Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Has anyone heard or know when the holiday style guide, holiday merchandise will arrive in stores? Since November starts this Friday...and I know they will launch new merchandise earlier than their usual 3rd week of the month roll-out.

  3. Went to both retail and factory stores this weekend. Retail was kind of disappointing; sale items were only 20% off at the B&M I visited. Sale section very picked over. Wasn't wowed by much of the new arrivals, either. The items I was considering all had issues. Jeweled sweatshirt was pulling at my hair, so no to that. Foulard popover = strangely thin, semi sheer fabric. Maybe on sale but not full price. Embroidered lace Tippi looked ridiculously oversized on me in my normal size - like a big bubble!
Factory was 40% off entire store; I didn't notice anything 50% off. Bought a few basic sweaters using the 20% card I got in one of my online Factory orders. SA said first holiday rollout is Tuesday, 10/29.

  4. I did not, but I did purchase something online from Factory. I know I should have waited, but I wanted to try the leather panel gigi pants.

  5. Looking for the crystal wildflowers necklace. Mine broke on Saturday when I dropped it and it is all sold out online. The store associates were not helpful in trying to track down another one for me. Has anyone seen it? Thanks!

  6. I did vist the Toronto Outlets Factory Store and bought the Scalloped Lace top in Black, the Polka Dot Charley sweater in Kelly Green, and the Tilda dupe Jewel Collar Oxford Shell in blue. Even my husband (who rarely buys anything) bought a few things. The store was well stocked and well laid out.
I did go into the retail store in Yorkdale, Toronto yesterday, but didn't find anything to inspire me and came home empty handed.

  7. Went to my local retail store yesterday. Tried on every coat I could and adored them all. Ordered the Cocoon Coat in Regal Blue. Will order a Majesty Peacoat before the end of the sale.

  8. I received the Stadium Cloth Boulevard Trench I ordered in Deep Violet. This is the blue coat I've been waiting for, such a deep pretty blue color (more blue than purple IMO). It reads as a royal blue to me. This is a good length for me with pants and the belt is just long enough to tie.

I also ordered a few things in the Heather Mineral color to try. The cashmere rib-trim scarf is great, both in the size/volume of the scarf and the color. Not sure what I'll keep but definitely the scarf.

The fair isle leggings in navy/hydrangea/green are great too. They might run a bit big. I wear a size 8 in pants and a size small in these leggings.

Guess I should have waited for Reviews day, will copy it over then.
