  1. Just looked through new arrivals.
I don’t really find it cohesive but that doesn’t necessarily bother me.
Personally, I don’t need a thing but what I’d buy:
Crinkle chiffon smocked top. It comes In three solids and polka dots.
Wide leg crop 365 crepe pants. If these are like many of the other pants of late the fit won’t work, but I love the flat front, the belt loops and pockets and the on trend wide cuff. I live in my Everlane wide leg crops but they’re more casual.
Shockingly I didn’t see shoes or boots That are must haves except the nylon tretorns are fun.

What I don’t like: the denim doesn’t even look good on the models, I won’t even bother trying.

    1. Agree about the denim. Which is a good thing for me, as I have too many jeans now. I also like the polka dot chiffon top.

  2. I am loving what looks to be a long sleeve denim jumpsuit that the model is wearing with the wool polka dot scarf. I don't see the jumpsuit as a new arrival so I will definitely keep my eye out for it. The pointed toe heels in jacq. silk are also cute but I don't like that the soles are man made and they are imported, probably not from Italy. UGH!

    1. As I have gotten older, shoes that do not have a leather sole are no thank you in my eyes. At the risk of sounding snobby, they just come across as cheap to me. As some of my shoes become too worn to keep, I am weeding out the non leather soles. Would rather have better and less. Anyone agree?

    2. Well I like shoes with a leather sole, but in wet weather I prefer a rubber sole. Leather uppers and leather liners are non-negotiable.

    3. I actually go out of the way to make sure I have some rubber soled shoes for wet weather. I wear a lot of Repettos which get wrecked in the rain, but luckily Repetto started making rubber soles so I wear those exclusively when it’s wet out. No cheapness here - they were just as expensive as the leather soles!

  3. The last of my sale order arrived. The wrap dress in striped poplin is a nice summer dress. It does require a cami - I actually tried it on with a white sports bra with a plain front and that worked well without having to add an extra layer. The buttoned flap inside the skirt wrap is good, so there's no thigh show when seated or on a windy day.

Also received the Tall Point Sur wide-leg crop jean in white. I have these in blue denim and decided to add the white. They did run $30 and have a full size run. So maybe the price will drop again, but then I wouldn't get to wear them soon (likely tomorrow for casual Friday). They fit pretty much the same as the blue denim, so I knew to go with my larger size 27. The shape works well for my smaller waist/hips and large muscular legs. And they are not see through. I plan to wear them with last summer's chambray utility pocket shirt. I'll take along the yellow denim jacket from the sale to wear if the office is too cold.

  4. I got the espadrille sneakers and they’re going back. Fit is awkward on me and they’re dirty already. I hope the CAPTOE ones work and I think they will be more flattering on. In lieu of these I’d rather have a sneaker or a real oxford

    1. You can't fully wash espadrilles, so dirt is an issue.

    2. Yup, but they look like someone spilled coffee on them before i took them out of the box.

    3. I really enjoy your capped captoe.
Sorry they didn’t work out but hopefully the captors do!!

  5. received the pointy toe woven flats with ankle strap today. they are white with red and navy contrast. also reviews were correct, they are running half size big. i went down half size and the fit is perfect - length is just right, and i didn’t even have to undo the straps to put them on. they are super comfy. only issue is the white highlights the widest part of the foot so my feet look like flat boats even in size 5.5. i don’t care though I love them!

    1. THank you for updating! I can’t believe this was so hard to figure out, 😂. Glad the red and navy works for you.

    2. I know!! When I saw the box I opened it immediately bc I was dying to know what the colors are. I did stare at the navy for awhile just to make sure it's blue and not black. Eeeeesh. The red is definitely red - a brick red.

  6. Loeffler Randall Starla sandals. Fit is tts for European sizing and they’re a really good fit. Very comfortable and will work well on vacation. Metallic leather is soft and I love the star accents on the ankle wrap.

  7. LOVE Loeffler Randall brand in general! I have to go up half size but know that I know that it's all good!
