Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I didn't get to go to a store but I received the Button Front Chino Skirt in khaki and I love it! I didn't pay attention to it when it first rolled out but after seeing some raving reviews I tried it. The cotton is substantial (no lining but not needed), the quality seems quite good and it reminds me of old school Jcrew. The pocket linings are striped, just the added touch we'd find years ago. I'm 5'7" and it falls below my knees. It is a full skirt but fit me better than the postcard print skirt which looked too long on me and too full. Quite a few reviews said to size down but I took my usual sz 2 in this and I consider myself to have a small waist. I have some Jcrew skirts in a 0 but the elastic waist felt uncomfortably tight in the 0 so I stuck with my usual 2. It can be casual or dressed up a bit and overall I really love it. The elastic lets you move it up higher or lower which helps find a great fit.

    1. Great review, Jan! Nice to hear that the skirt has some old school JC elements (love the bit about the pocket lining.) That skirt color is nice and neutral and will work with a lot of pieces! It isn't the best shape on my figure, otherwise I would've snatched it up. Enjoy!

  2. I went in Friday and ended up buying a pair of skinny jeans "toothpick" on promo but just realized today that a 15% off card was included in my bag. I had placed another order on Friday for online items and called CS who applied the one time use code to that order. Since the card expires in a week I'm glad I realized!

  3. Wondering when the small roll-out is going to be? There is a J.Crew Drake's pajama top (from nyfw) I'm waiting to roll out that someone posted on their IG (can't remember who it was...) that she saw from Instyle (maybe) October issue. Pretty print, and looking forward to seeing it IRL.

  4. Shameful...i went to j crew had nothing extra off sale and same old crap..and then they say they are not accepting student or teacher discount now on sale....eeek way to drive away business!

    1. My store has never allowed the student discount to be stacked, not sure if it's like that for all Canadian stores or not. Thankfully Factory is still offering it on all merchandise, and even gave me a bonus student discount for a future purchase.

    2. I've been able to stack my teacher discount on very few occasions in Canada but usually can in the US. If we can't even use it on sale items that don't have an extra % off that is upsetting.

    3. It just annoys me that the policy is so inconsistent regarding the teacher discount. Even with Factory, some stores will not give it if the whole store is a percent off, while others will. Just make a policy and follow it.

  6. Dropped into Factory today, clearance was 50% off. I bought a clearance necklace and used my student discount. The cashier gave me a card that bumps the student discount up to 20% off for my next visit before Nov 15. In new arrivals, I saw the sweater blazer at a “special price” of $89 CAD, I don’t know how that compares to what it’s been during other recent promotions (it’s currently $78 USD on the website). The fabric of the Short Sleeve Flounce Ponte dress G9357 has a nice heft to it but I didn’t try it on as I don’t wear that cut.

    1. my purchase price for the sweater blazer was $67.50 with tax $75.60 Canadian $ about two weeks ago at the factory outlet near Vancouvers airport. I like it..hardly ever do factory anymore. but this is an exception.

    2. Good to know, thanks for the pricing info. I've been curious after all the raves I've seen here on JCA, but not sure it's a piece I need.

  7. I didn't make it to a store this weekend but I saw on SarahKJP (or Sarah Vickers) IG stories a cute turtleneck striped long sleeved dress. It's expired now (the videos only last 24 hours) but the dress was so cute (I love turtlenecks ;). She had it paired with a longer cardigan and it looked really good. I looked on the website and can't find it. It looks just like the long sleeve striped dress (knee length, not maxi) but it is a turtleneck.
