  1. Some sale items are 60% off! Icon trench in wool cashmere $104!

    1. Yes, lots of winter stuff in the 60% section. I caved and bought the Diamond Tweed pink coat for $60! Also, saw the oxford check coat is included. Several shirts (Stewart, festive plaid and buffalo check), lace/velvet items, black watch print (Regent blazer and excursion vest) are there aw well. I also grabbed the wool sailor skirt for $36.

    2. I cannot believe that $325 coat is $60 and all sizes left. How J. Crew can expect to stay in business is beyond me. For $60, I'm sure the coat is fine, but reviews point to weird fabric, poor fit, and weird design elements (white piping, gold buttons). For $60, it's a pretty color. I just don't know what J. Crew is thinking. Most customers aren't stupid and are (obviously) not paying $325 for that coat! They must be losing their shirts with these offerings at 60% off. Even with those prices, and lots available, I'm not interested in ordering anything.

    3. @ Lauren good for you! That's an awesome price, 80% off, on that coat. Agree, there are some very good buys. I really like the long merino cardigans and was able to order sherwood forest color for $20. Received a PA on suede leggings in black that I just received today. They're beautiful; tts in an 8 and the suede is a very good quality. They're comparable to Vince suede leggings I own and $138 is a great price IMO.

    4. My reply sounded harsher than it needed to be! The coat is a great deal for $60, as are so many other deals. I just miss when J. Crew didn't need to mark things down so much to sell them because they were high quality items worth their original price.

I have that festive plaid shirt. I wore it twice and it's missing 4 bottons. So it's not even worth the $24 it's selling for now. The clothes are just so poorly made. It's sad.

    5. Thanks @mygoddy! I'm looking forward to it. Your black suede leggings sound awesome!

    6. Beverly, it's okay I get where you are coming from. I'm happy with paying that price for a fun coat that I'll prob only wear a few times a season. I'm in the South so I rarely wear 'real coats' (only a few times this winter so far). It is insane that this coat is down to $60 from $325! I'm not sure how that happens. I also noticed that the Double Breasted Oxford Check coat is available in almost all sizes (and it gets great reviews). Maybe they made way too many of these coats.
I was actually planning to leave a 'vent' today but never got around to it. I put on a t-shirt I haven't worn in a while (the Funny Birds tee...anyone remember that one?) and I found a hole in it. I feel like everytime I put a t-shirt on lately I find a hole in it. It's frustrating and I have stopped buying t-shirts from jcrew because of it.

    7. Good for you Lauren! I thought I was getting a deal two weeks ago for $115 after my bounce back coupon! At least I can feel better about it since my size is gone. Haha. I will be stalking those extra 60% goodies.

    8. I keep telling myself I do not need another winter coat! The deals are great and to be honest if there was something in my size this morning that I wanted i would have bit. Thankfully(I guess) nothing in my size. I will keep looking for popbacks though. Prices are too good to pass up.

    9. I emailed about a price adjustment and hope they'll honor it. I bought the red windowpane chateau parka for what I thought was a great price on Sunday, and it's $50 cheaper this morning! Almost caved for the pink diamond, but I have a lady jacket on the way and talked myself out of it.

    10. I picked up a few items - the sequin skirt for $42 and the tweed/lace top in black/ivory for $12. Hopefully the skirt ships and I can return my NWT skirt that I paid twice as much for!

    11. The mobile site showed the wrong promo code when I looked early this morning, and now everything of interest in my size has sold out. Guess my shopping break continues!

    12. Anne, so glad you were able to get it. I thought of you when I saw it. Such a great price!

    1. I am not fond of a single, solitary print. So disappointed, yet again! Well, on second thought I do kind of like the mermaid print but not any of the items that are in that fabric. I'll see my self out while I play my sad trombone...

    2. Love the Italian cashmere tie back sweater but not the $$$ price! The ornate floral print is pretty but I want to see the colors in person.

    3. SC - I had to have a second glance at the Tippi in that ornate floral print (as I cannot resist a Tippi) but the more I looked at it, the less I liked it. It reminds me of bad 70s wallpaper. I'm sure some will like it & rock it but it's not for me.

    4. @ShoppingCelle, that sweater is cute and I also like the stripe sequin skirt. Nothing I must have and I'll definitely wait it out. Hoping there's more to come?

      Delete
    5. That striped trench coat--looks perfect except for the paisley print? Maybe I need to see it IRL. Not a fan of the lining.

    6. I think the Tippi in ornate floral is pretty but I'm not sure if it's too 70's looking for me. Either way I don't think it would work on my pale skintone. I'm curious about the "new" perfect fit tee as I'm wondering if longer sleeves will look better or worse? Also interested in the paperbag waisted skirt; however, I have a feeling it may pouf out or not be flattering. The rollout looks ok I guess (for Jan./Feb.) but I wish we could fast forward to Mar./Apr. and see if things are going to improve for our beloved retailer.

    8. I like the ornate floral tippi BECAUSE it's so 70s looking! :)

OT: I hate auto correct sometimes. :/

    9. Love Thomas Mason® for J.Crew tie-waist shirtdress
item G3279. Hope is looks and fits great IRL. Pre-ordered it as I nearly missed the last TM dress (was lucky to get as popback).

    10. Ornate Floral Tippi will be mine. Oh, yes. I love it. It looks very Liberty to me. I don't mind looking like an old person's sofa or wallpaper.

    11. I have no doubt that you ladies will rock that Tippi! I do hope they release more Tippis with the printed front & solid back & collar as I really think that's an interesting detail.

      Delete
    12. Oh, I do really like the scalloped khakis BUT I never, ever tuck in my tops so that detail would be completely lost on me. BR put out a scalloped-hem pencil skirt a few seasons ago that was darling - would like to see the same from JC in their great color range! (Sorry for all the comments today; it's been a slow morning.)

    13. Not in love - need to see that ornate floral in person - it's not really in my color wheel. I do like the Elsie cap toe pumps in both colorways.

    15. Agree, Taylor - I don't tuck in tops either. The scalloped khakis are awfully cute, though. It's just so great to see new stuff! Can't wait to get the new style guide. :)

    16. The chambray ruffle pant, ruffle chino and windowpane pant are offered in tall sizes. I'm happy to see this. The ornate floral skirt is made of poly. I didn't expect this.

    17. I love the Ornate Floral, but wish they hadn't made the back of the sweater solid navy. The skirt is lovely, but as I don't wear things tucked in I wouldn't be able to show off the pretty waist-tie.

    18. Have any of you ladies owned a previous version of the Blythe top? I think the Skylark Blue Blythe top in silk georgette is easily beautiful.

  3. I can't find the one thing I was interested in...the khaki scalloped skirt. I agree with Taylor I want to love the ornate flower, but the more I look at it I'm not so sure (knowing me I'll probably cave though).

    3. I like this skirt too but since I'm almost six feet tall I'll avoid this 17.5" skirt.

      Delete
    4. That's a bummer. What a missed opportunity for a tall version on J.Crew's end. We keep saying more styles in tall and petite sizes would be welcome! I'd probably buy this skirt in a tall if they offered it for some extra length.

      Delete
    5. Co-signed! Saw this, thought it was cute - especially in the green colorway - but then saw the length. I'm not even "tall" (I'm 5'7") but a 17.5" skirt for me is a no-go, even to be worn casually.

      Delete
    6. I'm 5'5" and a 17.5 skirt won't work on me either!

  4. Anyone can convince me why I should buy the Net a Porter faux fur stripe stole in navy/ivory? It's on sale. Nets at $52 after promo. But it's final sale.
Not really my style--but oh so cute.
    Too Pepe Le Pew? lol!

    1. Do you have a navy coat to wear it with to keep it neutral/toned down? I think since it's navy and white not black and white it's not too skunk-like.

    2. Yea, I have my favorite Sabrina in navy. I'll have to feel it out. :-)

  5. A bunch of the New Balance pieces are in the extra 60% off section. :P

As for the Diamond Tweed Coat, it was so odd with that coat, it sold out earlier in the season, then they kept getting more and more back in stock in every size like every two weeks. And the more they got back the more they marked it down. I bet they got a bunch of shipments from the manufacturer late, and this is a logistical problem on their part where they could have sold it for higher prices if it had all shipped in on time.
I think the color of the coat is pretty but hate the gold buttons. But for $60 for the coat, those could be swapped out.

    3. The jacket does have the potential to look worn out.

  6. I just visited my store during my lunch break (5th Ave, NYC) because I was hoping they might have Jewel box cluster necklace ($128.00 item F9467) in the store. It's Final Sale and I've seen it on one JCA on Insta -- looks super pretty, but I'd have to try it on b/c I don't wear necklaces like this often. (Probably my answer right there!)

Anyways, no dice on the necklace, but they did have a few items from next week's rollout, including

Pencil skirt in Ratti® striped floral item G0964 -- I really like this print, but it doesn't come in Petite, unfortunately for me.

Gemma suede flats with pom-poms item G0877 - I liked the yellow online but in person, the color seemed almost chartreuse.

Tie-waist skirt in ornate floral $110.00 item G0962 - @st pointed out that it was poly, which I hadn't noticed before. Saw it in-store, and VERY surprisingly, this poly didn't feel horrid/rough. (I was expecting a feel similar to that Leopard Tie-waist skirt from last season, which felt shiny & thick. This skirt didn't feel like that, IMO. Curious to hear what others think.

As for the print itself, they had the skirt & the sleeveless top -- it's pretty, but seems a little muted maybe? Just didn't grab me.

Garment-dyed fatigue shirt $69.50 item G1162 - the khaki color seemed REALLY sheer, thin, and like the last fatigue shirt, seems to run really big.

The Gingham button-downs in pink and another color (blue?) Very spring-like. Gingham navy in Crinkle cotton or whatever that was called, also back.

Sailor chino item G2311 - this probably came out before but I hadn't noticed it before. Very (VERY) wide-leg.

More penny tops in thin fabric (why??), cute bracelets, including a striped hinge one and finally, a pretty, sleeveless, navy top with a ruffled bib that reminded me of something H&M did last summer. (Tag said G2328 but it's not coming up online yet.)

Curious to see what else pops up!

    1. @TM93, thank you for reporting on new items! I'm intrigued by the navy sleevless top you mentioned, since it's not showing up hopefully that means there'll be more new items online that we're not seeing.

      Delete
    2. @jan, sure, you're welcome! I liked the look of that top right away -- it's very simple, but I can't resist a good ruffle! It is sleeveless, mid-weight cotton. The body was dark navy, while the bib at the shoulders were a white/blue shirting pattern. They had the same style with a Gray body, and a white eyelet pattern on the bib. (Oh, also, it was priced at $45.) I'm hoping there's a bit than what we can see online as well! :-)

  7. Loving the bargains today with extra 60% SHOPSALE promo. The fringy top in tweed and lace #g0356 $12 and the tortoise flower necklace f6519 $26 after discount. Make sure you ask to match online price in store. I just posted a shot of these two pieces on my IG @shoppingcelle

  8. I've been on a posting run today, but I wanted to say how much I appreciate both of my items arriving well packaged today. Both are coats/jackets that were on nice padded hangers. The windowpane parka was in a plastic garment bag and the polka dot lady jacket was in a proper garment bag with the buttons still in their protective wrapping. Interesting when I ordered the lady jacket in a different size previously it just came thrown in box. That was a splurge item for me and so it was nice to have it come out of the box feeling special this time.
