Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Vent, BESTFRIDAY isn’t for anything at the moment but try this for 15% off. JPL8C71 it worked for me a short time ago on an order. Call CS and then get your 60% or 40% added. Hot mess again😡

    1. Seems like both are working now. I used bestfriday first and then applied the JP code on the place order page.

  2. I’ll be avoiding the mall today but may visit over the weekend. I did visit on Wednesday and saw a few new items including a ruffle collar sheer top that I’m guessing will be part of the rollout on Monday. Looked like a super festive top. Oh, and it came in both black and a nude color.

I was in store for a big return including the tuxedo top. I decided it was just a little too sheer for me. I also returned the winter floral top (too short) and exchanged the navy top coat for the ivory. My SA looked at my receipt and asked how I got the price I did (magic hour!). I think I’ll get a lot more wear out of the ivory and can treat it like a special occasion coat at times too.

I just purchased my girls’ holiday outfits. One of the Liberty dresses has the same name as one of my girls so I had to have it for her :)

Yesterday I wore the feather cuff top with distressed jeans and my Tory Burch jeweled flats and felt comfortable but festive for our gathering. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Very grateful for this little community!

  3. No and I'm disappointed with the Black Friday sale. Sale item switched to full price, the usual games. Guess I will monitor for the start of new sales and await a price drop on the items I want.

  5. I ordered two pairs of JCrew pants for my 19 year old.
From Everlane, sweats and a cardi for myself, a turtleneck and boots for my 19 year old
Two pairs of shoes from Marc Fisher for my 23 year old.

The coat I was considering from JCrew sold out early this morning.

    1. The Dalton topcoat in Glen plaid. It popped back and I grabbed it this morning. I saw the blazer (Sommerset) in store and really liked the colors but didn’t like the cut on that. I ordered this in a 6 as the shoulders tend to work better for me to wear with sweaters, and hopefully the body won’t feel too wide. We shall see if it ships.

    3. @Suz Has: I am returning that coat to the Richmond, VA store in a 0. The bottom half sort of flares out on me, which I guess would fit if I had some significant curves, but I don't.

I'm also returning BA522, which is the black double breasted topcoat in double serge wool. It's quite nice and 100% wool, but I have the same issue with the bottom half flaring out as if it's sort of a full skirt. The quality is great on this, but I sure didn't need another black coat anyway.

I think this one was sold out in many sizes as well, but we all know that can change within hours. I'll be returning both the size 0 and 2 this coming Tuesday in case anyone wants to try them in those sizes. I would say they run true to size since the 0 fits the top half of my body. The 2 is too large on me overall. I'm 5'3", 34B, somewhere between 96-100 lbs.

    4. MmeJacqueline, the pics are so bad it’s hard to tell the exact shape. I’m hoping it fits similar to one of my other top coats which fit in the shoulders but are a little wider through the torso and on the hips—I don’t like them with skinny or straight bottoms but with my wider leg jeans they are much better.

  6. Will go to mall tomorrow to pick up an order. Ordered cabana bikini for less than $14 for top and bottom. Planning to wear on vacation next year. I also have the one piece (fit tts) and I really the ribbon ties and fit; flattering cut and coverage for the bottom. Wanted another option for Aqua Zumba and it will work well.

Item BD994 Has anyone purchased this? If so, how is the fit please and does anyone here like it? I would like to gift this to someone. Thanks

    1. Hi Lynn. I bought that top Tuesday at the store with the extra 60% off. I thought the colors were really pretty especially compared to the sea of bland at Jcrew this year. The fabric is a crepe type poly with little ridges (if that makes any sense) rather than satin. It comes with a removable cami but isn’t too sheer to wear without. Size wise I took a small (I am usually s/m 4-8 depending on the cut) and it is blousy so I would not size up. Sleeves are a little long on me but that is normal with my T-Rex arms. Length from shoulder to hem is shorter than a button up shirt but long enough to wear out or tucked in. It is not old school Jcrew quality (nothing is these days) but for the price I thought it was nice. Polyester gets a bad rap but some days it’s nice to have a blouse ready to go without having to iron.

    2. @ShoppingCelle, Thank you so very much for the details! Agree about the poly. Even Ratti had some tops that were poly. I have them and I spilled a glass of red wine on one and washed it right away and it was a good as new. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you again.

  8. Was looking at item BD622 this AM cashmere sweater in "neon thisle (sic) peach", it's in the 60% off section but wary of it being called both "relaxed" and "fitted" (???), and though I love the color on the website, IME J crew "neon" colors are often really garish in real life.

  9. @julie, it’s relaxed. The original more fitted sweater is K1313. Hope this helps

  10. I noticed a few new things on the website this morning.

Do you think the same promo will roll into this week? I feel like there's so much stock they need to get rid of.
