Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

    4. I really need nothing but of course I found a few things I like. The mockneck with eyelet tops, in short and long sleeve, very pretty. Lots of shoes.
The long cotton poplin dress in navy with red belt, also comes in a stripe. This is a great silhouette for me (if it was long enough) and id consider it for a wedding we are attending in Aug even though I already decided on pants and a sleeveless blouse.
I’m not rushing to buy but I will keep my eye on a few things.

    5. Wow they went straight for fall and that is premature I think. Unfortunately
there is nothing cute for summer. Not liking the repeats of the same three silhouettes over and over, and the leopard print seems overused.

    6. Thanks Suz for the link. I can’t seem to get back on the email list (and have no idea how I got off) and my early access link in an email from January 18 doesn’t work anymore.

    7. Liz, same. I finally got back on and was already booted off. How does this happen? Horrible system on their part.
Thanks for posting Suz, off to look!

    8. Once again, if JC goes in on a style or print, it goes ALL IN.
I don't mind that much because I love leopard. Not in an all-leopard "The Nanny" sort of way, but like Jenna, I believe it's a neutral. That said, I buy ONE leopard piece for the season and that's it, so I can only guess they want to make sure everyone can get some leopard in any style they want.

      That said, my thoughts:
Tippi sweater with leopard french cuff: I don't understand a sweater with cuffs but no collar?
Tiered popover dress in Ratti® grandi fiori print: the first model photo (of her hands on hips) is really unfortunate for that dress. Makes it look like the dress doesn't fit her on top. The dress itself looks sweet - fabric covered buttons!
Pleated maxi dress in geometric print: the pink version has really unfortunate placement of the darker red color
Smocked skirt in rainbow stripe: There's a reason why smocking is not used a lot - it stretches and highlights bumps! Why would they put smocking on the thigh/hips area? I'd love to see them put this on different sized models because I think very few people will look like the model photo.
Tie-waist short sleeve shirtdress in tiger floral: love the print, hate the silhouette. Kind of over the 1950s housewife shirtdress look.

    9. It was fun to browse the new rollout, as I actually got a link to it (which never happens), but not much that made it to my wishlist. I don't wear leopard or animal prints, or camo, and the other prints are obnoxious. The only like was a geometric stripe maxi dress and a pair of houndstooth mules, neither of which I need.
Still fun to look at some fall clothes, and in some ways happy I won't be spending much or coveting much in this roll out.

    10. I'm not surprised I don't like anything. This isn't really a true fall rollout. Late summer rollout usually isn't very exciting. That said, it wasn't very cohesive. Some summer, some fall. Lots of leopard, which I don't care for and won't buy. I like ruffles and eyelet, but they can't seem to get them right lately. Some fun prints, but on pieces I don't wear. Everything is too big on me, proportion-wise. Stuff fits me, but it looks silly because the features are too oversized or overdone. Maybe the full rollout will have more I like.

    11. I deleted my link because it pulled up my account. Oops.

    12. I found a few items wishlisted on my account that I didn’t choose, so if you wishlisted the gold/caramel short sleeve mockneck eyelet top in medium, add it to your account. Not even sure how that happened since I couldn’t add to wish list without logging in but I changed my password in case. Oy vey.

    13. The quality has gotten so terrible I am afraid to order anything online as everything goes back and then I have to deal with the J Crew Credit Card people because the statements are a train wreck.

I shopped a lot at Net-a-Porter and Modi Operandi at 60-70 percent off. Thinking that is the best option to find quality clothes that will last.

  2. @Panda ITA though I love leopard I’m getting slightly bored with yet another leopard iteration

  3. I am kind of impressed with this roll out...I am liking the skirts..but not the jewellery or shoes.

    1. I haven’t been wearing skirts lately but I think the pull on slip skirt is smart. Slip dresses do nothing for me. I’m more of a mini skirt person but think a bias cut slip skirt with a silk top could prob work for many occasions,

    2. The cowboy boots surprised me. I thought that trend was over. Maybe I’ll dust off my Frye Billy Short boots and wear them this fall.

    3. They look too wide and short. The Frye billy are much more flattering. I was surprised seeing those too.

    4. very surprised to see those. Agree with Suz, the shape is off.

    5. I may like the tortise heel slingbacks and the wool slingbacks with the leather toe.

I feel sorry for the model in this shot since her shoes are about 3 sizes too small. That's why she looks so unhappy I guess...

  4. I visited today with my 23 yo. Sale was only 30 off and nothing of interest when it’s online for 50 off. Did my returns and left. We saw the mockneck shortsleeve with eyelet on a mannequin and she gave it a hard no.
Madewell was 40 off sale in store as well and she found a tank and we ordered a pair of the pull on shorts that weren’t available in store. I will have to tell her to wash these carefully.
    Nothing else of interest.

  5. I went by Brookfield today and saw the leopard foulard button down in violet. That was in my wishlist and today came off. I thought it was pale pink; it’s like light purple. The fabric has a sheen to it - not like a silk sheen, more like a 70s sheen. It looks very Gucci just not as vibrant in person. Doesn’t look bad but not my style - I was hoping for something whimsical but subtle like the ivy shale print.

  6. I'm not feeling the new arrivals. Agree about the leopard..hopefully it'll only be on this roll-out. Same goes for camo. And no to cowboy boots. Not revisiting Bev. Hills 90210/Guess Jeans look from the 90's.

  7. I actually quite like the new version of the leopard this time around. The color combos are cute, and the pink in the Crewneck sweater in leopard is brighter against the green IRL, making it look much better than the online photo. (Ina has a pic on her Instagram.) Like others have mentioned, I was a bit surprised to see the cowboy boots, and while I do like cowboy boots, I would not purchase a pair from J.Crew. As for the fall items, I don't mind seeing them this time around, since we only have another month or so before our temps cool down here in Montana, so I am not doing much shopping for summer at this point. I did share my picks from the new rollout if anyone is interested in stopping by to take a peek! All Things Simplified.
