Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. During witching hour I picked up regent blazer in 4’season stretch in grey, for about $70. There were lots of great deals such as icon Trench and penny loafers which were in my cart and eligible for 30% off. But I am trying to economize! Prices back up this morning! I hope for it to be a classic.. does anyone own this blazer? Any reviews?

    1. I was tempted by the regent in wool at the same price. I stopped myself because i have too many black blazers already and that’s the only color i wanted. It’s a different style but I like it.

    2. Thanks! I have the navy one in wool and like it a lot . Hope this one works! I need a gray blazer.

    3. I bought the grey one the other day - it's due to arrive tomorrow, will report back. I think I tried the black in store and liked that it had a slightly more casual feel. I have several wool regents and they are one of my favorite silhouettes.

  2. I see that my L/S denim jumpsuit finally made its debut. Looks differently than I imagined. Have a great weekend!

    1. Looks like they took the top of the coat SuzHas bought, chopped off the bottom, and added pants.

    2. Sadly, I was not impressed. Good promo for anyone shopping, just not me at the moment.

    3. Not very flattering on the model, that’s for sure. Reminds me of a toddler outfit.

    4. Suz Has - I agree with you on the jumpsuit...definitely not a good look. There are actually quite a lot of items lately that don't even look good on the models, and the styling is pretty bad, too. Who is the J.Crew stylist these days?

    5. Totally. I miss Jenna’s over the top creativity. It made me think of wearing things in different ways.

    6. Suz Has - I agree. I shared images from the Sept. 2009 catalog on my blog a couple weeks ago, and the styling in it is some of my favorite. Many of the looks from back then are still relevant today, and so much more appealing than what they've got going on now.

    7. Even if it was out of my own closet instead of buying new it still left an impression on me way more than the current lack of styling. But I guess it’s not just Crew. Alex Mill clothes look terrible on the models, and I typically find the same of Everlane.
I guess this is what Pinterest is for. I have tons of looks pinned and refer to it on occasion when I need inspiration.

  3. Still no promo for Canada, there hasn’t been any promo all week. Very upsetting to be left out

    4. Like many others I'm tired of Canadians being second class citizens with JCrew and it's promos. Thankfully BR/Gap gave us the same deals as our American friends. Guess where my money went?

  4. I ordered an icon trench in black and the cap toe red boots at attractive prices, and they are returnable.

  5. I couldn't really find anything new to buy with the promo. I saw the Marysia one-piece popped back so I ordered that to try. I rarely pay that much for a bathing suit since I seem to be outgrowing mine so fast, and I really like the deep v-neck one piece I picked up for $44 recently, but still worth a try since I'd never find that in a store. Anyone familiar with Marysia and sizes?

  6. I just ordered the BLACK Icon trench. The code BDAY worked for additional 30% off. So it was about $87.

I also had an email yesterday, after I failed to complete a purchase, offering 10% off. This code worked, too, so it was about $78.

fwiw, I noticed that each time I clicked through that email yesterday, a different code would pop up! I gave them to my sisters--they haven't tried yet to see if it works. :)

  7. Visited store this afternoon. Store promo is the same as online - 30% off and double points. If you spend $100, you get a free camo print tote.

  8. i broke my shop free streak and ordered the cherry red shirt dress...as other posters have said, its really long (even for me, and at 5'7" ive felt like a giant at the crew lately) but i really like it. substantial fabric, great color, get lots of compliments. the button holes are tight but not a deal breaker as some reviews have said.

  9. I am getting screwed over again by this latest promo. Ordered a romper on Wednesday, arrived yesterday...I am requesting a price adjustment but know I won't get it. Way to alienate customers, J.Crew! Are people looking at the site every day and basically gambling on price these days? It's crazy.

  10. I know that I need new glasses but I am certain that I am not crazy so I am just going to ask...the Icon trench was on sale in BOTH colors @$125, when the current promo started, right? And I was certain that the khaki color was low in sizes b/c I was checking for my size. Now it is a full run on sizes at regular price. When did this happen???

    1. Nope, that was the prior promo. But the black one kept it's price and became eligible for the xtra 30% on Friday.

    2. I guess I wasn't paying as close attention as I thought after my jumpsuit was so disappointing. Hope the black trench works for all that got it. It is too cute!!!
