  1. FYI, I just used the expired WEDNESDAY code on some of the "Summer Styles for $25 & Under" and scored the gingham pj tops and shorts for an additional 40% off the already discounted price of $24.50 each! Not sure how long it'll last but hope fellow JCAs score some bargains!! :D

  2. Any thoughts on the cotton poplin apron dress? Marked down to $25.50 US ($35.50 Cdn) before any extra % off. I wish it didn't have the cut-out in the back, but its machine washable and not final sale! Reviews complain about large armholes but I often have the opposite problem with J Crew and find the armholes too snug for comfort.

    1. I had never seen it before today and thought it was very cute, but that style may be too big in the bust for me to fill out. I do better with less fabric, but if it will work for you it's adorable. :)
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the 40% off code shouldn't work on the $24.50 stuff...

    2. Hi, Cheri

In Canada, they have a different promo code running. It works on the $35.50 Cdn price. But once you factor in exchange and the $12 shipping I pay, I'd still be better off paying $24.50 US with no additional discount :-)

I cannot believe I am typing these prices. A couple of years ago, I was thrilled to buy stuff on sale at J Crew for $100...

    3. I ordered the dress in navy, I hadn't tried it but for $25 I figured I'd risk the arm hole issue. The polka dot jumpsuit is also included in the sale - I already own this and am bummed I paid more but it's super cute so I'm not upset about it. There wasn't much else I wanted to try at this point but some good prices on a few items for sure. I think the extra % off was probably working during the magic hour overnight.

    4. The dress is so cute from the front, but the back would be a concern for me. One review mentioned that the cutout didn’t allow for a bra (or at least a bra that wouldn’t show!), which is typical with so many tops and dresses these days. The designers add a "cute detail", but it makes it next to impossible to keep your bra under wraps.

    5. I think it would make my hips/rear look bigger, with the large pockets and the pleats around the waist. I did order the Liberty skirt - it's not my usual style, but as its not final sale I'm going to try. The Liberty popover did not work for me, maybe this will.

  3. Today I received the cross strap sandals in bright cerise. Last week they were not final sale. The sole is very similar to the Madewell boardwalk sandal rubber sole. (I have several of those). The leather straps are nicely done. The color is very pretty. I ordered a 9 and may have been able to do the 8.5 as well. If your feet are very narrow the straps might be too wide but they seem ok for me. I didn’t love the thicker ankle strap on the three strap flat sandals but this is more delicate and the way it crosses over seems to be flattering.

    1. Slight edit to above. Reviews said they ran small which is why I went with the 9 and after walking around a bit inside I do think the length is a little small, so the 9 works. The straps will def give so if you try it and they’re a little tight I would think they’ll stretch.

  4. Flash sale 50 percent off sale, but I’m not finding anything. Of course I keep checking. Anyone else.

    1. Would love to have snagged the denim pencil skirt but of course they aren’t offering a similar deal for Canada.

  5. Ordered cotton poplin beach tunic. Really like the look and will be great for warm temps. Had a 15% off code that I stacked with educator, so $18. Looked but couldn’t find anything else to try.

  6. FYI the ratti linen pull on skirt is gorgeous in person - and washable! It does wrinkle but not horribly. I’m thrilled with it. https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens_category/skirts/pencil/pullon-skirt-in-ratti-tropical-toile-linen/L8455

    1. I just fell in love and bought this one too! Went to the store intending to pick-up a ship-to-store order but came out with this lovely skirt. Effortless elegance; I envision wearing it to work on hot days but also on weekends or vacations with a tee.

    2. I bought the linen pull on Ratti skirt too & it is gorgeous. Wasn’t sure about the elastic waist but it’s so well done I’m glad I got it.
