J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. My Princess Mini in the gold color arrived yesterday, I had pre-ordered it over a month ago. The color is darker than the pictures, less bright than I had envisioned. The wool is nice but maybe slightly thinner than the double serge in pencil skirts. I ordered my regular mini size but it was too small, I should have ordered my pencil skirt size instead. I have also gained a few pounds so it's possible it runs less small than I told myself last night when I couldn't get it past my hips. I would exchange for another size but it's sold out in that color, will look for pop backs.

    1. That skirt is super cute, I hope it works out for you! It kills me that they did not make this in black.

    2. Love that skirt! The gold is exactly the color I've been wanting for a late fall/winter skirt. Will be stalking that one!

  3. Anyone have their rewards points disappear?

I looked up my rewards history. I got a $5 reward but it has 0 points pending and the entire history part is empty. Assuming website issues? But I have a lot of points that should be pending especially after all these sales and gift purchases.

    1. Yup, my rewards points/history has vanished. I think it's just website issues as well. I'll probably wait until next week and then if it's still not working, contact CS.

  4. I had my rewards disappear.., but it’s back this am... I did make a purchase.... Sherpa lined boots, jeweled shoes ( rebought cheaper), love them... cashmere wrap... probably don’t need the boots as my Tory Burch boots arrived yesterday... the 15% are stacking today... so it was a good deal..,,
I am still waiting on my adjustment from the weekend... bought too much .... uhgh..,

    1. I also bought the cashmere wrap (and ordered one for my sister too). I was pleasantly surprised the cashmere wrap was included in the promo. :D

  5. OT: LLBean has 25% off their Wicked Good slippers today, including clearance colors. I ordered 2 pairs. I finally tossed my much loved but heavily worn Uggs slippers a few weeks ago and my multiple pairs of J.Crew Lodge slippers are looking quite bedraggled. I pretty much live in slippers and I’ve been very happy with the LLBean Daybreak slippers I bought 2 years ago. I hope I’m as happy with the new ones.

  6. Anyone have the Jackie cardigan in leopard? How's the sizing? I sized up to small as it seems the Jackie usually runs small. I liked the Tippi in leopard but decided to go for the Jackie as the print looks exactly the same and I think the Jackie will be more versatile.

  7. Styling the mockneck sweater in supersoft yarn and beaded crystal tassel earrings on the blog today. Sweater runs TTS to slightly big.

    Partial to Pink

  8. I would recommend the velvet leopard burnout ruffle shell. It looks more expensive than it is (at sale price), and it's very holiday ready without looking cheap.

  9. Received the Liberty poppy floral embellished ankle-strap ballet flats (woo that's a mouthful). I wasn't thrilled about the embellishments because I really don't think this shoe needs it (it's a great Liberty print) and I was concerned the hardware would weigh down the shoe. It's fine - not much heavier than the usual JC flat with sequins, I got my usual shoe size and they fit perfectly. The toe box was comfortable and longer so no toe cleavage, which I appreciate. Usually JC flats like the Gemma squish my pinkie toes, but these did not. The ankle strap is thin and the holes in mine are not well defined so it was a minor struggle securing the straps, but once they were on, it was not too tight as some other ankle strap shoes have been on my feet. I've only worn them around the apartment so far though.

  10. Does anyone have any comments about the Poppy flat in embellished jungle print? I saw them at a great price and couldnt resist the sale googles. Now I am wondering what they might actually be like LOL TIA.

  11. Reviews for BF & CyberMonday Sale finds
SZ Blockprint pjs. Cotton is a nice weight and the print is pretty. I sized up one & that worked. That’s been my practice with this brand.
Lady jacket in lurex Stewart plaid. Fit is tts and hits at the top of the waist as on the model. It’s lined and can be dressed up or down.
Cashmere hoodie in camel. Everyday cashmere has been kinda hit or miss in the sweaters with regard to quality of the cashmere & itch factor. This cashmere is softer and I could wear without a layer. Fit is tts as it should be a relaxed fit.
Abigail Borg dress. Took the larger of my dress sizes & it fits well. Not a fan of poly, but with 60% off and coupons, it was very affordable. Texture reminds me of crepe & it drapes well. Wore it as a “jacket” with matching silk crop pants.
Mockneck fair isle cashmere sweater in blue, pink and green. Took my normal size. You could size down for a fitted look. I prefer the relaxed look. It is long, but you can fold the bottom under to reduce the length. Lots of options for this one i.e. dressed up with sequins or more casual with leather leggings or denim.
Kreafunk Ahead Bluetooth headphones. Ordered navy when they were included in a previous 40% off promo. They’re very stylish with gold accents & love that I don’t have a cord connected to my phone. They’re comfortable on my ears and fit my head well. Sound is really nice & set up was easy. A nice storage box and & drawstring pouch is included. Look forward to traveling with them.
