J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. I received the Liberty trumpet skirt in favorite flowers, in my usual JC bottoms size and also one size up per reviews. I actually found it to be TTS though it does have a high waist and going with a size up wouldn’t make a huge difference. However I discovered this silhouette is horrible on me. I’m far too short for it and it makes me look abnormally long torsoed, and the trumpet silhouette accentuated my tummy in the front and my butt in the back so I looked like a backwards S. Can’t return fast enough.

    1. I receive this skirt yesterday and had the same concern as I am short. I actually love it. It is a different silhouette then all my pencil skirts. I ordered a petite and it still sits at the bottom of my knee caps but I don't think it looks frumpy. I was worried as I only do flats now but it looked fine. Also I got when it was $24.50 and I had $10 in rewards sitting around so for $14.50 I am fine. I love the colors! Sorry this one didn't work out for you.

  2. I received my two hats from the recent "flash sale" where everything was $29.50. I purchased them during the magic hour so they were a great price. Both came from Lynchburg and were packaged perfectly. They were in a large enough box that neither was crushed, and had foam around the grosgrain keeping everything in place but again, not crushing. Very pleased!
