In stores it is $59.99, *before* any discount applied. Then there is the regular Fireside Vest (the black and white version) that is on sale online and still full priced in stores. Go figure!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion at Madewell? What Madewell item are you hoping to pick up? Please share!

  1. Just wanted to add that Madewell is also sending out $50 gift card emails to people who had packages delayed around the holidays (following what JCrew did). I just got one today--a totally awesome perk when all I had was a $10 t-shirt delayed! Be on the lookout in your inboxes!

  2. Hi all,

Does Madewell have a red phone ordering system like J. Crew? My local J. Crew will order items from online after matching the notoriously lower in-store price and just wondering if Madewell is set up to do the same thing.

    1. They don't have a red phone, but a store associate can perform the same function. They will call in the order and price match for you. :)

  3. Thanks SO much for posting about this vest, Alexis (enabler-ha!). I called about it a couple weeks ago, and was told they couldn't see how much it was in stores--I never guessed it would be half the online price! I found it in a store, and though they said they weren't running the 30% off sale (??), they matched the online promo + shipping promo. I'm a happy girl, though I need to plan for a no-shopping March :)

  4. I've been stalking this vest forever, but it has been sold out in my size. If anyone sees it (the Fireside Red Buffalo Plaid) in store, could you please let me know where? I would really appreciate it. Thank you! 604ruth@gmail.com

  5. Thanks for the heads up Alexis! Have one on hold at my local store...Wasn't doing much shopping while pregnant during fall/winter '12 and missed both herringbone vest from J. Crew/Factory. So happy I didn't miss this one.

  6. I think Madewell's cutout sweater is cuter than the JC one and is part of this sale

  7. I can't overstate my excitement over this sale yesterday. I just got my first paycheck after a big promotion and the timing could not have been better! I may have gone a little overboard, but managed to snatch up a bunch of things I've had my eye on for months, specifically the game plan skirt, director shiftdress, merino sweaterdress, indigo denim collared shirt, linen baseball tee, pinecone study scarf, drawstring trousers and wool rivington trousers (not FS). I'd love to hear of anyone's experiences with any of these pieces! I won't be receiving my order for quite a while because I'm overseas.

  8. For anyone who has tried on the fireside vest, or even the J. Crew excursion vest. Did you take your regular size or size up/down?

    1. I got a medium and it fit perfectly. If you want more room I would size up.

  9. I had to make an exception for my no-buy this month and snatch up the Billie Boot since the price was finally what I would pay for them and I've wanted them for months now. (I only wish I had a local Madewell!) Fingers crossed that going down a half size works for me! (And they're backordered, so they might not even ship until my no-buy is over!)

  10. I snagged the silk twinklelight collar tank in luxury forest on popback. I have the pearl ivory colorway as well, but have been lusting after the forest green for some time.
