Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Did not stop by a store yesterday but bought two cashmere sweaters yesterday (marigold and burgundy) at $69,50 each - not final sale. Intrigued by the reviews saying they are shorter than usual - I'm short so that's good news. Hoping that arms aren't too tight, as I took my regular size (I often size up in J. Crew sweaters because otherwise the arms are too dang tight but then the whole thing looks sloppy and I return).

I also got the Elsa puffer boots for about $48. FS.

  2. My youngest daughter mentioned she hoped she would get a set of pajamas. Last year I got all of us the Stewart plaid and I guess she likes having a set though mostly she wears the bottoms. Last night I noticed a pale blue “peace sign” pajama set and ordered for all of us.

    Item: BD190
    Color: PALE SKY
A reviewer said the pants have pockets, which in theory is great but in reality what am I putting in my pajama pants!

I also ordered a satin rope belt I had previously only seen in ivory,

Tempted to get the leather Nordic boots in black since my nubuck ones after three seasons are showing wear.

    1. I've almost tried those PJs before, they're a great price right now and reviewers said the peace sign is very subtle. Don't understand why people have strong opinions about PJ pockets, lol. I can't imagine what I'd put in mine (a kleenex?) but I've read reviews where people get super angry when PJ pants don't have pockets.
Tempted by the leather pull on boots (BA557), maybe if they go to 60% off. FS shoes are so tricky.

    3. I decided to try them. They're $17 for the set, great price.

    4. Glad you’re all partaking in the pajama party. Yes, I’d prob put my phone in the pockets if they’re big enough.

Julie, those boots do look like great throw on and go boots.

  3. The alpine puffer (BA595) is down to $64 now with promos...this is one I've been curious about since it was a new arrival. I like the green but the colors are so often different IRL. Anyone tried this coat on? Reviewers are saying it's huge and it swallowed them up.

    1. I could be wrong but I think Liz Triden tried it. I’ll check the FB group. Pretty sure she mentioned she did not like the cut.

    2. Went back to the fb group. Liz can’t seem to post here. Her comment about the Alps puffer:
Greetings everyone. I just received the alps puffer and sadly it’s going back. Because there is no shoulder seam to add definition, it made me feel like a Michelin man. Yuck. Also didn’t care for the recycled fabric that made it feel like tissue paper (and sound like it too). Still on the hunt for a puffer! Just donated mine puffer from gap that was probably 15 years old.

Also, I’m having trouble posting on the JCA site and none of my usual tricks are working (cleared cache, went into private mode, etc). Anyone know how to fix it so I can post?

  4. Hope all the JCA's had a wonderful Christmas! I wore Stewart tartan puff sleeve dress, kitten heels with crystal embellishment, along with layered J Crew necklaces; pics on IG.

Retailmenot is 16% Cashback for J Crew.

@Suz Has thanks for the recommendation on pjs; decided to order a pair. I'm a fan of J Crew pjs and I've purchased a couple of other pairs this season and gifted constellation print in ivory to my mom and she really likes them.

Was in store on Christmas Eve and ordered cashmere sleeveless tunic in heather ash; want to try it with the pants for a casual look. Size is not available online, but store was able to search and find it in an Austin store. So, if you're looking for something sold out online, I would check with an SA. Also ordered Parke blazer in camel since I was able to see the blazer in-store.

Received wool tuxedo pants in ivory; this is a really nice part of pants as others have noted. Fit is tts and I really like the flat front. Happy to finally have a pair of ivory wool pants; this was a gap in my closet.

    3. @cate LOL! I'm wearing mine today and love them. Hope they work for you too.

    4. Mygoddy, I have got to get rid of some old ones to make room for the new! J. Crew pajamas are my favorites, all I wear for pjs. I got a pair of Madewell ones this month and they're cute but thicker than I usually wear. Good for Christmas, but probably won't wear them that often (even though they have pants pockets haha).
