This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like Anthropologie, LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)
have recently encountered items that are similar to
J.Crew, maybe you might be
willing to share that information with us
in this post.
free to share your story on almost any topic—
including experiences with certain merchandise pieces,
promotions/ offers, in-store visits,
transactions with store associates, etc.
everlane cashmere crewneck here:ReplyDelete
The cashmere was soft, but slightly itchy to me, and the cut was unisex; the measurements said I should be a L,but a M would have been a better fit.
I got an everlane cashmere sweater for christmas last year and it was the single most worn item of clothing in my closet.Delete
It fits perfect (I'm a medium in most things, but this is a small) and has held up wonderfully with gentle hand washing - no pilling, no signs of wear (much better than a J.Crew cashmere sweater I got around the same time and wore much less.)
I would definitely recommend and am asking for another this year!
I've shared a lot of J.Crew-like items in this post. Included this week are alternatives for the Bouclé moto jacket, Bennett cropped chino in snowcat, and Aggie ankle boots, just to name a few. :)ReplyDelete
I was checking out Eddie Bauer's website for pants for my husband, and they have some cute looking things for ladies - pretty sweaters, waffle knits, Fair Isle, all that holiday kind of stuff. They even have flannel-lined chinos if you miss the JC ones from years past. FS on $49+ and free returns with code ARCTIC.ReplyDelete
Anthropologie is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with the code COZYUP. You must have one full-priced item in your cart to use the code. Today is the last day for this promotion!ReplyDelete
Piper Street - Jenni of Found In My Closet recently launched an online shop! If you haven't read her blog, she's predominantly an Anthro fan and mixes in J Crew. I love that her inventory reflects her style aesthetic. Many of her pieces sold out very quickly. Click here for the announcement and details.ReplyDelete
forgot to say...they are restocking the online store today at 11am EST.Delete
25% off all sweaters at Madewell. I tried the gamine sweater in two colors. The "cool blue" wasn't as vivid as I'd hoped, but the "heather blacktop" is a nice soft almost-charcoal black that's not as harsh against fair skin as true black. TTS for Madewell sizing (seems to run slightly smaller than JC), not at all boxy and hits me (5'3" but with a long torso) at the low hip. 100% merino, slightly itchy but VERY warm.ReplyDelete
Anyone know if Banana Republic is having an extra percentage off today? I haven't received anything today and I had planned on going there today for a few items.ReplyDelete
I did get an email with 35% off code but online only. Here it is if it helps PVG3KDWZ18ZTDelete
Here's another BR 35% off if someone wants it: MKTGKHXVQDYN.Delete
Thanks! I got that email too but it went to spam so I didn't see it right away. I'm liking BR's flannel shirts right now...hope they come out with more colors though. They are cozy.Delete
I don't need the code after all, but thanks though. You all rock!
I have some Anthro reviews (nightshade skirt and creature feature top) and also review from madewell (Bien Fait sweatshirt) on my blog here.ReplyDelete
Hey, all. Didn't get a chance to mention this in the last Weekly Share, so I apologize for the delay.ReplyDelete
Anyhow, Boden rolled out their Holiday line AND their Spring 2014 preview on Monday, October 28. That was a bit surprising since they typically try to keep the rollouts separated a bit more than that.
I haven't had a chance to do a picks post from the Spring 2014 collection yet (but did at least do a quick write up on it here ), but I have written up my choices from the holiday line here at this post . :)
Lots of pretty to enjoy, and based on the feedback I am seeing, the spring line looks especially popular.
Lands' End is having 30% off sale through November 12. I picked up a few things. Note the 30% off will also apply on top of already marked down merchandise - so potentially some good values.ReplyDelete
if anyone is looking for an amazing baby gift land's end has baby pendelton blankets with a nautical theme marked down to $49.99, with the extra 30% they are a steal. I might have bought four....Delete
Uniqlo Cashmere ReviewReplyDelete

nordie's half yearly sale is going on!ReplyDelete
i'm liking the leather & merino sweater tee from vince (HERE), the gabe jacket from theory (HERE) and this nice green equipment silk shirt (HERE).
A bunch of Madewell reviews hereReplyDelete
Gap is having friends &family this weekend, actually starts tomorrow. 30% off everything. If you get an actual invite you get 40%. I did get email for the 40%. I am silver card holder. They have some great items in right now. The p.j.'s are really cute!ReplyDelete
Boden recently enticed me to buy something by sending me a $10 voucher, so today I finally ordered the Edie heels when they popped back in my size. I can't believe it, but they shipped 4 hours after I placed the order! That has to be a record for them. Normally it takes daaaayyyyys.ReplyDelete
Brooks Brothers/Black Fleece seems to have taken an additional markdown and added new items to sale (at least since I had last visited their site); free shipping for any order through MondayReplyDelete
Just to add to the retailers that are having their friends & family sale now: Cole Haan is offering 30% off (they have some really cute loafers right now) and Sephora is offering 20% off. I think Sephora's sale ends on the 11th, not sure about Cole Haan.ReplyDelete
There are a lot of new Promo-Priced items at Madewell this week. I've updated the list which can be seen here. They also have 25% off all sweaters with code KEEPCOZY at checkout, and free shipping on all orders, too.ReplyDelete
