  1. Today I noticed
    Fair Isle cardigan
    Item BE043
I really love the vintage vibe, but why acrylic, oh why. Promo price not bad for a special piece but I literally have never not regretted an acrylic sweater after a short period of time.

OTOH the cotton rollneck sweaters are also on promo and because it’s increasingly harder to find nice cotton sweaters I ordered the black and chocolate. Trying XS and S because it’s relaxed.

    1. Suz, Is that BE 149? Hope you added the code which I reposted yesterday in case you aren’t using rewards. Interesting sweater, I lie the pink and of course the cotton fabric but I can’t wear these high neck sweaters unfortunately. They look terrible on me. No Audrey Hepburn neck here🤣

    2. I liked the look of this cardigan too when I first saw it but I also scrolled down to see the fabric content. Not good.

    3. Lynn it’s
      Relaxed rollneck™ sweater
      Item BE159
I do have a long neck and wear so many turtlenecks, I figured the mockneck is a way to show off more of my scarves as they are more visible underneath, and sometimes more comfortable when my skin is sensitive. I used the code and shopped through retail me not.

    4. ST it really is too bad. Maybe when they are all pilled and hanging on the clearance rack I’ll get one…or not.
It’s hard to pass up something with such a pretty design and subtle but not dull colors, but I’ve regretted acrylic even when it was only $15. If someone gets it and says it looks and feels good and hasn’t pilled, maybe I’ll reconsider.

    5. @Suz, Yes that’s the one. I typed in the wrong digit on the end. Lucky you be able o wear these higher neck pieces

  2. Another vent. I got a ten dollar discount postcard in the mail and it doesn’t work. I guess I will need to do a chat. (Says it’s valid with one other promo code.)

  5. I've ordered gifts ahead for the kids, my only complaint is one item from Nov 26th still didn't ship.

My husbands collared cashmere sweater arrived BA090 in Birdseye. I went with his larger size, XL. It's a little wide though the waist area since not a slim fit, but L would have been too narrow in the shoulder. It's a great sweater. Last night I ordered the same sweater in navy with gold stripe for him to wear around the house - with the 60% + 15% + 16% retailmenot it worked out to $29.

  6. I had the retail me not window open earlier and it said the cash back was no longer available. I’ll check again.

  7. @Suz, Blouse arrived folded but badly wrinkled. Size was ok. Fabric so so. The tie is very hard hard to work with. Even @ 40.00 not worth it. These shirts are so overrated. Pfff. This is the Thomas Mason Relaxed fit. Disappointed but I get a shirt well made nice fabric Made In Italy for this price.

    1. Oy. That’s disappointing. Mine didn’t come yet. I hope I can make it work.
      Which size is ok?
I’m so bummed I used rewards. That was stupid.

    2. @Suz, size 4. I would have been swimming in the 6. I needed the 4 for the bust, a 2 would have been better overall. It was very wide and not as nice as the regular JCrew poplin shirt in white which had a much nicer fit for me. You may like this and will most likely be able to make it work for you so don’t give up yet. The sleeve length was fine for me in the 4 and the cuffs were turned up. Hubby didn’t like it and asked what I was hiding underneath it. 🤣

    4. Good. I’m an optimist. Have a feeling it will work.

  8. BA 535 Relaxed Trench Nylon. I purchased his as gift for someone. It’s well made pretty if you’re into muted colors. Wrapped nicely and on a hanger. I tried it on and I liked the fit. I sized down one size for her and it fits me nicely. Wish it came in more colors such as a bright blue,or a brighter pink. I would have purchased. It’s fine without a belt given it doesn’t come with one. Nice fabric.

  9. There was a time when i couldnt stop spending at the crew, especially wotj christmas rollouts. i literally havent bought one thing this season. work wear is non existent. do you guys think aa the pandemic/work from home/athleisure phase wanes we will see a return to tailored, work appropriate clothing??

    1. I never stopped except when I had a knee operation. I hate leisurewear and if I ever wore these types of outfits I wouldn’t want to get out of bed. I’ve been wearing normal classic attire. The crew has changed so drastically I have purchased very few items and most were gifts. I found the muted colors and other items quite depressing.

    2. Exactly 100% what Lynn said! I have never liked athleisure, and way too many of these things look depressing to me--like things one might wear if depressed or ill.

I haven't purchased much either. The jewelry is either new-agey or cheap looking. There is nothing I would want for free in that area.

Besides that, they are calling things over-sized, and there are so many reviews where people are saying to size down two sizes. Makes me wonder if it's simply vanity sizing under a new name. That puts me off the charts since I was already at 0 or 00. I still have a Ralph Lauren skirt from 1988 that is a size 4, and it fits perfectly, so it's not that I'm shrinking.

The selection of shoes has deteriorated so much that I won't even look.

It's all too sad. Hold on to the good things you already have.

    3. View what Pantone decides what the color of 2022 is going to be. Please Google. I hope the crew has already pulled their old archived colors. Hint: They were tops with this color palette and no one did it better.

    4. Periwinkle is one of my favorite colors, but I have to say the Pantone shade (which I know is authoritative!) is much more of a cornflower blue than what I traditionally think when I imagine periwinkle (which I would say is lighter and slightly more towards the purple side). But saturated cool tones are always a win in my book! I am not a fan of salmon and orange-y red and the yellow-toned camels we have been seeing lately.

    5. I agree that it doesn’t look like periwinkle. Periwinkle is usually a light blue with hint of purple (not the flower but the crayon). This is way more saturated. But pretty.

    6. As Suz Has said, I think of the crayon for periwinkle. It is a pretty color, though, and I hope J.Crew embraces some more uplifting shades. No more cat food colors, please.

  10. Long-sleeve pajama dress in swaying ships print
Item BD221. Purchased this to gift to someone. It states organic cotton. I have a problem with this . Although it’s lightweight, the fabric has a rough texture/feel to it. I’m not sure if organic cotton is supposed to feel this way but I’m returning this item as I know the person won’t like it. I assumed it would have had a soft feather weight feel to it. Runs very large. Thought it would have this “Viking Look” to it but it’s also rather juvenile. Don’t recommend.

    1. I buy organic cotton basics from Pact. They aren’t rough, but I wouldn’t describe the fabric as particularly soft, either.

  11. I understand that stress can be an incentive for breakouts. My mouth and gums were all lesions and bumps and I was afraid to go out in public. All that helped was an anti-viral medicine taken orally. I thought it was a one-time deal; however, it has resurfaced unexpectedly and I am so let down. I am looking into Ayurvedic oils like melaleuca and lavender oil for handling the outbreaks of this virus. I am over 30, and not happy. This led me to the search for a permanent cure for the Herpes Virus which has taken a toll on my health, When i came across Herbalist Razor Traditional Herbal Medicine, After seeing some reviews and visiting his website , i placed an order for his Traditional Herbal Medicine , which i applied for 18 days , I am so Glad and delighted to be finally cured of herpes Virus 1. You too can get cured and have a better life, Contact Herbalist razor on His mail : herbalistrazorherbalhome@gmail.com , Call/Whatsapp Him via +2349065420442. God bless You
