Happy Memorial Day! {celebrating with J.Crew?}

Happy Memorial Weekend Everyone!
I wish everyone a great Memorial Day (with great weather and safe travels). :)

Since a lot of us will be attending various outdoor parties, parades, and traveling to visit family and friends- I thought it would be fun to get ideas of what to wear today.

I will be wearing the Embroidered Floral Racer Dress (item A5586), currently on sale for $119.99 before discounts. (I read from a fellow JCA that this dress went on sale for $129.99 in stores about a week ago. I immediately went to my local store and scooped one in my size. I am so glad I did! This dress has practically sold out in all sizes.)

I love this dress. The floral embroidery is so pretty in person. It can easily be dressed up or down. I plan on dressing it down with a Factory Denim Jacket in Carbon (item 02661) and a pair of black Cece Ballet Flats. Plus, it has pockets!

What are you planning to wear this Memorial Day weekend? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  1. I was planning on wearing the new critter shorts. They arrived yesterday and although the website says 4 inch inseam, they are three inches. The plastic packaging on the shorts lists them as a 3 inch and I measured as well. They are going back immediately. Why in the world can't they offer the cute patterned shorts in longer lengths as well as the 3 inch? Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. Gosh, I hope to wear something cute this weekend! Mine includes yard work and a country hike with my dog. But I think I see a reason to wear my new Boy shirt in Tropical neon maybe with the khaki green utility pant from last year and new new Crystal Shade earrings. Maybe just to the local pub. Also will be visiting J Crew to do a price adjustment, so I'm sure I'll be dressed in some Crew for that. Have a wonderful and safe weekend fellow Crewsters!

  3. I haven't decided yet...it will mainly depend on what we decide to do on Monday, as well as the weather. My parents are driving up from Florida to visit us for a while, and they'll get here on Sunday, so we may end up going to Glacier Park on Memorial Day. If we do, I'll probably wear jeans, a tee, and J.Crew or Madewell jacket since it tends to be colder there in May than it is in most places. Otherwise I may opt for a maxidress if we spend the day here locally.

    Have a wonderful weekend, and a very Happy Memorial Day everyone! :)

  4. Alexis, I am wearing the same dress! I just got it in the mail yesterday, and my daughter asked me to wear it to match her -- she's wearing a black and white much hipper ensemble: this with a long black tank top under it, and this. I have loosened up on her clothing shopping -- her closet used to be 90% crewcuts, but the only crewcuts she will wear now are the graphic tees and the sundresses. Her clothing of choice (not much, since she is at a uniform school) is unfortunately, Justice and Abercrombie, but I still get the last say in what comes home with us and even I have to admit, those stores do have some cute offerings.

  5. Have graduation parties for my niece and other family friends, so I'll be wearing my photo floral skirt with a nice, simple tee and cashmere cardigan (when in AC). Feel very feminine in this skirt and can dress it up for church and down for the outdoor parties. Have a great weekend everyone!!

  9. Does anyone know what happened to the Reviews sections of J.Crew items? For a brief moment, maybe a couple weeks ago, I saw that items had reviews and I received an email asking if I wanted to review something. Am I going crazy or did the review disappear??

    1. you right - the review seem to have vanished. When a get the look page loads (multiple items) I can see the stars and the link to read reviews. When I click to read reviews, they vanish.

    2. I have noticed that the reviews (all of them) appear and disappear multiple times a day. I am not sure why or what's going on with that feature. Really weird too. Sometimes, I see the same as PTO Prep, I see the reviews and then they vanish without a page refresh.

    3. I am having the same issues when I am on my laptop (I use Safari). Reviews may pop up for a second while the item is loading, but then they are not showing up. In the past, if I cleared browsing history and deleted cookies, then closed and re opened Safari, the reviews would show up, but that's not working anymore. However, I can see the reviews on on my mobile device.

  11. Today, Loft ponte leggings with Lightweight Merino scalloped edge sweater in pesto with Madewell storyteller scarf, the NYC one from a few years ago, and some black ballet flats.
    Tomorrow I am planning on wearing the Merino Mesh-sleeve sweater in heather sky with an old, old JC denim skirt that is a faded light blue shade, and Madewell red hole punch skimmers from a couple of years ago.

    I really wish Madewell would bring back the skimmers and the storyteller scarves. Love, love these.
