Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Looking for the Collection feather trim shirt. Popped into my store yesterday. Some holiday offerings, but mostly stocked on coats. Not too many festive items yet.

    1. That's too bad. I was thinking about going this weekend but may wait until next week when it's less crowded. I was hoping to see some holiday there.

    3. @Suz, how would you style it? Thanks

    4. @Suz Has thank you! I will check out Short Hills. GSP had minimal offerings. Disappointed in their store lately. It used to be a concept store. Unsure what happened.

    5. @lynn not sure, to be honest, but probably peeking out of a blazer or sweater, could be cool under a vest.

    6. @Suz, thank you Suz. What did you think of the quality? This would be a gift. Worth it?

    7. Lynn, personally I wouldn’t spend $200 on it, though the quality looked nicer than the usual white or light blue button down.

  2. I visited my store.
Saw wool cashmere turtleneck in a nice burgundy color that I preferred over the brighter red. Wool and recycled cashmere relaxed turtleneck

But seeing it online not sure the cut would be great.

They had the feather cuff shirt in the pale blue. The cotton is a nice thick almost sateen looking cotton I felt the feathers and they were soft. It was on a mannequin so I couldn’t tell the cut.

I thought that the ivory plaid that looks a bit less holiday was pretty. I only noticed the coat from a distance.

Some of this years velour sweats were in the sale section. I tried on the burnished barn set and the frosty olive pants, they didn’t have the olive sweatshirt. The cut if the pants is weird as the bottom part of the leg is very bulbous. If they had the olive sweatshirt in store I might have just gotten it to wear around the house but I put it down. The XXS looked weird because the bottom of the pants stuck out, the Xs Fit but my long torso preferred the Small due to the extra length, but I wouldn’t call it flattering. I sent the pics to a friend who said they looked like Santa pants and I realized that is totally true and decided even for loungewear I don’t need to wear Santa pants.

  3. The cashmere wrap is 50% off today. I used rewards so I hope I like it!

  4. @Lisa, I think you will. I purchased 3 in the striped ones this year and really like them, and also the solid gray. Enjoy.

  6. I picked up the Willa velvet blazer in clay this morning. I ordered a size up originally (I have bad shoulders and more room tends to help me get into a blazer) but it’s a little too loose. Hoping my normal size will be a good fit, otherwise I’ll have the size up tailored through the waist. Absolutely stunning blazer! I plan to wear mine with a striped button down and snake loafers as well as with a sequin skirt and turtleneck.

The feather cuff sleeve shirt is on its way to me and should arrive on Thursday. I’ll report back!

  7. Any preferences on winter coats? Need to buy a few for gifts. Willa, Cocoon, Cashmere/Wool. Daphne is a no. Thanks everyone.

  8. Oh there was a discussion the other day about Veronica Beard blazers. I’ve coveted one for a long time too but with my shoulders I worried it would be a waste of money. I picked up the Banana Republic double breasted blazer this fall in a few colors and it’s a winner! I’ve worn mine so many times (and the black has gold buttons, which I prefer). Currently 40% off this weekend (runs small). I still want a Veronica Beard blazer one day but this definitely satisfied the craving and since I wear mine so much, I know an investment in VB won’t be a waste of money.

    1. @Liz, I think your BR blazer is beautiful. I just remembered that I tried on a Veronica Beard Miller Blazer @Norstrom a few years ago. I didn’t know who or what Vernice Beard was. I liked it, the fabric, fit, etc. but when I saw where it was manufactured I decided not to purchase. Thought it was overpriced as many items are made in China. If it was made in the U.S.I would have purchased immediately that’s how much I liked it. I stopped buying things made in China for myself especially when the markup is so high. Just my humble opinion. Enjoy that beautiful BR blazer

  10. Curious about Item BA768, does anybody own these boots? The reviews are all over the place. If anyone happens to own a size 8 or 8.5 and can share sole length, width at the ball of the foot, and calf measurements, I would be so appreciative! CS is no help sadly. TIA!

  11. Head's up, the Silk-velvet mules (Item BD457)run large. I wear a size 8 and ordered the 7.5 and the 8 and returned them both, too big.

  12. What would you wear to a restaurant for an extended family dinner?

    1. So weird. I had other details and it won’t post.

My plan is to wear lady jacket in Italian lurex tweed from last winter with ivory silk with black tie neck top and nice flare jeans (not distressed) with festive heels.

    2. Comparable to a look I wore ten years ago for the same type of extended family dinner—back then it was skinny jeans, knee high boots and a velvet blazer, tuxedo button down and statement necklace.

    3. It’s thanksgiving weekend so if it’s cold I will wear a dressy coat on top.

I tried wide leg wool pants and a blazer which feels like too much, a skirt and cashmere turtleneck which feels too officey and a sweater with pants feels more casual. I think the nice jeans balance with the blazer.

Aside from a few smaller occasions this is the first family get together and I admit it’s weird to get dressed after almost two years.

Recently we have gone out to dinner and whether I am wearing black pants or nice jeans I feel I am among the most dressed up.

    4. My original post had more details re location etc but This blog is driving me crazy.

    5. Oh—I wanted to add I do not want to buy something new and I’ve really pared down my wardrobe. I am not a dress person and any of the black pants I’ve tried end up feeling too casual or too much like work pants.

I like the little bit of metallic in the blazer too. It makes it feel more festive and less business.

    6. Suz, I think that outfit sounds lovely and perfect for the occasion!

    7. Thank you. Most of my blazers are plain, this one feels more festive without being too much. I’m keeping my eyes out for others. Btw I love that banana blazer.

    8. Thank you all! I wasn’t a hundred percent sure about the jeans but I’d rather wear great fitting jeans that make me feel like a supermodel than black pants that are eh.

  13. Love that outfit Suz, you will look fabulous! As for the jacket, I have this one and have worn it dressed up and casual. It’s nice to be able to put something nice on and you know for a fact you’ll be the only one and a standout as well. 🤣
