J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Opinions may differ, but I received my medallion paisley Sera silk top and IMO it's pretty awful. I was expecting something more subtle, but in reality it's a bandanna print with a garish fuchsia and neon green. DH called the print "flamboyant cowboy's snot rag." I didn't even take it out of the package to see if it fit.

Speaking of garish, I would love to hear IRL impressions of the Ponte dress in sweet papaya. Fab or fug?

    1. Hexicon, it would have only gotten worse had you tried it on. Short and unflattering. I don't mind a billowy top but this one managed to make me look wide and awful! So disappointing.

    2. I haven't seen the Medallion Paisley print on the Sera top, but I saw it on the shorts and scarf and I really liked both. The scarf in particular, I thought I would buy. I didn't notice the fuschia and neon green that much. I'm not a fan of neon on me so I'd better have another look before I buy it.

I tried on the Ponte Swing Dress in Dark Papaya, is that the same one you meant? I thought the color could be fab. It was a bright happy color, not neon.

    3. I tried on the Ponte Swing Dress, too. It was not flattering on me at all. I'm very short waisted and this dress is definitely only for the long waisted. Had it fit, however, I thought it would have been a cute day dress. I liked the color...almost red, but not too harsh on my pale skin.

  2. I recently bought the jcrew factory emery flats in bronzed clay. They are by far the softest most comfortable flats ever. I've received so many compliments on them. I even tried on a pair of dupes from Anne Klein the day after I received my emery flats and there is no comparison. The emery flats by far fit better and feel better on. Definitely worth the money. I've already gotten so much use out of them. Come check out how I styled my emery flats on my blog, Pigtails and Pearls.

    1. I throw a conflicting review in...I love how they look but find my Emery flats to be stiff and unforgiving on my toes. Any bigger and I'd walk out of them, so size isn't the problem, its the fake leather that seems unwilling to bend to my foot! I wear them but only if I don't need to walk a lot.

  3. I got a few factory items in the heartthrob print.

    J. Crew Factory Classic Crewneck Cardigan in hearts in red, xs
Much softer than I expected. Fits true to size in comparison with J. Crew's xs. Fun, vibrant color (more of an orange-red than dark red for the J. Crew heartthrob version). Three-quarter sleeves.

    J. Crew Factory Girls' Printed Poet Blouse in red, 14
I knooooow! Bought something from the children's section for myself. But it fits! I wear xs or 0 in women's shirts and my bust is 32D. I have to wear a unpadded bra but this shirt fits fine in length. The sleeves were too tight at the buttons to keep buttoned up but unbuttoned it looks fine. Great buy!

    J. Crew Factory Printed Phone Case for iPhone 5 in red
LOVE this case - I bought a second one. At the corners abrasion is taking off the color revealing the white. Since it's so cheap and VERY cute, buying a couple is definitely worth it. Mainly cause I can't seem to find any iPhone 5 cases that are cute.

Anyone looking for some inspiration for the heartthrob print should check out this post.

  4. Recd the funnel coat and Ryder buckle boots. Funnel coat is amazing (bright purple is the color I bought). The color is not neon bright but a deep muted purple. Silhouette is gorgeous and fits beautifully. It runs a td small so I would size up if you want to wear more than a tee shirt underneath. I am going to buy it in another color if it goes on further sale. Ryder boots are super comfy and stylish. I love that the ankle shaft isn't so wide since I have skinny legs. Perfect for wearing them with skinny jeans of black leggings.

    1. I just received Ryder boots as well in the slate grey colour. They fit a tiny bit longer than TTS. I have narrow feet and skinny legs too. Love them!! Great purchase at an amazing price.

  5. So disappointed with the Hummingbird Collection Capri's - Pants came snagged in at least ten spots (SERIOUSLY!). The pocket areas were the worst, they had snag lines... yes lines... Print is beautiful but fabric choice was poor. Back they go...

On a good note, Janey liberty flats are adorable! Very vibrant colors I can wear year round :)

    1. Wow. How on earth did they pass quality control? They belong in the warehouse sale for $10. And even then... it's really too bad they couldn't have used a nicer fabric!

Glad to hear the Janey liberty flats are adorable - they are on my wishlist!

    2. That is my question... seems to happen to me a lot :( Ordered the Calf Hair Everly, received the Calf hair Viv's - and OF COURSE Everly's are now sold out.

    3. Can you post pictures of the Janey flats? Just wanted to see how they look in real life.

      Thanks

    4. Milljcrew that is so disappointing about the hummingbird capris fabric. The print is gorgeous.

    5. Maybe that is why the pants were priced lower than the skirt, when you would think pants would be more labor intensive and use more material.

  6. anyone try the matchstick jeans in white? Do they fit like the regular matchstick jeans in blue and black? Asking because I love the regular blue ones I have and tried the cropped white version and the fit was way different and I was wondering if it was because they were cropped or because the white is a slightly different material.

    1. Wellfedfred-is that black quilted jacket from JCrew? It wouldn't surprise me as JCrew has been making big references to Isabel Marant past seasons.

  8. Purchased the beaded rose bracelet - my PS said she was seeing it on everyone, which I'm starting to doubt. I'm going to have to leave it for spring and summer - you can't put a coat or a blazer on or off with it on.

    Replies
    1. The beaded rose bracelet is very pretty, but definitely not practical for this time of year. And every time I see it, I can't help but wonder how easy it would be to make a similar version for a fraction of the cost. A quick search on etsy and you can buy similar flowers in any color you want. That listing is just an example... there are many more out there. In any event, it'd be fun to make a similar bracelet in a different color if you like the J.Crew one.

  9. I purchased the beaded rose necklace, and I think it was Ema who predicted it may easily chip because of the flat paint. Bingo - that's exactly what happened on my third wear. JCrew CS was great about it, but I decided not to repurchase another one. Anyway, just a warning to treat it carefully (which I did) and to maybe treat it with something? Not sure if that's possible.

    ReplyDelete

    1. That's so disappointing! Thanks for letting us know. Perhaps the necklace would be a better choice since it doesn't get banged around as much in everyday life.

  10. Received the boy shirt in dots and I didn't like it at all. I should know not to ever buy anything with 'boy' in the name. It was shapeless and not feminine. It might look better on someone bustier than me since there was sooo much extra fabric in the chest. The hip sizing was TTS. Also, the blue was not flattering on me. But, I like the fabric and the dots. Cute shirt on someone else! I'd prefer a darker color with a more feminine cut.

  11. Miss JR, sorry wouldn't let me reply, the matchstick jeans in white fit the same as the reg jeans. The material is not heavy, you cannot see the pockets, but you can see every ripple, dimple in your thighs. Go girl if that is not an issue for you...was for me. Size up and you would have saggy crotch in an hour or two.

  12. Can anyone comment on the fit of the Miri midheel pumps? Are they running TTS and width? Thanks!

Tried the Liberty Peasant shirt in the store this past weekend, and found it to run large. I sized down from my normal S to an XS, and it still looked larger in the torso and arms than it does on the model in the March catalog. It also has a pocket w/button on the chest, which I don't see in the catalog shot and did not like. Loved the Lodden Paisley print though.

Tried the Sera top on again, this time in two sizes down from my usual 4 (although sometimes I can do a 2), and was much happier with the fit. It's the perfect length for me, but I'm short-waisted, so this top will not work for taller women I think.

The Sail Colorblock Jacket (pg 41 in catalog) also ran large in my opinion. Not sure what they mean in the catalog by a slimmed down fit. Tried an XS instead of my normal S, and it was plenty roomy, although I thought the sleeves were a touch short then. It's cute, but I don't need it, especially at the current price.

    1. @Linds -- there is one Miri review here
      http://jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com/2013/01/looking-to-love-with-jcrew.html

I would also love to hear more about the Miri pumps. I can't do anything higher than 3" anymore and it's a struggle to find mid-heels that don't look matronly.

      Delete
    2. I thought the Miri Midheel pumps fit TTS. I'm an 8, bought an 8. I have not given them a serious workout, but they were comfortable when I wore them. I really love them, just the right height and shape for me.

  13. Can anyone comment on the quality and/or fit of the Factory Tailored Boy Blazer in Eyelet or the Factory Stripe Linen-Cotton Mini please? I don't live anywhere near a factory store, unfortunately.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Love the liberty print blazer. It's perfect for Spring, Summer and Fall, imo.
Love the eyelet top in ivory with the eyelet collar. Can pair with denim no problem but I love mine with the minnie black pant.
Love the color-block cardigan in navy and mint. Very Spring worthy.
On the fence with the mint eyelet capri. Love last year's version in rose but it seems this year the eyelet is bigger.
Disappointed to hear about the quality on the rose flower necklace and hummingbird capri. Glad I didn't bite on those purchases.
Other than that, I didn't see too much in my local store that caught my eye. The March catalog seems promising and I'm holding out for some of the featherweight cardigans because I need a few colors.

I've given up my blog as a review machine VIVA LA BEAGLE because I cannot get into it. I much prefer writing my thoughts here because I get more information from this one location---Thank you!

  15. Tried on the beaded sweatshirt (not in catalog) in navy. It is very cute, I sized up and it still seemed fitted. I didn't get it because I wasn't sure if over time it wouldn't seem like I'd been "Bedazzled". The beads are in a grey/silver color and well placed, I think many are going to really like it.

I looked for the Glass Petals necklace and didn't see it in the Bellevue B&M. Too bad everyone is saying it's so neon, if it looked like the catalog I would have bought it.

A log of the printed JC fabrics are thin, including the Liberty shirts, which bothers me. The Liberty Schoolboy in June Meadow is pretty because it is lined but the shirt in June Meadow and Lodden Paisley make the white look less white because my (pale) skin shows through. I'm waiting for the Kate and Millie print to arrive but I'm getting less optimistic that it's a keeper.

Tried the Liberty Collar merino in stripe sweater and the merino is really thin. As pretty as the collar was on the stripe, it just didn't feel like $125. at all.

Bought and returned the Merino in Inky Floral. It is a beautiful print but I feel like the merino should have been slightly more substantial and it doesn't back the silk front. So the silk front which is sort of "firm" is pressed against your chest and felt a little odd. Runs TTS.

The Indigo Floral was in the store and the fabric is substantial. I didn't try the styles and they didn't have the jacket at the time but it looked nice.

The Peony Tshirt is beautiful. Living in the PNW I don't need many T-shirts but the peonies are gorgeous and it looks like art on the beige linen.

The Tresco floral is sort of bold but very beautiful. The fabric is off-white but the print is very detailed. I wish JC didn't use lighting that makes every fabric look whiter than it is.

I bought the Raglan in Stripe cashmere sweater in lemon/mint. I'm in love with the heather mint color and the lemon is beautiful with it. I could see wearing the kiwi gingham with the heather mint too which I wouldn't have thought of if I hadn't bought this. The sweater runs TTS to large.

I also ordered the cashmere boyfriend sweater in heather mint. They have the picture of the model wearing it in all the stores and in the catalog - they wore me down!

Can anyone tell me if the cashmere Tippi runs TTS/large/small? I saw one blog that said the cashmere ran slightly smaller than the merino, is that true?

    1. I found the polka dot and solid ones to run slightly large.

    2. Thanks for all the detailed reviews. They are very helpful. I was seriously considering the Inky Floral sweater. Did the front look odd, not being backed by the sweater fabric?
I'm also wondering about the fit on the Peony tee. Thanks again.

    3. I have one cashmere solid Tippi and it's the same size as all my merino ones.

    4. maryeb, I am still on the fence on the Inky Floral. I exchanged it for an XS from a S and the fit is slightly better. For me, the sleeves, shoulders and neckline are not fitted so it all just kinda hangs strange. The print is beautiful as Elizabeth said, the front not being attached to the merino was not an issue for me but there is just something strange fitting about the whole sweater. I got a great deal on mine $71 and nothing else from Feb or March has appealed to me. HTH

    5. Thanks for your reviews, esp. the thinness of the liberty shirt fabric. That is disappointing to hear. I like nice thick fabric or at least fabric you cannot see through for $150

      Delete
    6. Ugh, I wonder if the Tippis are different sizes by color, we've seen that before.

Mary, I don't know how the Inky Floral Sweater will be after cleaning but the silk is sort of stiff which makes it feel a bit like you're wearing a picture. I really think if they had backed the silk with the merino, it would have softened that up .

The Peony was TTS and not fitted over the body, so sort of straight down which I think is due to the linen fabric.

  16. Over the weekend I purchased the Lulu Frost for J.Crew art deco cuff. It was still full price in store, but they honored the sale price minus the 30% off and my teacher discount. So it came down to a great price. The bracelet IRL is wonderfully sparkly and a unique cuff design. The stones are a very pretty baby blue. I have it on today with a Navy Tweed dress and I can also see wearing it with a simple white T and jeans. It really is a nice piece.

  17. I tried on the mid-rise toothpick jeans in white. They fit like regular toothpicks and mid-rise toothpicks (size up). It seems like the material is really thin compared to other denim brands for white jeans. Still really cute. You can see the pockets, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I have older JCrew jeans that still look and fit great and you cannot see the pockets:) Wish they still made them that way. Hanging on to my "vintage" items.

    1. Ema the Peony tee looks gorgeous on you. I too think it will be a huge seller and that while white is usually preferable, here the beige looks perfect.

The Peony sweatshirt looks good on you too but I know what you mean by "it doesn't drape well". That's a good way to put it and it may be where it looks better on the outside than it feels to the wearer.

    2. Thank you Elizabeth. Is the panel front in the merino inky floral sweater the samefabric/feel than the one on the sweatshirt? I have never seen it IRL and your comment made me curious.

  27. I have a quick question: I'm wanting some new black pants for the upcoming Australian autumn. I'm tossing up between the pixie pants and the Minnie pants, but really am not sure which would be better.
I have some Minnies already, in purple and red, but find them too short - I got them in size 00P. I have short legs, but the minnies are a bit too short for cooler months.
The pixies look good on the website, but are quite $$$.
    Does anyone own them?
    Which would you pick?
Would the Minnies in regular size work better.
    Apologies for all the questions!

    1. I love my minnie's in Bi stretch wool. I bought the twill but for some reason I was not a fan. I have the cabernet, black and caramel minnies and wear them all winter tucked into high boots. Once warmer weather arrives I will wear them with flats. I always buy Tall to get the extra length (however I am 5"9"). Whenever I go out and plan to stop over at a friends I pop a pair of flats into my bag so when I take off my boots the minnie pants don't look odd.

      Delete
    2. I think Minnie's are more of a pant, whereas the Pixies to me are like leggings. So, if you want leggings, get the Pixies, but if you're looking for more of a pant, albeit a very skinny leg pant, go for the Minnies.

      Delete
    3. Oh, and I think the regular Minnies are pretty short. I'm 5'4" and I got the regular Minnies. I'm sure if I got them in petite, they'd be too short.

      Delete
    4. I have the Pixie pants, & they are def my go-to for legging style outfits with boots. The website very accurately describes them as "sleek & structured". The ponte fabric is very forgiving, & gives a more polished look than regular cotton type leggings. No baggy knees (like you'll get w/Minnies), even after multiple wears, & they aren't lint magnets (like the twill Minnies in black). If something is on them, it's very easy to brush off. I recommend them, even at f/p, because they feel like they'll hold up a very long time.

I have & like the Minnie pants, bi-stretch wool being my favorite over the twill, but they don't work out so well with boots.

      Delete
    5. Thanks so much Lizt, jruby18 and just visiting. I think I may go with the pixie pants, as the bi-stretch wool would be too warm for our winters, and the twill are a bit annoying in terms of knee bagging and length. I also suspect that the regular size might be too big in the hips/waist.

Love this blog! It's so helpful!

    6. Concur with justvisiting that pixies rule. They do hold up FOREVER. My original pairs from 2009 still look new after regularly being machine washed and dried.

      Delete
    7. Pixie lovers, do you recommend sizing down in the Pixie's?

      Delete
    8. I would hands down choose the Minnies. The fabric on the Pixies is great, but I hate what they did with the waistband. It hits me in exactly the wrong spot, my middle is my problem area. Even though the Pixies technically fit me fine, I felt terrible in them. The Minnies are much more flattering on me and just as important they feel good on.

      Delete
    9. Ruth, I love the minnies in bi-stretch wool and twill. I'm petite, but take regular in these for the extra length. The pixies are way too long on me--I'm 5'3.

      Delete
    10. Thanks JCrewJD, cate and AD MD! Hmm. Think I'll need to ponder this further. I'm only 5'1" ish, so pixies may be way too long, then.
I wonder if the Minnies in regular would be a good fit? They seem to be a bit longer than the petites, 26" inside leg as opposed to 24".... But are the regular bigger in the hips and waist?

      Thanks again, JCAs!

    11. I'm a fan of the Pixies! Hands down they are my fave winter pant. I am 5'2" so I order down one size in the petite length. I wash them in the washer but hang them to dry.
I have two pairs of minnies but only have the twill.

      Delete
    12. I love the bi-stretch wool minnies but don't like the twill ones- they don't seem to fit me as well. I'm 5'1 and 110 lbs and ordered the 0 regular for the extra length instead of the petite 2P (I size up when ordering petite size). The regular hits me at the ankle and I tuck the hem under whenever I want them to hit above the ankle.
The regular is just slightly wider bigger in the hips and waist by about 1/4 inch than the equivalent size number in Petite. Hope that helps!

  29. I got the Spearminty jacket: fit is TTS, colors are beautiful (nice match with spearmint no. 2 pencil from this season and also the succulent green from last year), I love the gold buttons. I was a bit surprised that it had a slight "puffy" quality to it - not exactly sure how to describe but it's like the jacket has a bit of loft between the outside fabric and the lining. It is boxy. Like some of the other J. Crew jackets, it has a Chanel-esque look that I really like.

  35. I would like to chime-in on the Miri Midheels. Reply button doesn't work for me. I ordered the Miris and liked them a lot. They are TTS. They are not too narrow as most J.crew heels are and I think the the height is just perfect. They are super comfy. The only draw-back is I think the price is too expensive at this point.

  36. Lucked out with some great deals during the last 30% and 40% sale. My stats are: size 7 in footwear, ~140lb, 5'4" - size 8 in tops/dresses

    Ryder Suede Buckle Boots
Bought the vintage pewter colour. I am super picky with boots because I only buy leather boots with leather lining - synthetic lining is too hot for my feet. Plus all leather boots just last longer. They fit a tiny bit longer than TTS. I have narrow feet and skinny calfs. Love them!! Perfect with leggings and skinny jeans. The shaft stays straight - no slouching. Great purchase at an amazing price. I will look to get these as well in the dark cognac colour.

Harper suede boots / 7 MEDIUM / ESTATE BROWN
These are ok but not awesome, although I do love the outside zipper. Mainly I have an issue with the shaft height. I would have liked the shaft to be an inch to two inches shorter. I would not recommend these for petites shorter than 5'4." Otherwise they have a narrower footbed like the Ryder boots - not for those with wide feet.

Cece leather ballet flats / 7 MEDIUM / BOULEVARD GREEN
Ceces fit me TTS with a little toe cleavage, which I like. These are perfect. Love this versatile colour.

    Vintage V-Neck T-Shirts
Added three more colours to my growing collection. White, sweet mint and ivory/neon peach in size medium because they shrink a bit in the wash. For the ivory/neon peach the ivory is off-white and the neon peach stripe is definitely very neon. MUCH brighter IRL than online.

    Vintage Short-Sleeve Pajama
Size small in minty green and melon spice. Love. Cropped just at the ankle on me. Colours compare well IRL to online pics. They sit lower on the hip...not at the waist. Medium may have worked better for the bottoms. I will have to watch I don't shrink them in the wash. Top is perfect and I am busty. I will be buying more colours.

Allie dress in aqua floral / 8 / MINERAL GREEN
This dress popped back and after reading Gigi's review I snapped it up at a rock bottom price with free shipping too. This dress is perfect for short-waisted gals so I will be looking for more offerings with the same cut. Its going to be fun styling this dress with cardies and belts in the spring.

Website has just been updated with new collection items!

  37. Now that the new arrivals are up online I can point to the new items I tried on in-store last week...(for reference, I'm 5'8", size 10/M on top, 36D, and 12 on bottom)

Crystal Necklace Sweater (86132) - this was the first thing I noticed when I walked in to the store...loved it on the rack. The crystals have a grey/silver undertone (opposed to the brighter ones on the Tilda top). I wanted to love this top so much but I really wish the navy stripe hit across the bust because holy cow did it make my chest look even larger than normal as the size of the stripes are just wide enough to accentuate your chest. Ugh. Not the look I was going for. Sizing up just made the sweater look sloppy. I'm sure a lot of people will look great in this, but it was sadly a no for me.

Eyelet Top 39932 - the eyelet on this top is very thick and attractive in person but the top billows out in a weird way that made me look huge. Sizing down wasn't an option either as the top is more fitted through the sleeves and shoulders. Length wasn't an issue though. Another one I wanted to love. Also, the aubergine color is definitely not as bright as it looks online, it's a darker purple and not as plum as depicted online.

Ponte swing dress 30567 in dark papaya - my store had this dress even though it says online it's an online only dress. Anyway...I liked the fit and flare style of this but the skirt was a little too flared and it was a tad shorter than I would have liked. The material seems more sweatshirt-ish to me than ponte, and compared to the last run of the ponte dress (which I regret not getting) it has a much more casual feel with the exposed seams. I tried on a size 10 in this.

Cafe capri in pinwheel eyelet 65899- took my usual size 12 in these. The material is very thick and the pattern of the eyelet is pretty. I liked these a lot but not for the current price, so I'll wait for them to go on sale. The navy was very dark which made the eyelet not quite as apparent as it looks online. I liked the length of these too, they're definitely a little longer than the wool cafes which I liked.

Tilda rhinestone top in white - 85660. This went home with me. Great basic and the embellished collar is really fabulous. It's a smidge shorter than I would like but it will be really cute with jeans or tucked in with a skirt/pants and blazer. I am hoping I get some good mileage on this for summer.

  38. oh! one more item...
stripe shirttail dress in black/white 22091 - I really, really liked the stripes on these even though there is no way ever I would wear this as a dress. It hit mid-thigh on me (as stated on the website). I took a medium in this and I will probably end up getting it to wear with leggings or skinny jeans. It has a narrower fit than the maritime dress from last year, and the material is probably a little lighter, but still substantial.

  39. Anyone have a review on the new Vintage denim jacket?

OT slightly, but anyone still looking for similar floral button downs shirts, try Old Navy. Bless all of you who mentioned going there on this blog. I took a S in these (I'm a 6 in J.Crew shirts) and these fits better than the some of the past Liberty Print Shirts on me, weird, right? And other side note, I picked up a shirt dress that is similar to the new Stripe shirttail dress (just has a straight hem).

  40. Late to the game, but I have been so in love with the 'iced lilac' color that j.crew has been making so many sweaters in that I decided to use the color as the theme for my first post on my blog. I'm wearing the Classic merino long cardigan in iced lilac HERE.

  41. Anyone ever purchase the St. James Galathee tees? They say online they run slim. I am a size 6 or small in almost all JC tops (except the boatneck tee that runs slim) so wondering if I should go with a medium if I order.
    Any thoughts on this tee?

    1. I have two of these in my regular size. I am a 0 and the xs fits perfectly. They are a smidge shorter than other similar tees (probably too short to tuck in without fussing). I would size up only if you want more length.

  42. Has anyone yet washed a silk tipped boy shirt? Did it shrink much?

I also thought it was funny that half the spring collection skirts are shown paired with the white/black tipped boy shirt. And I thought even funnier is that Factory is trying to convince us that the piped pajama shirt can be used to the same effect in the "outfit obsessions" slideshow

Though later I realized this is a Coco Chanel fashion trick

  43. Has anyone tried the sleeveless shift dress in stretch wool from the suiting section? I see it comes in a tall size. The measurement isn't given but since the regular is 37 3/4", I'm guessing the tall is long enough for me.

  44. Tried the ankle-cuff pumps today (at the Collection store, ex-wedding on Madison and 66th).
The riviera sand color is almost identical to the blush pink color of the Everlies, it is a pink and not a nude-beige, which I would have preferred. My regular size was very uncomfortable, half a size up fit much better without being too long. They seemed OK to walk in if you are used to high heels. The thing is while the black is a bit too aggressive but kind of makes sense, in the riviera sand color I didn't care at all for the ankle cuff. All in all I would prefer a pair of Everlies in that color, that are more timeless and seemed very comfortable (I tried them too while I was at it).

  45. I love the look of the pop art dot tee and the midnight floral tee both a lot, but the back is so see-through and lump/bump hugging, they are definite no-gos for me :( Boo! Wish they came in cotton, or if they had carried the print on to the back with the midnight floral. Also love the peter pan silk color top, but my large chest made the collar look ridiculously small. Crushing on the tresco items a lot, but the full price is a lot to spend for a shirt...

    1. That collar IS small, it didn't look quite righy on me and I usually look great in a peter pan collar

  46. Desert Flower: I assume you are asking about the Emmaleigh dress in Super 120s. It's gorgeous. I got it a few weeks ago in classic black and it's perfectly tailored. I'm a curvy/hourglass shape. I'm also 5'8". I got the normal length and it hits just above my knees, but the waist hits in the right place (I'm a bit high waisted). I might have liked it a bit longer but wouldn't want the waist to be lower. I hope that helps. I love the double back vents.

I also got the standard factory blazer in Navy, it has a beautiful shape is very nicely tailored. Agian, great on my curvy figure. The boy blazer wasn't doing it for me.

I'm waiting for two factory orders now. Hopefully I can review new stuff soon.

  47. Kimberly, I can't seem to reply, sorry. I was asking about the shift dress, item 16427. Thanks for the information on the Emmaleigh though. I've looked at that and wondered about fit. I'm tall and long waisted, so it sounds like the tall would work for me.
