Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. The BOO promo is terrible. When does it end? Halloween is over! Are there any better in-store promos this weekend?

    1. They've had so many problems with the site in the past few days that they're probably afraid to change the promo!
      Ha ha ha ha

    2. I think the Boo promo end on the 3rd. It is terrible.
In store promo is 30% off, plus 20% off if you are a JCrew card member. Not sure when that ends though...
I hope that promo will carry over to online for the roll-out next week.

    3. 30 off sale items as well?

    4. No not in our store. If you have a jcrew card the 20% will apply to full and sale priced merchandise.

    5. Thanks!!! Hoping for some off sale soon.

    6. @Kate you got your wish for today only...I did get my 2T wool pencil price adjusted to $19.49 (wow!)

  2. I agree. I thought they would offer a great promo considering the site being down this week, but we have nothing.

  3. I don't think I'll visit, but I can't believe I actually ordered something online. I haven't purchased from J crew in so long (bad styles, bad promos), but they marked down some cashmere sweaters and I was able to stack 15%off code and 15%cardperks, so with the extra 28% off sale I thought I'd try. With the poor quality of the new cashmere they are not worth more than $40-$50 anyway. However, I still find them cozy and good to wear now that it's cool out. Plus I love so many of the colors.
Hopefully they will have a %off sale soon, and/or some of the new arrivals will be great.

    1. With the 35% off sale I was able to get a PA, so $43 for a cashmere sweater with % off and extra 15, not bad. Already received it and I love the cropped cashmere cardigan in heather olive. I wish more colors were on sale.

  5. Has anyone seen the Parke blazer color "gentle sea" IRL, or seen any pictures on insta? I'd like to know how accurate the online picture is.

  6. Any feedback on the "Point Sur oversized patch-pocket cardigan"---does it bag out when wearing? Does it look fuzzed out on the racks? I just received one today, and it feels very stretchy. Thank you!

    1. I'm not sure if it will bag out, but it will pill after a single wear. I ordered the green & returned it.

  7. I will go with a return on one of the two Tall pencil skirts, when I first ordered there was no size 2T so I ordered the 4T, just in case it fit. Then the 2T popped up, so I ordered that as well. The 2T is a very good fit, a bit large in the waist but perfect in the hips (the problem with an hourglass figure). It is a lovely skirt, lifetime quality. Excellent sale price if tall sizes work for you!

    1. Got the skirt too.... super fast shipping. It’s super nice fabric, I don’t have any thick skirts like this. Got 2 tall it’s little below my knee I am 5.3, fits TTS. Very elegant... Wish they made pants from this fabric.... awesome buy....!

    2. I'm a bit taller at 5'7", so it's hitting me just at the bottom of my knee which is perfect with heels.

    3. Hooray! Price adjustment brought this skirt to 19.49.

    4. They won’t adjust it for me.....ughh ..... will try different rep..:

    5. I explained that I saw it at that price before CS opened in the AM, which is true. But by morning they were sold out.

    6. Took several explanations but it worked! I also later in the day reorder 2 reg. As I thought the tall was little long.
After midnight I bought 3 pop backs: lodge coat on heather acorn in 4p,for $93... low high wool cardigan in grey for my daughter in med for $25, and cashmere cardigan for $42 from last year I’m heather acorn as well. Also bought the embellished pumps in plaid grey for $60–will pick them up in store today when i go for returns.
Today taking back the liberty puffer... although I liked it I could not make it work, also taking back plaid Cameron pants, my 16yrs old asked for them, they fit perfect in one size up but we are waiting for the tall to arrive tomorrow.

    7. Somehow did not order the shiny bomber jacket for my daughter.... not a big loss... there are no reviews and I think she needs a warmer jacket!!!

    8. @Kate, did you catch the magic hour when the prior sale was active and the new popbacks were posted? I was awake as I have taken today off work, and I saw it. But nothing for me other than a $3 pima cotton vneck tee and a $3 tee dress. I wear tshirts all year, as they go under my sweaters and under my pyjamas in the winter. I got a few $3 tees for my husband as well, they are a bit thin for daytime wear, but he sleeps in too.
The Liberty puffer is a difficult look because of the shape...the green side looks exactly like my Dad's 'garage' coat in the 1980's.

    9. I did see some new stuff. But the website was awful.... ongoing error message for a long time.
I bought a few pop backs as I listed..... I am looking for a nice lady jacket..... I have tons of sweaters already.... I am excited about the black skirts..... i been eyeing an old an old lady jacket F1586 if anyone has it.., I would buy a used....

  8. I've been spending a lot less a J. Crew and on clothing in general the last year or two but I couldn't resist ordering the Glen plaid lady jacket with braided trim - with BOO plus CARDPERKS the price was reasonable. I look forward to getting it next week.

    1. I always use Safari and JC website hardly working with Safari anymore. I tried it with Google chrome yesterday and it was slightly better but still not letting me do things like click on options w/in an item, like Tall sizes.

  10. Besides the website issues which are absolutely maddening, I received the point Sur silk top in Carmel blossom. It runs a size smaller than the black/white one. Why, j crew, why. Sizing inconsistency even between the same items is insane.

  11. Does anyone have any insight on the sample sale that used to happen in NYC in November? They didn't have the one in June as far as I know either. I miss them - they used to have some really unique pieces!

    1. Jan, try using another browser or another device. I was unable to access the site on my iphone or my Macbook using the Safari browser, but I had no problems when I switched to Chrome browser. It's so annoying.

    2. Thank you ! I will have to try later at home.

    3. I'm not having any luck with Safari or Chrome. Site comes up, but when I click on anything, there's the error message. Lots of folks complaining on IG.

    4. You could try deleting your browser history and cookies. Sometimes that does the trick.

  15. I placed an order this morning using the 35% off promo plus cardperks for an additional 15% off. I wanted to use my birthday promo, but I wasn't able to add it with the other 2 promos. Anyone have any luck getting cs to add it when you've already used other promos? I'm tempted to give it a try.

Even though I already have a ridiculous number of blazers, I ordered the Parke blazer in black and white houndstooth wool. I took a look at it when I was in my local store a few days ago and I really liked it, but they didn't have my size in the store (they rarely do). At just under $126, I thought it was a good price for the quality.

I also ordered a leopard print tippi (my last one was eaten by moths) and a leopard print tissue turtleneck. I've always been a huge fan of animal print anything.

    1. @Jeanne, I've called CS, and asked them to apply my birthday coupon with other promos & it wasn't an issue. It's definitely worth a try. Good luck!

Also, thanks for the recommendations on resolving website issue. I didn't do anything, and it "magically" worked long enough for me to purchase a few items for my son.

There are some very good deals, so hope others are able to make purchases. J Crew is making it so hard to shop; don't want to think about what this means for Black Friday and CyberMonday shopping on the website.

  16. I'm just now experiencing Jcrew.com new return process, and see you will be charged $7.50 for EACH order you return. I used to use one mail late and return several orders in one box, thus only paying $7.50 once which customer service said was "fine." Question: can you do this still and only be charged once?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Pathos, this is what I've done for recent online returns (one label, several items in the box) and I was only charged the $7.50 once upon return. I also found the return process to be surprisingly very fast.

      Delete
    2. fast is good! I did the return process for one order where it printed a label, and then return process for another orders as "in store return" so it wouldn't generate a label, and thus a second charge, and then put both in one box. We'll see what happens.

  17. I received my roaring tiger shirtdress. Based on reviews and my shirt size I ordered a size up from my usual dress size. I like it, but don't love it. I was really hoping the silk would be a little sturdier and the dress more structured. It kind of hangs on me. Adding a wider black belt helps and gives it more of the look I wanted, with a nipped in waist and wider skirt. For me the length is actually a little longer than I usually wear and with high heels looks nice. I'll have to experiment with other belts.

    1. Do you think you will wear it or not?

I bought, returned, and re-puchased the printed silk dress H9700 - a black dropped-waist short shirtdress with an ivory circle print. At first I thought too short and not my style...but I was so sad after I returned it. I bought it again on pop-back at an even lower price and wear it with thin black leggings. Now a favorite!

How would you feel if you returned it and couldn't find it again?

      Delete
    2. I do like the pattern and style a lot. It wouldn't be a frequent wear for me because of my lifestyle, so I need to decide if I love the fit enough to keep it. I know others said they didn't think it was so dressy but I'd definitely style it with my colorblock maryjanes (that really match so well), layers of pearls, etc.
