Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. 60 off but lots of pricing games! Some lots higher! I did place few orders with 50 off. But will likely reorder as my items were not final sale!
I have not done returns for a while so I guess it’s time!!! Lol

  2. Anyone bite this morning? I grabbed the aqua cashmere sweater for $26.99, I had been waiting on that one. Will be a pretty color to wear over liberty button downs, even in spring. Also ordered a white ls perfect tee since I am getting a lot of wear out of my white perfect tee neck this winter. Hope fit is the same and I can wear it under my patagonias. Finally ordered the jacquard pants SuzHas loves so much during the 50% off and they will be delivered today.

    1. @Cheritheberry, I'm fighting the urge to get those pants, one left in my size 4. Glad you found cashmere you like! I wear perfect t's - short sleeve, long sleeve and tneck all the time! The white one will be great with those pants.

@Kate, yes the 'Recently Increased' trending is active for sure!

    2. Hopefully someone will buy them and then I don't have to worry! The 28" inseam is a little awkward for me - too short for full length and too long to be cropped. I'd rather have 30" or 27".

    3. I was just saying I wish they were slightly longer or shorter myself. But they’re so comfy I make do. I think in warmer weather the length will work with flat sandals.

    4. They have arrived, and they are short, but doable. Like Suz said, I was not intending to wear them in the winter and they will be good come spring. I'm glad to have them, the options are endless from tank to tank, crisp button down to chambray, fine gauge sweater or chunky...

    5. What a great deal @Cherithrberry. Which aqua cashmere sweater did you get?

    6. Hi there, it was just the regular crewneck. I actually had my eye on that color because I am always cold in the office and thought it would be nice for spring, so very pleased.

  3. I bit this morning and went back to look again. Seems like more has been added.
I bought the vintage cotton joggers, peace embroidered tee, black essential tee shirt, and the relaxed fit cashmere sweater in black.

I stopped myself from buying the tall chateau parka in black which was a steal. Even at $53 I don’t think the shape is great for me and I’m still holding out on the sparkle ladycoat, which I think would be $66. I’m being cheap!

Now I have vintage cotton tees and the Garment-dyed Foundry pant Item AP392 size 2 in my cart. It’s hard to say if they will be loose like I want or more fitted based on reviews, probably loose. It looks like the material is a little more broken in than the ones from a few years ago which I sold. But the price is fair and if I don’t love them I know my girls would.

I also stopped myself from buying several button downs with ruffles or statement sleeves. They were still around $20 and more of a risk than I really need right now.

    3. Ooof I have bad timing. I got the peace tee during the 50% off sale, and now it's $3 cheaper with plenty of sizes. I hate when that happens.

    4. Same, and it happened to me with the Devon snake bag last week too, but win some, lose some.

I waited on the tee because I’m so hard on them but now I’ll put some of my old ones in the rag bag.

And for stylishly lounging around the house this afternoon I put on the jacquard pants (almost wore the 0 but opted for the looser ones as usual) with the big apple tee, Alex mill black sweater blazer and black suede buckle slides. Not Venturing out and just dreaming of spring. I don’t normally pair tees with pants like this but I like it, and what’s more comfy than a cotton tee?

Im glad the coats I was eyeing sold out but I did get the pants.

    5. Aren't tees softest right before the ragbag?

      Delete
    6. Yes which is why I’ve been wearing some ratty ones to bed but they are in bad shape...

  5. The short-sleeved t-shirt dress in the multi stripe just arrived and is a surprise love. The picture on the website makes the dress look a little baggy, but it's nicely fitted in my usual size of XS and the slightly odd color combination gives it a little edge. I won't need a belt--in fact a belt spoils it. It will fill a good niche in my summer wardrobe. I call it the-casual-but I-made-an-effort look. Perfect for a Friday night dinner out in the hot and humid South.

  9. I ordered a few things since I'm starting a new job this summer. Don't really need anything, but I'm going to be in the office again, so decided to pick up a few things that were a steal. Ordered butterfly jacquard sheath dress; for $25, I think it will be a nice summer option. Ordered butterfly statement necklace and used my $10 half-birthday gift, so for less than $10, it was a no brainer. Looks like the JCAs found some good deals. Hope everything works!

  10. Last night I mentioned the sale to my mom who noticed a pair of le specs sunglasses in the sale section. She had just complimented my cousin on a pair that cost $80, so for under $20 I treated us both to a pair.

Not surprisingly 60 percent is gone today, except for some shirts and dresses.
Ruffle-sleeve top with embroidered eyelet Style AR971 was one I contemplated yesterday but today for the price of a tee shirt I gave it a shot. It could be cute or the eyelet down the sleeve could be horrible, in which case I’ll chop the sleeves off, leave the raw edge and pretend it’s a designer piece that was supposed to look that way.

    1. heh, I bought a ruffle trimmed eyelet popover shirt last Spring (AJ417), it was great but too much ruffle for me -- a ruffle at the collar, along the button placket, and again out at the shirt bib. I took my sharp sewing scissors and trimmed the ruffle along the shirt bib...it looked a little "raw" but much less fussy and I like it.

Suz I tried the newest (current) foundry pant model when they first came out in January...the legs were waaaay too wide for me and looked comical - nothing like on the model, might have been better going down a size but then I was worried the hips would be too tight.

    2. Julie your scissor work sounds perfectly chic!

I like a wide leg and have bought and sold so many pairs of foundry or similar pants. I loved the camo ones which I bought way oversized and wore to death so much that I had to get rid of them. The solid olive ones though, I didn’t love as much. They were much stiffer. I’m hoping these work well enough even if they become my summer junk pants, for gardening or just being outside in the yard when I don’t want to wear shorts. Like I need a special pair of pants for that. 😆

Btw did anyone else notice the slouchy boyfriend chinos with paint splatter? It’s really more like a paint wipe.

  11. I placed a few orders this week - the first time in a while. I saw the puff sleeve shirt in stripe on someone I follow on IG and purchased with the 50% + 20% as well as the balloon sleeve pointelle sweater in navy. I also picked up the leopard slip skirt and striped terry turtlenck and the pleated mockneck blouse in black.

Yesterday with the 60% off I purchased the black Gemma flats and the ivory fisherman sweater.

    1. Which puff sleeve stripe, the slim fit one? Slim-fit puff-sleeve shirt in stripe
      Item AW706
I had the red and white in my cart yesterday but didn’t pull the trigger. Seems to be gone now. Who was wearing it, I’d love to see if that’s it.

    2. I remember wearing sleeves that ballooned at the bottom when I was a kid in the late 1970's. I loved every one of those tops! I am still a fan of the look, but have to be careful the fullness doesn't start at the shoulder. My shoulders are wide and square and don't need the bulk. But wide sleeves at the bottom balance out the wide shoulders. Glad to see this look!

I got seduced into buying the double serge pocket mini in citron in tall. No need whatsoever for this skirt, but I fell for the color. I do dress up to work at home, though that's no excuse. I want to wear it with my black silk blouse and sheer black stockings and black and ivory polka dot court shoes. Or a black and white Breton and sneakers.

    3. We must be about the same age PBANOS. I have a thing for a puffed sleeve too which is why I was also considering
Mariner cloth puff-sleeve top in stripe
      Item AW129
      Size: SMALL
But I know that could be really good or horrible and I feel like I prob tried a variation of this over the past few years. Today it’s higher in price sooo...

    4. @ Suz Has, I had that top in my cart, but decided the sleeves looked short. That might just be the model shot. I wish there was a published sleeve length.

I can remember some of my 80's pants I'd wear again now, plus my favorite boiler suit. Did you ever see a store called Country Roads? It was Aussie based, and sold well made neutral palette 'dressy casual' clothes. I loved those clothes, and the men's line was good too. The last piece I had was a long sweater blazer that made it though 20 years. I thought their style was a little ahead of the time.

    5. @Suz that's the button down I ordered in the banker blue. @tanyapc_ was wearing it earlier this week. I guessed on size - reviews said it ran large so I tried an 8. I'll report back!

  12. I was able to catch the flash promo last night before the change over and was given the option to chose the codes that I wanted to use. I grabbed a few basic Ts (you might remember my perfect white Tshirt rant??!) There wasn't much more that I needed although I looked at the Le Specs also. Cute!!

    1. I ordered white tees too (three!) thinking about that convo. We shall see how they are but for the price I am not too concerned.

    2. I used to really like the white perfect Tees (with the longer arm) because they were good for work, under cardis and looked good with jeans but the one I bought last year was more sheer than before. I hope you both have good luck! It’s def hard to find good ones.

    3. Jan, I think they are very thin as are the madewell whisper tees. I did size up because if I remember they’re a slim cut and I prefer them a little looser.
