J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals! {maybe?}

It looks like J.Crew had a {small} update to its website (click here to view online). (I could not tell at first. I had to compare the current screen to its predecessor in the last post, where there is a small difference. Honestly, I am not even 100% sure there is enough new merchandise to say there is an update in new arrivals. ;) What do you all think?)

Update:
"Thanks!" to Suzy (in this post) who confirmed there was a small update online!

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here). The latest catalog (click here to view) is available to view on J.Crew's website.

There is a nice feature on the website that showcases the Spring 2013 Shoe Collection (click here). There are a lot of drool-worthy eye candy. I am personally in love with all the variations of the Janey Flats, like the Collection Janey Jeweled Bow Snakeskin Flats (item 01081; $375.00).

Plus, J.Crew has a tiny update to their Final Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Some merchandise increase for everyone (a jump from 615+ to 670+ for Women and 220+ for Men). Frankly, it was not worth the wait. Hopefully, tomorrow morning will be a better update. :)

Did you catch the update to new arrivals? What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. Yes, there was a small update yesterday...I mentioned it in a post under the 30% off post Wednesday - my VPS mentioned it to me. It was very small. She had told me after the big roll out that there were a few small roll outs coming.

    2. there's a nice looking leather moto jacket, priced at $800+

    3. I think the moto jacket has disappeared! It is not on the site and customer service told me that it doesn't exist. We all know that they are not vigilant about removing sold out items - so I believe it was removed for some reason. Anyone have a link?

    4. Re: the moto jacket, was it white with zippers? If yes, I had seen it too. If you copy & paste this link into your location bar: http://www.google.com/search?q=polyvore+j.crew+Product+Short+Desc+-&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=8lIdUZClGcHs0QHtloCgCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=768&bih=916#biv=i|16;d|-5qCAJOJLqXFtM:

you should see an image of the jacket. The results are from google images. When you click on the link to take you to the jacket page, it takes you to JCrew's site but the jacket isn't there. They must've loaded it too soon & then pulled it. This was one of the many "Update Product Desc - " items loaded this a.m.

  2. I was very disappointed with the updates this morning. Not worth getting up at 5:30 for! Perhaps it's because they've sold out of most fall/winter items?

    1. exactly. I got up at 530 expecting an updated sale list but not much. Good that I could go back to sleep :)

  3. The following look promising to me...the Ponte Swing Dress, Tybee Patent Slide and the Wrap Pencil Skirt. I wear my Ponte Dot dress all the time.

  4. Love the pencil wrap skirt - however, I so wish J. Crew would add more A-line skirts! I can't wear the minis to work, and I have more than my fair share of pencil skirts. They had an A-line skirt years ago I bought that is my favorite skirt, and I'd love to add some variety to my work wardrobe.

  5. Thanks for the letting us know about the small update Alexis and Suzy. It seems to get more and more difficult to notice the new arrivals with so many little updates, instead of the large ones they used to have a couple years ago. I really preferred them over all these small updates they have now.

  6. For those interested, there are a few new Promo-priced items today including the Sera top in Medallion paisley and Kimono-sleeve maxidress (solid version). You can see the updated list with the new additions here.

    1. Jcrew and their pricing games as usual. The sera top in medallion paisley retailed at $110 to begin with, but now it's "marked down" to $110. Yes, the 30% off applies now, but why not just ADD it instead of trying to dupe us into thinking we're getting a better deal? To me, it's like outright lying.

  7. Just an FYI but my PS told me that web updates were happening on wednesday now rather than thursday. He wasn't sure why but they changed them it sounds like. Can anyone else confirm this?

  8. I noticed JCrew is running a promo through Facebook. Use the code HEART for 15% off anything!

  9. i don't know if anyone already said this.... but if you're a fan of J.Crew on Facebook, you can redeem an offer for 15% off today only. Haven't tried the code yet tho.

    Happy shopping! :)

    1. Thanks so much! I did a mock check out and it worked so I emailed my VPS with a couple of FP spring items I've been eyeing! This made my day.

  10. I was thinking of snagging a schoolboy jacket last night, but ended up with an eBay Bella instead. Yay!

  11. Agreed with FFM, the tiny updates are a little annoying.

Wow - JC has really committed to the Etta (8 styles) and Janey (7 styles) shoes for this spring! They must have done well last season.

I kinda like the ivory leather moto jacket...

  12. The sweater I wanted was pulled from the sale section and returned to the regular price section. I'm not happy.

  13. Can anyone comment on the comfort and fit of the everly pumps?

  14. Anyone have a review of the Indian voile popover? I'm loving the vibrant fuchsia color, but of course I wait until final sale to want to buy it...

    1. TXgirl14 - I have two of the Indian voile popovers. Love em. They're very easy to wear. I can't recall if I wear them without a cami or not. I think I usually put an ON tank. It's a spring/summer top.

    2. TXgirl14, I have three. Love them but they're a delicate, very light cotton. I've worn them under other button up shirts and of course sweaters and I will definitely wear a cami underneath when I wear them solo in the later spring/summer. They are semi-sheer. gigi is right on. It's definitely a spring/summer top.

  15. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the 30% final sale seems to be in stores now, too.

  16. It was hard to find what was new, didn't seem like many items. I didn't see anything that piqued my interest or filled a need in my spring/summer wardrobe. The shoe layout is pretty, even if I don't want any of the shoes!

  17. This business with the little updates calls to mind the article in the New York Times about Zara, and how Zara's constant updates had forced other retailers to have more roll outs in order to keep up with shoppers who like a steady fix of new stuff. It was an interesting article, and pointed out how Zara's production is completely different from, say, JCrew.

  18. The Facebook 15% off code is HEART.

It's tempting. I really want to try the Everly Wedges. But 15% off essentially pays for the tax. The shipping becomes free. But still . . . $200 for shoes. I really try not to do that.

  19. Oops. Looks like the merino inky floral should not have been promo priced yesterday. Today it is back to FP, I bought two sizes (S & M) at $89, hope they ship.

  20. I don't know where to post this, but I went to Lord and Taylor yesterday and I noticed several Liberty shirts. It was a small section of shirts similar to the Liberty shirts sold by J. Crew in the past. The price was $174 per shirt. I also noticed a pretty olive green floral shirt that I had never seen before. When I first saw them I thought they were by another company, but when I looked at the label I noticed "Liberty Art Fabrics." Two of the designs are exact copies of previous shirts sold by J. Crew. I tried to find them on the Lord and Taylor website, but when I do a search, I don't get anything.

  21. st - Found the Liberty shirts on Lord & Taylor's website. They are on sale for 51.99. Very cute, I do remember J Crew ones. Cannot get the FEB code to work for an additional 25% off clearance. Their website is just awful!

  22. I was wondering about the merino inky floral: I tried it on yesterday (for the second time) and no one mentioned a promo. Then I saw FFM's list of current promos last night and put it in my shopping cart and ran the STYLE30 code and voila, yes $89. I thought, hmm, maybe I should get it but never thought I would have to decide immediately. Yes, today, full price. Boo.

    1. Margaret. I ordered S & M since I have not tried on. If and when I receive it one of them (see post below) will be available for promo price. Send me an email if you would be interested and I can let u know what size I would be returning.

    2. I am sad I couldve gotten for $89. I saw the promo price yesterday at $128 instead of $148....Today I went into the store and bought it with 25% off the $148 price.

    3. Ladies, if you shop with a VPS sometimes they honor a promo price after the promotion has ended. Mine honored the navy Tippi price and shipped for free.

    4. @crewmum: Is that through a store or the live chat online?

    5. crewmum - my VPS honored the exact same purchase yesterday :)

    6. Thanks ladies I am not sad anymore!!! I called and they honored the $89 pricing from yesterday and I threw in the Blythe Blouse with 30% off!!! Also used my rewards!!! Awesome!!

    2. Nevermind...found the shirts. Btw, this was a supposed to be a reply to shopalot. :) I think the promocode only works once you enter payment information. I've never shopped with Lord & Taylor, so just going by what the fine print says..:)

    3. Found what shopalot is talking about, but these look nothing like the shirts I saw yesterday. However, the shirts I saw yesterday were not on clearance. Two of the them are exactly like previous offerings of J. Crew by Liberty Art Fabrics. I know because I have one of them. The L & T description of these shirts is really skimpy. The web description doesn't even bother to suggest why these shirts were $174.

  24. Better sale update this morning. Managed to wrangle the Cocoon coat in dublin green for about $40 less than I purchased it on Tuesday (Ha!) and added some basics to the pile for free shipping. What's more, not a single Final sale item in my bay. Yay!

    1. Hi, did you notice if there were any 00 size cocoon coats in any colors left?

      Delete
    2. I don't recall seeing that size but I could eb wrong. The smallest size I recall seeing was 0 and it was only available in Dublin.

    3. Hi Unknown! I did see a 00 right when it updated. It was only available in black. When I ordered a green one in my size a few minutes later it was already gone. You might also try calling some stores to see if they still have any since the 30% off is in stores now too!

  25. There are a lot of new Promo-Priced items again today. I've updated the list here.
