A Love-ly Surprise: Extra 30% Off Everything at J.Crew Factory

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Rosie (in this post), who shared the following email & promotion for J.Crew Factory.

J.Crew Factory is offering 30% off *everything*, all items, with promo code XOFACTORY. This offer expires February 17, 2013. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on purchases made at jcrewfactory.com from February 13, 2013, 12:01am ET through February 17, 2013, 11:59pm ET only. Offer not valid in J.Crew or J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrew.com or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or combined with any other promotion. To redeem, enter code XOFACTORY in the promo box at checkout. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
Positive: It is always nice to see another promo over at J.Crew Factory! Negative: Some of the base prices have gone up. So the savings are not as significant.

Did you check out the Factory site today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

  1. Yay! I had my eye on a few new arrivals at the Factory, so I'm delighted with this promotion!
I placed a big order: navy professor blazer, byzantine blue herringbone blazer, polka dot naomi top, tassel keychain, crewneck shell tops in black and navy, jackie cardigan in stripe. I am thrilled I got the items I had my eye on!
Even though somes prices did go up, the total price of my cart is way cheaper today with the 30% off than it was yesterday, with the same items and no promotion.

  2. Yep, I had some items in my cart--had been waiting for a coupon to snap them up. Got the shift dress that is the knockoff of last year's basketweave shift in the coral color, a spearmint charley sweater, and the anchor print umbrella! Was also pumped that with the promo, my cart came down to $103.50 so I could still get free shipping without frantically searching for a pair of socks or whatever.

It is annoying that the base prices go up, or that the "promo" prices morph from day to day, but yesterday the dress I bought was on "promo" for $84.50, today it was $89.50, but I got it for around $64.00, and the Charley sweater went down to around $28.00. So still a pretty significant savings.

  3. Anyone tried on the factory hearthrob shirt and the frayed tweed jacket? How is the sizing and quality?
    Thank you!

    1. I have it and love it. Some have pointed out that the silk is thinner than the regular JCrew shirts. For me this shirt feels akin to a Blythe, which always strikes me as thin. I happen to love this shirt and will be wearing it a lot this week.

As for sizing, I bought an extra small. I take a 2 in Perfect shirts and a 0 in Boy/Blythes. I hope that's helpful!

It went on promo earlier this year at $78. I thought it would have sold out by now, but I guess it didn't.

This morning I used my rewards card to get the matching skirt (which is not silk), the army jacket, and a white button up shirt. I don't own a single white button up (er, button down) shirt. Hopefully everything will fit . . .

    2. Thank you! I have the shirt with the white hearts from earlier this fall, but I kind of love the red hearts and I was sad that I missed out on it.

  4. Do they have the same promo at the factory B&M? Shipping for me is sooo slow!

    1. I should have read the fine print about factory shipping, especially since it is only $4.95. I did not realize that they ship through local post office via UPS. Already slow shipping now requires me to go to the post office for the package since post office does not deliver packages to our house in our area. Ughhh

    2. The last few Factory orders I have placed were delivered by UPS. There was a message on the UPS tracking site about how they would bypass the local post office, or something to that effect. So, I hope that happens for you too!

    3. Thanks JDCrew no such luck. But my boyfriend picked up the mail early today and saw the notice in the box and has gone to Post Office to get it. But I have 2 other packages due to arrive from Factory.

  6. Hi Ladies, Need some help please. I am looking at the following items. I normally wear a size 4 in perfect shirts, and I'm pear shaped. What size would you advise I get in these:

    42202 Essential button down shirt
    92042 Embroidered lace top
    85555 Chambray boatneck top

    Thanks for your help

    1. savvy shopper, you may want to ask for measurements on the chambray boatneck top. You can do that via the chat reps. Last year's retail version ran EXTREMELY small... I ended up with a 10, when I take a 6 in J.Crew blouses normally. I could not even get the 6 on.

I am hopeful that the factory version does not have the same sizing issue, but you never know.

In the essential button down, I would advise getting a small. I am a 6 in most tops, 8 in perfect shirts, and I need a medium in this.

    2. I found the factory chambray boatneck to run TTS, as opposed to last year's retail version. I'm a 4 in tops and the factory 4 fit fine. I could barely get on the 8 in the retail one. Factory version is also machine washable!

  7. Thanks silver lining. I just couldn't get the retail version to fit, even though I loved it. Will take a stab at the factory version. One last question: Would you say the blouse is cut more straight, more tapered or more loose? I am hippy(the pear shaped kind, not the "cool" kind), and I'm trying to accommodate for that.

  8. I'd say it's more straight than tapered or loose, but my hips are still in a postpartum state of flux (13 months later, does it ever end!) - if you contact CS for measurements they should be able to give you the "hip circumference" measure for the bottom. Good luck! I like the top and am glad that they reincarnated it for Factory - the retail version was too high-maintenance with the fabric, care instructions and the fit issues.

  9. Was thining of purchasing two pair of Factory 5 inch Chino shorts. Does anyone know the quality of these? I have heard the white in the Factory version are quite see-thru. Was thinking of getting the regular khaki and bright dahlia. Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi Nicole- I ordered a yellow pair of 5" chino shorts a few weeks ago. I have a few pairs from previous years, and they are thinner than the retail version. I can see why someone would say the white color is see-thru. They also seem to run just a little smaller- maybe not enough to justify sizing up, but they fit tighter in the waist to me than their retail counterpart.
