  1. This is actually a very good deal. I bought a couple of knit tees/tops for less than $20 each that had great reviews. They were almost $40 yesterday. I feel like Factory has been stepping it up lately in terms of quality.

  3. I'm curious about the factory "ruffle trim t shirt" G5321, looks like a fun summer top that would be cute under a cardigan too. Doubt it's a t shirt - looks like it's a blouse so wonder why they are calling it a tee.
Tempted to try the factory denim jacket as it's like $40 now and has great reviews.

    1. @Julie, I just received this shirt a minute ago here at work and I can confirm that, despite its Style name, it is indeed a button-down top as the photo shows!(I ordered it last week after confirming same with CS). I ordered it in the Olive and Ivory versions, and the Swiss dots and ruffles make it look like a pretty top. I haven't tried them on yet, so I can't comment on sizing.

    2. Thanks TM93! I figured it was just one of those "item names that does not really describe the item"! Curious to hear about fit and sizing - hope you like it - the olive and ivory were my favorites too.

    3. Hi Julie, I've tried on the top and I think it's TTS (or rather, TT JCrew sizing!) for this style of blouse, which is not overly fitted. (If between sizes, I think it would be safe to size down.) The measurements provided by CS were very accurate and helpful.

I tried on the ivory because I wanted to see how sheer it might be, and it's fairly sheer. I don't think I would wear a cami with it, but obviously light-colored bras.

I have to personally remember that this style of collar isn't the most flattering on me -- it didn't work on this top or on the other one I ordered (SLEEVELESS RUFFLE TANK TOP item G5066) unfortunately. The Swiss dot element is cute, but I wish they hadn't done ruffles AND the tux pleats -- the overall effect just didn't work on me.

I still recommend these (the green shade is a perfect olive shade!) -- just wish we could sometimes get an idea of what the items look like on a real person.

    4. I should add the sizes I take for reference (4'11", 36B, broad shoulders): XS or S for tees, 0 in more relaxed fits and up to 4 out 6P in more fitted tops. Size 0 for well in both of these tops.

    5. Hey Tati, thanks for the review on the I-am-not-a-tee swiss dot ruffle top. It's in my cart. I got the sleeveless ruffle tank on Sat. I actually liked it a lot. I almost did a video in it, but didn't get on before I fell asleep. In the shirt. lol

  4. I agree that Factory has been stepping it up in the quality and fabric department lately. A lot of cotton and cotton/ linen blends the past few months. Also I stopped in my factory store last week and they had again received a shipment of retail and madewell items. Scored the Resume dress for $32 and Silk Belle sleeve top for $20. The items were in the clearance section and were 50% off. I then was able to use the Gilt 35% code on top of that. Too bad there was nothing else in my size I was interested in. Perhaps worth a trip to your local outlet. Seems they are getting the items the clearance stores used to receive. Some items appeared a bit damaged or worn so make sure you examine before buying.

  5. I have a few things in my cart including the blush leather bucket bag which has really good reviews and is ringing up $49. I'm wearing the Factory basketweave dress today in the bright blue color - I had last year's green version and it's a great silhouette. Here and there I have been finding things to love at Factory.

    1. I bought the bucket bag last summer and love it! The leather is nice quality for factory, and it fits a pretty good amount of stuff inside.

  6. Obsessing over the cream denim jacket from the Factory. It is 100% cotton with none of the stretch that comes in 95% of the other white/off-white denim jackets I have tried this spring. Cannot recommend it enough!
