J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. No reviews of BD776, the Scalloped tie-neck top in vintage floral?

  2. Has anyone tried the skin x j.crew crossover slippers? After promos they come down to $14 and I'm thinking about buying a few pairs to hold onto as gifts. (They're inaccurately marked as excluded from promo)

  3. anyone tried the leather pull on boots (BA557)?
They are about $50 with current promos, but reviewers said they were stiff and unforgiving.
There sure are tons of great slipper deals in the sale section right now...cashmere, felt clogs, puffer slippers... final sale is really holding me back though I may grab a pair for my 12yo daughter who has 8.5 feet!

  4. I received Relaxed rollneck™ sweater
    Item BE159
Today in the brown and black, XS and S.
Many of us have noted that the black runs smaller. I like this style sweater slouchy and prefer the S In the brown but the black I’d want a size up.
Online the brown appears richer in color on the model with a touch of red in the brown but in real life I find it maybe a little darker than milk chocolate. I like it but prefer the richer brown. (This almost looks a little faded.) of course the price is much higher today but we will see what tomorrow brings. I think these are all going back.

    1. Also, the neck is tight and high as some reviews mentioned. I was afraid it was going to pull my earrings off.

    2. I tried this in blue and brown, in two sizes each. I wanted to like this but it was kind of shapeless in the larger size and the neck was tight in the smaller size. I love the blue color. It's $44 today. I'm tempted to reorder and try it again in the larger size, but I prefer a crewneck so I might wait until spring and see if they come out with that in the blue.

    3. I love a mockneck and preferred the larger size on my frame because of how it draped, but I think I’m waiting. I paid the same price when I ordered but think retail me not had like 16 percent cash back. I don’t need it now and I think the neckline will make it less popular that it could be as a classic cotton sweater.

  5. Fair isle cardigan (BE043). Fit its tts, but I didn't like the look when buttoned. So, returned. Also, fabric was in good condition, but I can see how it's likely to pill over time.
Wore (BD491) to a holiday party this weekend. Fit is tts to slightly large; you can size down if your "girls" will allow for it. Silicone keeps dress on your shoulders and the pockets are a plus. Paired with Zara over the knee boots. Compliments galore.

    1. Thanks for sharing the details on the cardi. Love the print and retro vibe but the fabric concerns me.
