Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Have a (very) few things I am halfway interested in... waiting til next week to see what the promo will be. I wonder if cashmere will be included, the color "dusty mint" is new (?) and looks very nice.
Anyone tried the stretch cable crewneck (BB408)? I'm waiting for a much better price since it's a blend, but one reviewer did say pilling was not an issue (yet).

    1. Tried the tops on.my store didn’t have the sweater. Posted pics and thoughts on FB page. I like both. Not rushing but I could see wearing them.

  3. I am also waiting on a better promo (or any) since I missed the 40% off purchase promo. I only found out this week that what I thought were navy JC cool-weather work pants are all black. Took 25 minutes trapped in my bedroom to figure that out. Now I need a good price on navy Camerons! (and retailers need to add the color of their items to the clothing label so it can remove the guesswork for people like me who are getting old and unable to tell dark colors apart anymore).

  4. BE702 sweater was delivered in record time. Sweater is quite oversized. Sweater is soft and the weight is very heavy. Buttons are extremely lightweight for a $400.00 sweater. Extra one was enclosed. Wow! Shipped in plastic bag, unwrapped. She didn’t like it so it’s going back. Size down if you’re interested otherwise it gives a sloppy appearance not a nice relaxed fit.

    1. I cannot believe a $400 sweater was shipped unwrapped. That is not cool.

    2. Sadly, it's not just J Crew. Nordstrom shipped a $$$ skirt unwrapped and stuffed into a plastic bag. I sent a picture to management and returned the item. Not acceptable. And most recently, I was sent a pair of $$$ loafers that had been tried on too many times and clearly showing signs of wear from excessive try-on. I returned them and re-ordered. Guess what? They shipped me the same defective loafers that I returned (SMH).

  6. Hi JCA- family, I have been trying to decide if I want to size down or size up in the Roxie bootie. I am an 11, which they no longer have in the colors that I want, so I was considering the size 10H or 12. Some reviews mention that they run big and others say TTS. The FS has me on the fence to go up or down. Does anyone have them or did I miss a prior review? Normally I would not go down but am considering. My feet are not slim but I normally take a Med width shoe in all brands. Thanks Fam! Have a great weekend

    1. i find the Roxie TTS. it’s a narrow fit as well, so take that into account when wearing socks with them. I wouldn’t size down.

  7. Hi everyone. I received the tuxedo poplin button down. It’s really pretty but I’m wondering how to style it - both weekend and work. Any styling ideas?

Also, received the cashmere short sleeve tee in snow and disappointed is an understatement. Paper thin cashmere which I should have known for the price tag. Definitely going back.

    1. Which tuxedo button down? I love a Tuxedo shirt and got a white one with the ruffle neck last summer which was not a slim fit, more classic cut so looser through the body. Initially I didn’t like it but I purposely wrinkled it as you sometimes see in store and wore it with baggy distressed jeans and a colorful bandana or long necklace several times. A slim fit I’d probably wear with a high waisted skirt. I have a Thomas mason black and white gingham one I used to tie at the waist and wear with the faux leather pleated mini or another a line mini skirt and lace up sandals—could be done with a midi skirt too.

    2. I got the relaxed fit version but sized down a couple of sizes to make it fit more tailored. I like the idea of it tied at the waist with a midi skirt :)

    3. A blazer with tailored pants, long necklace, a silk scarf tied, any kind of jeans you like, this is an easy shirt to work with and I’m sure you have plenty of items you can play with. I have a black sequin skirt and wear mine tucked and a long necklace if I want to dress it up. I would keep the skirt a straight one like a pencil skirt just below the knee.

  8. Is cashmere usually part of Black Friday or cyber Monday promos? I’ve got some rewards to use and would love to get a new sweater with a promo for a double whammmy :)

    1. @Liz, probably, most likely items that haven’t sold and where they have an abundance of inventory. Those featherweights for example and colors that haven’t sold well. Who really knows though, you have a store near you so ask beforehand. They already know what’s going on sale during this time a week in advance. Warning, don’t even bother with the cashmere v neck item BD151. It’s a piece of cxxp. It’s not even worth $20.00 and I’m being generous

  9. Thank you Lynn for both replies :). Lovely outfit idea!
