J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Not a review, but more in the nature of commentary on J.Crew's recent pricing practices...

I went to my local store. Sales section was not looking impressive but I was struck by the fact that it is now grouped by priced. I can't recall the exact groupings, but, for example, there were signs for different prices e.g. $29.99, $49.99, $89.99 and the items marked down to that price were all grouped together. These are all Canadian dollars so I am sure the U.S. JCAs will see different (lower) figures.

But the biggest difference (and who knows how long this will last) - the stuff on sale in store is not final sale. I was expecting this change to occur on the website this morning, but strangely the website sale merchandise appears to still be mostly final sale except from some recent mark downs. This makes no sense to me. I can actually try stuff on in the store so while the ability to take it home and think about it is nice, it is not essential. But I hate final sales for online merchandise. Unless the stuff is marked down so much that it is almost free, or it is a perennial (Tilly sweater, Jackie cardigan etc) there is so much unpredictability in sizing that I have learned to avoid final sales. (Actually there has been some unpredictability in the perennials as well, but I digress.) The online pricing practices are very annoying - especially since petite sizes were pulled from the stores so I can only try them on by buying them online. Tiered pricing promotion started today as JCAs predicted but the final sale is so irksome. Sorry - my commentary devolved into a rant...

  2. Has anyone reviewed the Faux Fur Leopard Coat? Does it run as big and wide as the Liberty Puffer Coat? Can't decide whether I am going to love the fur coat or hate it. It will one or the other.

    1. Same here. I was obsessed with it when I saw it on nyfw. But now reading that it's poly/acrylic, I'm not sure if I want it anymore. How are all fake furs like? Is it really made of synthetic fiber?

      Delete
    2. Yes that is standard for fake furs.

I'm not a huge fan of the leopard coat and I think it may be one of those things you take out of storage one winter from now and wonder what you were thinking. All I can think of is Peggy Bundy.

    3. Totally agree with Cass. If you were trying to define "tacky" to someone from Mars....

    6. @Lauren, lol, trip down memory lane!

But then again, that pink faux fur coat sold out quickly last year. I wonder if the people who bought it will still be loving it this year.

    7. @sega61, I stopped by my store for a return just now and tried the coat on, hoping to provide some sizing reference. I'm going to post at the end of the thread since I have comments on a few other New Items as well. :-)

  3. Well Jcrew got me! Dang it! I didn't see the velvet skirt in the preview this weekend and saw it on the site this morning. In my defense it will be perfect post baby with that comfy elastic waistband. I'm guessing it will take a few months to fit back into my pencil skirts.

Also, the website issues are driving me insane. Every time I go to my cart, a plethora of random items are in there. So irritating.

    1. I am pretty sure it wasn't in the preview. That might be the velvet thing I get for the season. I think I'd like to see it on other people or myself first before I order it though. Depending on if it is popular, I will probably wait until it goes on clearance. Velvet is so seasonal I don't want to buy it too early.

    2. I bought the skirt, too in navy. I'm thinking of the bomber jacket now for the hook-up, but not sure yet.

      Delete
    3. I like the skirt also, but I wish it came in petite! I'm short and I think it will overwhelm me. Do you think it would be easily tailored? I wish I lived near a store!

      Delete
    4. @HollDoll129, Team Petite here! I thought the same thing when I saw that skirt -- love the gold color. I get a lot of items hemmed (even Petite sometimes! I'm 4'11"). I haven't seen the skirt IRL (though I'm stopping by a store today), but if it's not lined, I'm guessing the velvet fabric can be hemmed easily.

      Delete
    5. I'll let you know once I receive the skirt. I wish j crew would offer all bottoms in a range of sizes. At 5'10 24 inches is only doable with tights. I've taken factory skirts to have the gen let down, even with a lining, but I tend to stick to midis at retail so I've never done it. Since it's a cold weather skirt anyways, I'll always wear it with tights regardless so I was willing to try it out.

      Delete
    6. Oh, i should clarify that hemming lined skirts isn't tricky to do or anything, it's just a bit more work so my tailor usually charges more for services.

Can't wait to hear what you think about the skirt, @liztriden!

      Delete
    7. The skirt is identical to the charmeuse pencil skirt from about 2008 or 2009. I have and love that skirt in pewter silk. I may have to bite on the gold velvet.

      Delete
    8. I almost ordered it in Navy. but...its pull on. It seems too cheaply made IMO...why not a nice side zipper? or any zipper. if velvet is a trend for fall all fast fashion will have skirts like this...same quailty only less $ than jcrew

      Delete
    9. @Unknown, good point about the zipper, that would ensure a better fit. (Elastic waists aren't flattering for my straight figure.) I'm glad to see it's lined at least.

      Delete
    10. The elastic waist gives it a more casual vibe. If it were meant to be more of an occasion skirt, it should have a zipper. I think the elastic element was purposeful and not just cost-cutting.

      Delete
    11. I am tempted to order it, since it seems like sizes are going fast, but I have the feeling it might be overwhelming. I'm 5'4" and not worried so much about the length, just about the overall proportions and I am not super into elastic waist bands. They remind me of the type of clothes ordered on HSN in the 90s.

    12. I just bought this skirt in store today. It is very elegant and the skirt felt amazing on. I tried it with a denim top and black heels, it will work great for dressing up and down. I don't mind the pull on style because it adds a bit casualness to a rich fabric so I can get more use out of it.

I also just had a baby 3 months ago and this skirt made me look and felt really good, like my body was my own again lol. The skirt had some silk content and I was surprised by it, since so many of jcrew items are 100% poly now.

      Delete
    13. YaXin D congrats on your new baby! I'm so glad you like the skirt. My baby is due around Thanksgiving so with the holidays I need some presentable clothing (Jammie's at Christmas dinner just won't cut it) but as this is baby #3 I know how yucky I'll feel for a little while. Crossing my fingers I can wear this through the winter months with cashmere sweaters and chambray to tone it down some.

  4. I bit. Denim shift dress (it seems so 70s to me which I love) and the houndstooth mini skirt. I had a code for extra 15% off which was nice but I can't use my birthday code... So lame. I guess I'll try it in the store if I go but I don't have any store stops planned.

  5. I ordered Collection Rugby Sweater. Looks like a good option for casual Fridays & weekends. Debated about green sequin midi but decided to wishlist since I ordered rose gold earlier this week. A few random sale items popped back (heather camel long sleeve cashmere tee, featherweight cashmere tie neck sweater & jewel box necklace). Also had a 15% off coupon so prices were ✅.

  6. I am finding lots to love. Can anyone comment of the quality of the Chateau Parka this year? I love the cotton candy color. I ordered the leopard vest, amour sweatshirt and cream mock neck merino sweater over the weekend with the preview, but I'm thinking I like the parka in cotton candy, the velvet skirt if I can get it tailored, and the wrap sweatshirt as well. This is the first collection I have found this much to love in awhile.

  7. I ordered the elastic waist velvet skirt in navy, the velvet tank in pink, and reordered the Daphne topcoat in camel again. A discount wasn't applied when I initially ordered it.

Plan on wearing the velvet tank over a tissue turtleneck. Considered the gold color, and decided on pink instead. Will look lovely with gray or navy. 😊

  8. I'm seeing multiple redeeming things in this rollout--much better than last few rollouts. I have a bunch of items in my cart to try, but may wait for weather to cool a bit more before pulling the trigger. My likes are the double serge wool v-neck sheath in Tall, collection velvet wrap dress, wide leg prince of wales pant (but will go back if unlined), the belted sweatshirt blazer and tie waist topcoat. More classic pieces and less trendy junk!

    1. You MUST report back if you try on that Velvet Wrap dress!

    2. I will! I will report back now on the collection sequin dress in academic green--i tried it when the new color first came out. Quality of sequins was very nice, but it fit like a potato sack even in the smaller of my two sizes. I don't think sizing down further will help as it's the shape. A shame. I might try the skirt if I see it in store.

      Delete
    3. I tried the silver sequin skirt last year...sized down and it still looked like a sack on me. so no to the rose gold one and the green too. pretty colors. hope maybe they will make tops...just not cropped ( last years silver version was short).

      Delete
    4. The quality of the sequins on the dress was at least better than the silver and rose gold skirts. The sequins on those were really stiff and cheap feeling.

      Delete
    5. I got the rose gold skirt recently (tall size, so it's longer) and I don't feel like it's cheap at all. Looking forward to wearing it this weekend.

  9. hmmm,,, seems like a small rollout. bored, when is the next one and is it bigger?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Unknown, from what I understand via my local store, the larger rollouts are monthly with a "small" rollout inbetween those - this seems to be the new norm vs. much larger rollouts with less frequency. So we'll likely see a small rollout at the end of the month and the next larger one mid-October.

      Delete
    2. ...this is bad news ,I miss the days of larger rolls outs. lots of colors in each piece ...not just one , like this latest rollout (certain items).
not one bag, pair of shoes or boots or even jewelery i want. sad face here.

  10. I think the inadvertent restraint in each roll out is actually such a relief. Bc there aren't a gazillion variations of one idea, you can actually purchase one nice piece and be done. I like the velvet bomber, the velvet blazers (colour tbd), the orbit earrings, the boiled wool coats. If I wore mini skirts, I'd jump on the ruffles houndstooth mini. Also live the glen plaid trousers and the collection glen plaid top. Trying on the liberty shirt bc liberty...

  11. I feel like there is something wrong with me! There is nothing I am drawn to right now. I did not wishlist anything as I did not like anything enough. I think in the back of my mind I am holding out until the weather cools down a bit. I really need to pull out my fall items and see what I have. I know I have some items that are new with tags. Also with the velvet I am just having bad flashbacks to my college days that I can't seem to get over.

    1. I'm right there with you @JessF, even the sweaters that I usually love. I was kind of interested in the mock neck but the product pick made it seem like it would pill like crazy.

  12. I bit on the lookout ecru jeans that are marked down to $32.99 pre-promo. While I wear white lookouts throughout the winter, these might be a nice alternative. Got one pair in tall and another reg length to wear with booties. A few sizes each available in tall, reg and petite. HTH someone. I'm puzzled that these are marked down heading into fall and winter, and that the product names have changed for most of the lookouts to 9" toothpick. Hope they aren't changing or phasing this style out.

  13. Mini reviews based on my quick visit to a store at lunch:

I was there to pick up an in-store order for the Petite Rose-Gold Sequin skirt. Many of you have probably seen this already (& I know it went on sale recently.) The sequin work is excellent and the color is really pretty -- I was wearing a navy-colored top and it was a nice pairing. My usual Petite pencil skirt fit well (couldn't size down, unlike many of the reviews.) Unfortunately I'm 4'11" and the longer length on this one hit at a weird spot below the knee -- my beloved SA did not recommend it. I'm crushed! I still took it home to play around with outfits & see if it might still work somehow. (Due to how it's structured, it cannot be hemmed easily -- would be prohibitively costly.)

Quick observations on a few New Arrivals:
Leopard coat -- fur felt soft, fit seemed roomy. (Can't compare to the Puffer b/c I've not tried that one.) I usually take an XS or Petite version and only the S was available. It came down to my knee, but length didn't seem terribly overwhelming. The body of the coat might though, but then again, fur coats tend to have that statement-making, imposing sort of thing about them. (I felt a little like a WWF wrestler and other such images...)

I tried on and liked Ruffle silk top in star print
Item G9286 -- the white wasn't see-thru and my light-colored bra wasn't visible (darker/full-white colors might show thru though.) I rather liked the ruffle on this one, seemed decorative and neat. The stars & trim are black, in case anyone is wondering.

Also tried the Cropped sweater-blazer (Item H0738) in the Heather Gray. I wish this item were offered in another color b/c the gray (to me) is so boring and I can't do red. But i liked the fit (my usual Tippi size), though it's a TOUCH boxy. Fabric felt to be on the lightweight side for wool.

Also tried the Parke blazer (in wool, not velvet) and I quite liked it, EXCEPT for the body part which is just so long on my torso. (Really wish they'd bring back the Schoolboy!) The camel color is really nice for fall.

Also liked the Boyfriend shirt in topaz plaid
(Item G9912) -- now, I need another button-down like i need a hole in my head, which is why I didn't add this to my Wishlist, but i really liked the color and pattern in person - thought they would be perfect for fall.

I didn't have ample time to peruse, just wanted to offer some quick thoughts. Can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks!

    1. Thanks, TM93, for the helpful review! On the Cropped Sweater-Blazer, is your usual Tippi size different than other JCrew sweaters and tees, for example the Perfect Fit Tee. I am also curious if there is enough room to layer something long sleeved under it. Thanks again.

      Delete
    2. Thanks for the reviews. I also liked the cropped sweater blazer, since I'm only 5' this is a much more flattering length than the other sweater blazer. I agree that the color choices aren't the best. The grey is drab so the red was much better for me. I wish it came in navy or black. I sized down in this sweater. I can wear XS or XXS and thought the smaller size was more flattering but still had enough room for a long sleeve tee underneath.
I second bringing back the schoolboy blazer.

    3. @bythelake, completely agree re) length of that Cropped Sweater Blazer -- it's perfect for Petites! I like the cabernet color of the longer sweater, but I can't do that body length. I would buy the CBS in Navy or black in a heartbeat! Oh, i also like the contrasting colors of the buttons.

@maryeb, ah, good question and thanks for pointing that out b/c I do indeed opt for a size bigger in Perfect Fit Tees, as well as the Jackies. I don't wear shirts under my Tippis so the XS works (Petite Small is actually the best fit), but for Jackies and Perfects, I do take a Small. I was wearing a short-sleeved, thin top when I tried on this item, both in an S and XS. The XS was the better fit for me (S was too boxy), and I'm pretty sure I would still have room for a thin, l/s top underneath. HTH!

    4. Hey the petite club! Thanks for the review of the fur coat TM93. Oh well, the search continues for that perfect leopard coat that will fit little old me

PS: what shoes would you pair w/ your sequin skirt, if decide on keeping it?

      Delete
    5. @JSR i tried the skirt with the kraft brown Lucies and it looked good together.

      Delete
    6. @JSR, oh, I love the idea of a brown-color shoe with the color of this skirt! I was thinking about it and I think a pair of Navy or Light Gray suede pumps would work nicely as well.

Unfortunately, I've decided not to keep my skirt -- my SA was right: too long and too much fabric. I can almost get away with the length (with heels), but the opening of the skirt at the skirt is almost too wide. I'm finding this particular skirt doesn't taper like most pencils so it's a bit too much. Really bummed b/c I like it in every other aspect.

I didn't end up ordering the new Velvet skirt as a results, as I don't think I can pull it off, but I'd love to know how you find yours! (I think my size w/b the XS, but it was sold out in gold anyways, so I can't even try it.)

  14. Since I fear the imminent demise of the good, the bad and the ugly, I have decided that things should not end before I try on a sequin skirt. If it fits and I keep it, fear not: I will not mistake it for business wear or chores-and-errands wear. I will take it to dressy events and restaurants. At least, I will if I can find an appropriate top for it. I'm thinking of a monochrome look, since the skirt's texture is emphatic. At the moment my thoughts turn to a scoop-neck velvet top with 3/4 sleeves or a solid satin blouse, tailored, with tiny dark pearl buttons. I have forgiven the SA who suggested: chambray shirt; striped LS tee; denim jacket. Clearly she was working off a checklist and not from a background that included an M.A. in design from a reputable institution. Cass, I know you're dying to suggest a leopard fake fur vest over a bright pink tank, but too late, I thought of that but decided I'd never find fishnet tights in time...

    1. Thank goodness there are still people who want to pair a dressy top with a sequin skirt. So over the denim/chambray with sequins look. Which skirt are you looking at? The green/silver or the rose gold? The green/silver has nicer quality sequins but I can't speak for the fit as I haven't tried it on yet.

    2. the new green one. I may wind up disposing of the ribbon - have to give it the benefit of a few neurotic fits and some overthinking!

    3. Sometime in the mid-1990s Ann Taylor had an *amazing* holiday collection that included snug-fitting T-shirt bodysuits done in matte satin in black, chocolate, and ivory. Oh, if I only still had them they'd be perfect with a sequin skirt, especially for spiffy events a notch below black tie, like a matinee at the opera.

      Delete
    4. I've worn my silver sequin skirt with a gray tippi and a statement necklace for cocktail attire in winter with good success. Same monochrome idea. The sequins and the necklace and heels all dressed up the tippi.

    5. My nephew is getting married on New Years Eve this year (will have to save my thoughts on this decision for another day). I was pondering the Academic Green Sequin Skirt - with a dressy LS top - for the occasion. Thoughts on appropriateness? I shudder to think of the outfits that will grace the New Years Nuptials.

The only combo that is more stale than denim-plus-sequins to my eye is striped-top-plus-floral-bottom.

  17. I so wish there were reviews on the Collection Velvet Wrap Dress. It looks stunning online and I want it for my cousin's wedding. Problem is, I'm either a 2 or a 4 and 5'10" and this doesn't come in tall sizes. Has anyone tried this? Does it run big or true to size? I tried talking to JC and the only consensus was that it probably has a lot of fabric (meaning I should get the smaller size). 21. I received my big box of pre-order items yesterday and did quick tryons - had some hits and some misses. I am going to the store tonight to do returns and check out the rest of the new items and will get a blog post up hopefully by this weekend.

I'm wearing the silk ruffle neck/bell sleeve blouse today (you can see on my instagram @fablifeforever) - I love the plum color and I don't mind the sleeves. I added the navy Dover blazer after I took photos. The sleeves could stand to be a smidge longer but I wouldn't have wanted to size up in the blouse to get the length. Took my usual size 6.

Everyday cashmere crewneck in camel and the merino V-neck sweater with drawstring sleeves both run on the small side. I tried a small in both and the sleeves were small in the cashmere crewneck and short in the body. It fit similar to a Tippi but really more like a sweater that didn't fit. I'd need a medium to achieve the fit shown on the model. The cashmere is ok - not lush but not scratchy or anything and without pulling other recent cashmere items out it seems comparable to their regular cashmere of late. The merino sweater has slits on the side and the sleeves were too short in the small but I liked the fit through the body so I'll have to see how the fit is in the medium - the ivory is sheer and you'd need a tank underneath. I had to double check the tag to see if it was merino as it didn't feel like the Tippis feel.

Velvet parke blazer - I tried the dried rose and have to say I was surprised how much I liked this. I sized down to a 4 (I have the wool one in a 6 and it's slightly slouchy but I like the fit) and with a tippi underneath it just fits. I like the slimmer fit of the 4 but the body is longer so I can see how this isn't working if you're more petite. I could probably get away with the 6 - if you're broader through the shoulders I'd go with your regular size. The color is definitely more rose than mauve and it's a really pretty pink. I think this may be a keeper.

Lastly the plaid cross strap Sadie flats - I tried my usual J.Crew 9.5 and while I have a little bit of room in them I don't think I could go to a 9. These are really fun and I think I'd get work and weekend wear out of them. I'll do the 60 day return test on them and see if I wear them within the return window - if not, back they go. I haven't added many Crew shoes to my collection as of late but these are something I don't have and the neutral plaid will pair with a lot.

    That's it for now!

  22. The pink and navy rugby shirt shipped in one size (yay, this is the correct size) and the other size is delayed but coming in a couple of days (J. Crew called and left a message). I thought it would be a bit longer but I still like it. It isn't cropped, thank goodness. I just feel like the old rugby shirts were a bit longer.
I like that the button/front placket is pretty deep and you can unbutton it pretty far down, which somehow isn't revealing. The buttons are rubber, just like the olden ones! I like it.

I also received the 2003 washed silk V-neck tank (item G7767) in navy (vintage indigo). This was a surprise love - I put it on and wore it out somewhere right away.

I expected to love the velvet tank (the larger of my two tank sizes is what fit me best), but I didn't think it looked that good on me and I couldn't see myself wearing a velvet tank anywhere on its own. The silk v-neck tank seems easier to layer under something than a velvet tank. The pink color (copper rose) is gorgeous though. The vintage gold color looked more mustard to my eye.

  23. I got a big box yesterday. Some disappointments and some loves:
    LOVES:
Pleated ombre skirt: Fits TTS, and I have a surprising amount of tops and sweaters already that match what might first be perceived as a difficult color match. I had intended just to try this on, return and wait for sale if I liked it. But even at $103 (30% discount), I am strongly tempted to keep this gem!
Cotton ribbed, button sleeve sweater in black. Fits TTS, slim, stretchy fit that isn't too short. This will be a staple for me. Will likely get the other colors if they're around on sale.
Tiger tee. Loved seeing this styled on other people, and was so happy to find the words actually embroidered! Will wear this with loads of things. Fit TTS
    DISAPPOINTMENTS
Oversized cardigan in yellow. I love this, though I'd be really really worried about pilling. Very slouchy and could wear smaller size, but like the fit in my usual tts. But I do not like the tone of yellow. Thought it would be a true yellow, but it has a hint of greenish gold to it that is horrible with my skin tone. Was looking forward to having a cozy, yellow cardigan to brighten up my fall and winter. Oh well. Saved money.
Striped mock neck sweater in tan & black. Worried about pilling. But most of my disappointment is that I didn't love it enough to spend $87 (30% off). Would get if further on sale, possibly. Very very close to a "love."
Tie-waist pants. These almost, almost fit me right out of the package, which rarely happens in pants (especially JC pants!). The waist is perfect, the booty looks good, but as with other pleated trousers, my athletic thighs just pull a bit and open that leg pleat some, making it not-quite-flattering. It might just be a weird body issue thing I have, and this pant style, even if couture made for me, will never work. Came so close to getting these and paying full price for every color. Very very close to perfect. I'd say tts for most people. My waist is small, so if that's largest part of your fit, possible size up.
Sequin floral tippi. Very close to paying up for this. But my $-per-wear not quite there yet.
Silk bell-sleek top, black. Silk is too thin. Just not practical for how I would be wearing this. TTS
Wool dress, ivory. I suspected this might be a Ponte type of fabric, but couldn't truly tell from the description. It is. Going back. Still looking for that perfect ivory dress to replace a silk one that got moth damage. Didn't even take it out of the plastic to try on.
Collection crewneck with layered lame. This is cute. But don't see myself wearing for everyday. Maybe if it goes way on sale, I can justify. TTS
Sweater with ruffle sleeves. Don't love enough to take a risk on pilling of the wool blend. No major complaints, though. Love the green color!
    REVIEWS TO COME ON:
Wrap coat in boiled wool, tie-waist topcoat in double serge wool (raspberry), and foundry pants

  24. Okay, who wants to read about my big box of “not quite”s?

Collection rugby sweater (H0864) - Unfortunately, I guessed wrong on the sizing. I ordered my usual S and it was enormous, kind of folding at the front placket to make a pleat accentuating how bit it was on me. The knit is bonded and seems really nice. I like how the stripes are navy/ivory and the collar is stark white. I’m 5’5” and the back went to the back of my knees. I predict that this will pop back as people realize how huge it is, and then probably sell out again in the smaller sizes as everybody sizes down.

Ruffle top in metallic star print (G9970) - Again, guessed wrong on the size. I ordered my usual 4 and didn’t realize it was a popover, which don’t work on my body as they tend to cling around the bottom. The rest of the body was that kind of cocoony shape. A 6 would’ve worked better but the cotton/silk is paper thin and I wouldn’t wear it enough to justify the $50+ I paid for it. If it goes to super sale I may revisit.

Striped mock neck sweater in merino wool (H1141) - I ordered this before the website updated to show that it was a wool/nylon/cashmere blend, which I never would’ve ordered as it tends to pill terribly. The S fit fine but I didn’t love the heather camel near my face as it made me look washed out.

Pull-on toothpick jean in indigo (G8586) - I’ve been dressing little_lining in the equivalent of these since she was little and have joked about wanting a pair in my size. I ordered my usual toothpick size (28) and they are pretty much the same as those baby jeggings! They were fine but unremarkable and I think I prefer real jeans - they’re not comfy enough for lounging because the legs are skintight.

V-neck t-shirt in Supima cotton (G9046) - Soft, TTS, not terribly long. I needed some v-necks to replace some worn out Madewell ones (04346) from a few years ago, but to be honest I may go with the $7 ones from Target’s new line (A New Day?). Those feel and fit a lot like the Madewell tees.

J.Crew Factory tie-waist shirtdress (G9296) - You’re not able to see this from the item pic, but it has an elasticized waist which for me, really limits its wearability. I like to have the option to wear a shirtdress as a long tunic/coat but this one would have to be worn with a belt. Otherwise, it’s pretty cute and the fabric is heavier than I anticipated. I found it to be TTS.

    1. Thanks for the reviews, I was interested in the collection rugby sweater. I wish the regular rugby shirt was a bit longer, and I think I'll wish this one was a bit shorter. Although I don't see it on the web site so I guess it is sold out at the moment. Just as well, the price was too high. Except I kind of want it lol :)

    3. Hi cate and maryeb - I feel like the Goldilocks of rugby shirts! The regular rugby felt too small in the S and too large in the M. I think I would've preferred it to be a little longer overall.

    4. @silver_lining If you return Collection Rugby sweater in store, would you mind letting me know which one? Ordered my usual size medium and realize it may be way too big. TIA.
