Last Day for 30-50% Off Sale at J.Crew!

J.Crew sent an email reminding customers that today is the last day they are offering 30% off sale, and 50% off Final sale, with promotional code SALESALE.

I think this offer, alongside stores running an additional 40% off Final Sale, is great. I love love love that online sale is not Final Sale too. Definitely makes shopping a lot easier for me.

However, considering how many items are still in the sale section (both online and in stores), I am wondering what J.Crew will do next to move this merchandise. Especially considering new styles are added to the Sale section. Will they offer a similar promotion tomorrow? Will they offer a deeper discount? Reduce prices?

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. I took advantage of this promo last week (when the code was different). SO glad that not everything was final sale! I picked up the Schoolboy blazer before it went final sale (an extra $20 off would have been nice but I like the peace of mind knowing I can return it because I haven't had luck with blazers).

  2. I got lucky w/a pair of Darby popbacks. And they actually shipped, so I'm happy about that. I don't have my eye on anything in particular right now.

There are lots of reviews in the Sale Irl Pic Guide.

    2. cate - I misspoke. Actually they're Cleos. Deep Riviera. they fit and feel like my suede Cleos. I'm happy with them.

  3. Oh, I forgot. I got the tortoise and stone necklace, $89.99 in-store & online.

Also the rosewod pencil ($49.99 pre promo) & lattice pencil skirts ($39.99 pre-promo). I don't wear skirts too much at all these days, but I really loved these prints and see wearing both casually w/a t-shirt & sandals. I reviewed both in this post.

My final item was the crochet trim scarf, reg price online vs $29.99 in-store.

    1. I think the cashmere tipped henley looks great on you. Now I'm tempted to get it before the promo ends. I'm usually a sz. S in JC tops or sz. 4. Do you think the sz. S in the sweater runs skimpy? My featherweight cashmere cardi ran super small and I had to size up in that one, so wondering if I'd have the same issue w/the henley. Thanks!

    2. Gigi. After seeing this post, I went to the b&m looking for the rosewood skirt today along with the flower sleeve sweater and bohemian rose bracelet but came up empty handed. Must mean I don't really need them. The pink geo skirt was tempting though.

    3. Jruby18 - Ikwym about the cashmere running small sometimes. No, not in the henley. TTS, imo. I would get the S. HTH :)

    4. Shopping Celle -- Remember that they will order the sale items for you over the phone if they don't hav ethem in-store. Just ask. Note, the store wants to get the sale, so usually they will check the computer to see if their store has it. There is sometimes backstock in sale items. If it's not in the store, it's not a problem to have an order placed w/store price & store promos matched. I have a feeling you know this, but sharing just in case...

  4. I would appreciate some advice regarding the minnie pants in foulard ($48.99 with the 30% off). What did you guys think about the fit/fabric? Would you get the same size as in cafe capris/pencil skirts? What do you think about the side zipper? Thanks in advance!

    1. I got the same size in these as my ususal cafe Capri or pencil skirt size. They do have some stretch so they are more forgiving than plain woven fabric and very comfy. HTH.

    2. The ine thing to watch out for is the pattern placement. On the Minnie that I got the pattern was not aligned on the front, just where you notice it most. Quality control should have noticed this. But if not FS you can always return them of course.
Like Shopping Celle I find them TTS, and very flattering. The side zipper gives a kind of 50s vibe

  6. I grabbed the black Audrey ballet flats on a pop-back during this sale with an extra 50% off. They shipped today - hope they're nice IRL.

I posted a styling idea for them here.

  7. I'm all about the random pop-backs. There's nothing currently in sale that's occupying my mind. Maybe if they came down in price, I'd give some pieces another look.
