Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. So much for CARDLOVE. The code isn't working on anything in my cart. Maybe it’s not valid on sale? Details don’t specify.

  2. Same here. Thank you to pbanos for posting code yesterday, I was able to use in this morning in lieu of cardlove.

  3. yes, darn, CARDLOVE not working even though it does say "extra 20% off purchase including sale styles". Sometimes they fix these non-working codes later in the day, may try again this afternoon. Was just going to try a pair of mules I don't need anyway :P

  5. Here’s some good news about returns. My girlfriend shipped my items back via UPS Ground to Jcrew’s new return center in Rural Hall , NC. All items were credited within 24 hours of delivery arrival.

  6. This belongs on the vent section but wanted to see if anyone else might have had this issue. I made an in store purchase at a Factory store & just realized I didn’t get my reward points. I emailed JCrew customer service with all the info, date, register, store number etc. I got an email back telling me they can’t help me I need to “work it out with the store” not the reply I was expecting

  7. Code still does not work today! Weird! I did place 2 orders yesterday. Non final sale and had them adjusted by the chat rep! It’s annoying! Second chat person gave me hard time saying saletime if not combinable with cardlove. But adjusted at the end!

    1. yesterday AM when I tried (and failed) with CARDLOVE it said under the promo box (after I typed it in) "extra 20% off purchase including sale styles", but it still did not apply the extra 20% off. Now I wish I'd taken a screen shot! Another non-promo from JC.

    2. I can't even get cardlove to work on full price items I put in my cart! Has anyone had any luck at all stacking this promo? I think it is supposed to run the whole month of October so maybe they will sort it out eventually.

    3. CARDLOVE works for me. You have to click on "check out now" button and it will take off 20% off. SALETIME code works under promo box but not CARDLOVE.

    5. Hi there - the promo code is still working even if it's not reflecting a discount at checkout. Make sure you redeem it at checkout and use your J.Crew Card to complete the purchase. Then, your order confirmation page and email should show the 20% off applied on the eligible items. If it doesn't show the 20% off was taken off, please send us the order number and we'll manually adjust the discount for you.

  11. To clarify read the first of my posts. This came from their IT Dept. I would also like to note that initially when the Cardlove promo was posted this information was posted that you would see the discount until ou received a confirmation email on your. They took it off. I also placed an order which did not reflect the discount and it did not show up. I canceled immediately. I don’t need or want anything. Again their IT Dept should be ashamed of themselves. Being paid for a job they can even do! Fire them all.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Not see the discount until you received an order confirmation email.!Sorry for the typos.

  13. ^^^ Wait. The discount doesn't show up until you get the confirmation email?!?! And if it doesn't, you have to contact CS to manually adjust it?!?!

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME, JCREW?!?!

The IT department needs to be fired for sure.

  14. I did stop in earlier this week to make a return and spend my birthday reward. Returns: I bought the Liberty Elysian Floral puff sleeve dress in Tall given the listed length of the regular seeming short and reviews saying it was short-waisted. That was the right move and at 5'4" it came right above the knee. Unfortunately with the high neckline, larger sleeves, and cottage-y print, it looked very old-fashioned, so it was a return. Cottage dress in Liberty Annelise was completely see-through.

When I was in-store I tried on a few of the new things. The patch pocket silk popover in oversize paisley is a pretty print but the weirdest neckline- the lapels are creased oddly width wise and there's a stitch at the bottom that make it seem like it's trying to go for an asymmetrical wrap or something? It's subtle and the print hides it but I was very confused about the construction. The Liberty tapestry print is nice, very fall-appropriate. The flannel button downs this season are very thick and warm, a bit nubbly in a way that made it feel like they were not 100% cotton, which I would have expected to feel smoother. There wasn't pilling, per se, but it felt kind of like it was supposed to feel pre-felted, if that makes sense? Interestingly the puff-sleeve flannel popover felt lighter weight and smoother. The puff and the ruffle are not overdone at all and don't add too much bulk- I feel like they add interest and these tops will remain a relevant "twist on a classic" after the greater trend fades. Sad to see no new Tippis, I think they're officially gone. I had birthday rewards to use by the end of the month, so I bought the vintage cotton tee in pressed flowers. As always it was thin and slightly sheer and will probably pill and/or have holes within a few months of wear, but the design was cute. Waiting for a decent promo to order anything else.

  15. I would have had to visit a store had my recent purchase not been great, but guess what, it was a pleasant surprise.

This week, I ordered University terry crewneck sweatshirt with floral ink graphic Item BC176. I got it at promo price with 15% off (plus 4-6% cashback from my credit card). It arrived in three days. It's darling! It's oversized but in a good way - it's supposed to be drapey - a few washes and it will look "vintage." Much wider than how it looks on the first pic of the model (it must have been pinned in the back on her). The second pic of the model is more like real life - I'm glad they included it. I ordered the XXS and while the sleeves fit fine, you might be able to fit two of me in the body. The band at the bottom did not appear to be elasticized when I did my quick try-on It's got a sporty, 90s vibe

It's bright white - any ideas on how to keep it this way? I have a basic HE front loader.

    1. I haven't been shopping much, but I think I'm just not enthused about J.Crew's shapes, styles, and colors. I have the Dalton top coat in my wish list, but I can't say I need another coat.

I think what is most appealing to me is that it's real wool and says "slim fit" rather than over-sized, relaxed, and drapey. Also, it's plaid with a bit of color in it rather than being one of those cat food colors.

  17. Also received the 15 percent off Everlane code and as much as I like the sweaters I have from them all the new ones I like seem way too boxy and I’m not feeling any of them. Some different colors and shapes but not sure I’m feeling anything 100 percent besides trying loungewear which I’m trying to get away from.

  18. Suz: I got that sweater in the raspberry color, and I wore it for the first time today. I like it a lot, and I'm fine with the collar being "flat." It is soft and did not itch at all. I'm 5'3", l00 lbs. (or a bit less), 34B, longish thin arms, and I had ordered both XS and XXS. The arms were too floppy and a bit long on me in the XS, and the XXS fit perfectly.

I opened the top button and was able to put the collar on the outside of the lapels on a blazer.

    1. @MmeJacqueline, no I don’t have a Facebook account but I’m sure there will be more negative comments added. Not surprised and I believe they should sack their designer. 2. @Lynn: Good for you for not having a FB account! I got one when people were organizing a class reunion, but I don't play much there because I don't trust them.

I so agree about this designer. She needs to go. That comment was made on FB, including most of the same ones we've made here.

Last night I was looking at the September issue of British Harper's Bazaar, and there were so many fabulous colors being shown. I thought to myself, "Oh, J.Crew, you could have done something gorgeous like these." Yes, it's a shame.

  28. Bothe Factory and Jcrew websites are not adding the additional discounts so I suggest if you want to order something order it cancel it and then contact them Monday morning in your time zones. Another alternative is to take a screen shot. They should honor both. What a mess.

  29. I received Smocked neck puff-sleeve cotton poplin top
    Item BB262
which I ordered in both black and white. The poplin is a nice weight. This is definitely a statement top for me, more so than the similar linen top from the summer. The sleeves are much more exaggerated. I dress pretty simply so I’m ok with adding whimsy with this but I imagine it will be too much for many.
I think the quality and style are nice but I admit I probably didn’t need both colors.

    Reversible cotton bucket hat
Item BB111 Is nice. S/m fits my small head well. The stitching is a fun detail. Should work well for sun and rain.

  30. I (stupidly?) decided to take a chance last night and ordered one item and, wow, when I got my order confirmation email, big surprise, the extra 20% off for CARDLOVE promo for cardholders wasn't taken off, lol. I emailed CS right away and got an adjusted receipt this afternoon. Now I have to check my JC card statement and make sure that didn't get messed up. All this double checking and such gets exhausting. ha.
It was funny, my response from CS was just the corrected confirmation email and nothing else. In the past I ALWAYS would get a response like "Hi, sorry about that, I have attached your corrected receipt. Let us know if you need further assistance" etc etc. Maybe they're getting inundated with CARDLOVE correction requests.

  31. Stopped in store this weekend for a couple of returns. Picked up cashmere ribbed leggings since I had a birthday gift card. Also, if anyone is interested in the Ludlow cashmere navy suit pants, I accidentally discovered the cashmere is Loro Piana, so the price is a steal, even at full price. I ordered during 40% off promo a few weeks ago and had to exchange sizes; the return receipt indicated Loro Piana collection suit pants; if you read the item description, you will realize that's the Italian mill that's being referenced.

    1. @Mygoddy, great deal Tara! I had ordered a pair and cancelled because I wasn’t sure about sizing. I may reorder depending upon your feedback on sizing and hoping my stylist will honor the discounted price. Normally does. One other question, can you please look at the small white tag on the Ludlow pants and see what season is on there? Thanks so much and enjoy wearing them! Elsewhere the price of high end cashmere has gone through the roof. Looked at a couple of coats here and they’re nearly the price of an hour of jet fuel even with 50% off and paying cash. May wait for a sale.

    2. Hi Lynn, pants are Spring 21. Good luck and hope they work! Yikes on the pricing; that's ridiculous, but that's the reality at this point with supply chain issues and other operational issues increasing costs.

  32. I was surprised to wake up this morning and see that sale was still 50 percent off and more items were added, but as I was looking I watched prices fluctuate (increase) before my eyes. No thanks.

I’m going to the mall for returns today and will pop in to take a look. Mostly I seem to return more than I keep.

  33. Thank you to whomever provided me with sizing information on the Wide-leg pleated chino pant, Item BA292 (pbanos?) I sized down and they were a perfect fit. You know they're good when you receive on Sunday, wear to work Monday, and then I was able to catch a popback of the navy blue last night.

Wearing the cropped patch-pocket beach cardigan sweater, Item AY828 today. Like this so much I ordered it in all three of the lower price colors. Great deal and would recommend. I went with the smaller of my two sweater sizes, and my true size (XS).

    ReplyDelete
  34. So I did wind up buying the two sweaters I was interested in:

Cotton-cashmere patch-pocket mockneck sweater (Item BA320) in black and usual size small. It's a little big but I like it a lot. I'm 5'4" and it hits at just the right spot on my hips. If I were taller, it might be an issue. I got it for a little less than $60 and it's a little cheaper now but I don't feel like playing the pricing games. I also like the fact this is mostly cotton so I feel safe washing it (as opposed to spending the $$ on dry cleaning).

Stretch wool cable-knit crewneck sweater (Item BB408) Size small in the yellow color. First, this yellow was not flattering for me. I should just give up on yellow sweaters this season. I like yellow but it doesn't like me back. Second, it says fitted but it was a little big on me. Like I don't think I could wear an XS but the arms were puffier and I felt like I had bingo arms and the bottom hem didn't sit flush against my hips... just kind of hung there. I'd be willing to try it in another color and smaller size if it's in the store to try on, but I'm not bothering to order this one again.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I am glad you had one git, and sorry to hear about the miss. I had the same exact problem with the collared cashmere sweater last year. The ribbed hem just hung oddly. I must say that CS did let me return it. That's what is keeping me from buying the cashmere puff-sleeve mockneck sweater, item BA382. The dang hem!

      Delete
    2. @MissJR, happy you like that cotton cashmere top. I was disappointed because as I previously mentioned I don’t have an Audrey Hepburn neck. It is such a nice sweater wear it in good health!

      Delete
    3. @Miss JR now I’m curious about BA320. Is it very boxy? I was trying not to buy another black sweater but realized I don’t have mocknecks, mostly turtlenecks and sometimes my neck needs a break. Are the pockets functional for holding a phone, for example?

      Delete
    4. @Suz Has it's boxy. i bought a small (my usual size although i do fit into XS a fair amount of time). pit to pit and length are both about 21" on the sweater i bought. i'm 5'4" so i'm fine with the length but i think taller people might feel it's too cropped. the pockets are large enough to fit my phone (google pixel) but i think the weight of it would pull the sweater down too much so if you use the pockets, i'd stick with something lighter. for me, the sweater is exactly what i wanted.

      Delete
    5. @Miss JR thank for for the details. I think it may be too boxy for me. Pretty sure my store had some so if I get there this week I’ll try in person.

      Delete
  35. For those interested the merino ruffle collar sweater is on sale.

  36. BB236 Liberty print. Has anyone seen this in person and if so what’s the background color pink like? Not for me as I’m not into puffed sleeves but it would be a gift for someone that does like the look. Thanks all!

  38. TRY-ON reviews.
Visited the store and tried on a few things. I came from the gym so my sports bra and leggings did not help so much with tryons, but happy to answer any questions.

    Cashmere puff-sleeve mockneck sweater
    Item BA382
Very pretty, sleeves are voluminous, very soft fabric. I felt the small but more fitted across the chest than I wanted but medium felt too big for the style. Berry Color was pretty but too bold for me.

    Ruffle-collar ribbed merino wool sweater
    Item BB389
Tried medium in the olive and large in the stripe. Love the olive color but didn’t love the fit. I just don’t love fitted sweaters which is just me. The fabric is soft and not at all itchy. The collar on the olive didn’t bother me but I did not like it on the stripe. (I just tried sizes that were available. If I wanted it to fit without being too tight I’d prob get a small. Medium was a bit loose.) this is not a sweater for layering, IMO.

    Cashmere collared sweater in stripe
    Item BA374
Very soft, fit true to size though a bit boxy. I didn’t love to cut or collar for myself.

    Cashmere relaxed rollneck™ sweater
    Item BA407
Flamingo, pretty color, super soft, lighter weight. Runs large. Could work with a button down if you stuck with your usual size. If I wore more pink I’d get this. Even though it’s long the fabric is thin enough that one could easily do a little tuck.

Classic fit silk shirt in mixed dots, item BB216
Super cute. I don’t see this online currently. Fabric is very thin. Runs large. 2 was generous in size, but because of the thin silk I’m not sure I would want to try a 2 for fear I’d rip the shoulder seams. I thought the pattern was fun and if the silk was a bit thicker/less sheer or cotton instead I may have gotten it. It was $112.99 on sale, store was 50 percent off sale section and extra 20 percent for card holders. $45 is not bad but I really wasn’t sure how it would work with jeans, might be better with black trousers. The color was a very pale rose pink, basically my “nude” color.

They had the cotton cashmere patch pocket sweater in the sale section as well but I don’t really need it in black and it would be too boxy on me.

    4. Yes Suz! Thanks for the reviews. I can’t get excited about anything shopping these days. I had rewards to use before they expired and made a special trip into the store and found absolutely nothing I wanted to buy. I ended up buying my daughter a pair of big hoop earrings online so I wouldn’t loose my rewards.

    5. Thanks for the reviews. I can't believe how sloppy BA407 looks on the models. It looks really bad. I thought about purchasing a sale item but I tried the Cardlove promo this morning and it wouldn't work. I can't be bothered to email them.

      Delete
    6. Thanks, Suz. The cashmere rollneck sounds interesting to me. I truly don’t need any more cashmere, but may be on super sale I’ll consider it.

    7. ST and Jeanne, the model pics and styling online overall do not inspire me to want to buy anything.

I like a slouchy sweater so the cut of this didn’t bother me, especially to wear as a layer. I could easily see adding this style to my closet and wearing over a button down with my black wide leg trousers and a silk scarf. If it went on sale I’d try the Spruce. That might be because each time I wear green my husband compliments my eyes, so I may as well add more of it.

Shopping celle, it’s not just crew either…I’ve returned dozens of shoes and boots to Nordstrom. Everlane’s new sweaters are not for me. Nothing else I’ve seen from the usual places is making me want to buy.

The exception is my new obsession, G-star raw for their Deck wide leg jeans (the cotton only ones) which make me feel like a super model (just ordered my third color) and the c-staq 3-D boyfriend crop which I have in three colors (also cotton only) and get compliments from young and old alike for being the coolest jeans they’ve ever seen. I’ve literally gotten rid of every other pair of jeans.

      Delete
    8. Thanks for all the reviews @Suz. I'm not looking now, but *every* black sweater calls to me.

I've decided that slouchy sweaters appeal to me because the arms and shoulders fit me - unfortunately the rest can be pretty sloppy.

Nice you found your dream pants!!

      Delete
    9. PBanos, I feel you on the black and the slouchiness. I just don’t love when they are too boxy and cropped, but as long as there is some length I feel doing a little tuck prevents them from looking too sloppy.
Now that I think about it it’s kind of too bad the relaxed rollneck is not available in black— it’s a good cross between a mockneck/turtleneck and crew neck for me and a collared shirt can still peek out.

    1. @Lynn, Thanks for sharing the launch date, although I'm not holding out much hope for slim fits and nice colors.

That is so wrong not to share what's coming with stylists! What's the big secret?

      Delete
    2. @MmeJacqueline, can’t blame it on the pandemic so here’s my humble opinion. Pretty large egos from the top believing that creating a certain air of secrecy before/during launches would drive customers to purchase more when items were launched online. They blew that with customers such as myself and most likely you and many others. I remember receiving previews and being thrilled to have a chance to preorder not only for what was new but it was also a time saver. I would pass this information on to friends who would do the same. Most important however was being able to speak with my VPS who had all the specifics and having a wonderful one on one human conversation. The conversations continue with her but many times criticize the awful stuff the company has been churning out and she’s left to doing price adjustments, reorders and taking a lot of flack from a lot people. Again, I feel very bad for her and the others. Lastly it’s tiring going on line experiencing continuous website issues.

    3. On the topic of mis-pricing, did anyone else see that the classic fit cashmere crewneck in vibrant red was $6.99 (yes, less than $7, not a typo) before promos this morning? I was afraid to post it here b/c I know JC people check this site...

      Delete
    4. In response to anonymous above, if JC actually cancelled the orders, I don't feel like that is fair since they posted the item with the price listed. For people who were able to order the chateau at that sale price, if your orders were cancelled, you should be able to reorder at that price if the same item is later available online and if you can show proof of your order that went through at that price...

      Delete
    5. I understand why they cancelled the orders. The black chateau parkas are new arrivals available at every size, so it is a price mistake. Jcrew did fulfill coats of past seasons at $1x.xx if you are able to order one.

      Delete
    6. I definitely seemed like a mistake, the parkas. They can say it was from Fall 20 not new arrivals.
I missed the red cashmere too, and that’s a color I wear.

  42. I visited the store to pick up my red totes that I got monogrammed to give as gifts for Xmas. I picked up the silk tan pull on skirt BA909 to wear for an upcoming fall themed birthday. It’s well made and I took the larger of my skirt sizes (small) which fit my 26 inch/35” waist/hips well. It comes a few inches above my ankle. Silk has good weight to it.
@lynn the SA was wearing the shirt you asked about. The background is a pale peachy pink. Looked lovely on her.
I didn’t try on much since I was in a hurry.

  44. Minor update on rollout in the 19th. Supposedly there will be winter items included. No additional info info available. If all here would be willing to do so, please send or post that you want previews from the stylists and how it’s not fair to their stylists and customers alike. Perhaps if we all do this we would all benefit. Someone has to listen.

      Delete
    2. @kikigrl, it helps the stylist more if requests are made more visible. All the they can do is note it, pass it on and then they’re still ignored by upper management. This is why I suggested a social platform. More people and hopefully better results

      Delete
    3. Thank you for your efforts on the previews, Lynn. I think you were correct upthread when you said J Crew is trying to gin up a scarcity perception by keeping the new arrivals “secret.” With fewer stores and no more style guides to generate interest, it seems like a missed opportunity. My stylist at my closest store (before it closed) was constantly apologizing for not having more merchandise info.

  45. Please be aware there is absolutely NO flexibility when purchasing FS items online. I placed multiple orders a few minutes ago and mentioned because sizing was off and reviews weren’t helpful asked if she would wave the FS so I could reorder in case there was a fit problem. I told her a second time I would absolutely reorder as the fit was questionable. Reply was no and pretty arrogant. I had even paid for Expedited shipping. I cancelled. Stylists as well no longer have any option to do so either.

  46. I placed 2 small orders yesterday. If I had done today (sale just went to 60% off) I would be $20+ richer. dang. You won this round JC. As payback I'm not going to order the "blooming floral" pleated skirt I was eyeing even though with promos it's down to like $20. Also the blue suede mules. I never would have worn them anyway. :|

    3. @MissJR, Agree. It’s a pity that Nordstrom no longer sells Jcrew except for pop backs. From my experience their price matching is excellent, and if you know someone personally in the store they will go out of their way to accommodate you and always do price adjustments. Returns have never been a problem even if FS. Being nice go a long way with them unlike what Jcrew has become at least online. If I were you I would complain to Jcrew directly even msg them via social media if you use it. Won’t cost anything more.

    4. I got the store to give me a price adjustment. I went in to return the yellow sweater (BB408) and explained the black sweater (BA320) price. Was confusing as all heck because I tried to explain how the promos got it to just under $34 and all he kept saying was "how?" because he looked it up online and it was $106. 🙄

  48. Glad I didn’t order stuff I didn’t need yesterday. Anyone who knows me will laugh but for some reason I’ve been tempted to buy something pink. I’m glad the puff sleeve I got in black and white sold out in the warm rose color. And the multi Heather and flamingo in the roll neck cashmere are still too iffy. I ended up getting a relaxed fit garment dyed lightweight cotton poplin shirt AY728 in iced orchid. Was tempted by the kiwi but know that is a horrible color next to my skin. I love oversized button downs in warm weather and don’t have any in pink. If the color is not great I can dip dye it myself. I also got a gray tshirt. Big spender, $13 for both.

    1. I saw it in store this week. It’s cute but I don’t think I like the supersoft yarn.

      Delete
    2. I don’t like super soft yarn either. It’s a synthetic blend and it looks a mess after just a few wears.

      Delete
    3. Yes and Madewells similar option does the same. They don’t hold their shape well and pill a lot. If they last a season it’s a lot.

      Delete
    4. I won’t buy anything labeled super soft no matter how low the price. It literally ends up in the trash after a handful of wears (it was so bad I felt like it wasn’t worthy of donation)

      Delete
    5. Super soft yarn is a really inferior acrylic blend that is disposable, fast fashion quality. It will pill after a couple of wears and distorts out of shape w even careful laundering. Not all synthetic blends are bad and even high-end designers use them, but this one is bad.

  52. Long merino wool cardigan sweater
    Item BA398
Has anyone seen in person? I can’t see well enough on screen if it’s a super thin merino or if it has a little more weight. 30” is sort of an awkward length, would need to be worn open or belted. Of course I love the Chanel inspired look but it’s so hard to tell if it would work.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Suz: I tried this sweater and had ordered both XS and XXS. Only the XS shipped because they "wished they had enough" of the XXS. The XS was way too large on me and looked sad and sloppy, which was too bad because I really love things that have that nod to Chanel.

I wouldn't say that the it was super thin merino, but it would have been much better if it had been thicker. I am 5'3", and it was a very awkward length on me.

All in all, I do wish this style had been executed differently in a wool that was closer to the weight of the sweater blazers. If the XXS became available, I would not reorder.

    1. So I got the grey yesterday! Sized down to zero from my normal 2. They looked and felt big. My daughter said I can’t wear them to work and they did look like sweats! With all the discount I did order the navy for $20 but sized down to 00.
They are good fabric and lined! But I did not like the big sweat pant look! I don’t think I would wear them at home! I have my cashmere for lounge lol

      Delete
    2. Ok, you are both convincing me it might not be worth it. I wasn’t so much worried about dry clean because I would steam them but maybe they’re not so comfy for lounge? I was thinking maybe the tall 0 since the 28 inch inseam is kind of awkward. I’ve lost my Covid-stress weight and maybe they would be too big.

    3. I wear a lot of Cameron pants. So theese were just huge on leg and but. I terms of using them for lounge pants Because they lined they are structured so feel more for going out then the couch! I will try the navy on 00, which is never my size. But see if I can wear them to work! Although I am not hopeful! Lol

    1. Hi Lynn, I have several daphnes and love them. For me, they are a great weight when I don’t want/need a full on coat. Easy to wear in car, easy to carry. They are a bit oversized but I think they look best that way so I stuck with my normal coat size.

I have a bunch of great colors — I just checked out the current offerings and they are pretty basic. I wonder if more colors will be coming?

      Delete
    2. @Audrey, I agree the colors are so bland. I like you am hoping for bolder, more cheerful colors. I have a quite a few older Jcrew coats that were far better constructed and in beautiful colors. Don’t understand why they didn’t pull archived colors and have those reproduced. Thank you for replying. Next Tues. is the next Fall/Winter launch. Let’s hope it much better.

    3. I always want the daphne when it’s on super sale but I feel like I need to size up for the narrow bottom, then again I tend to prefer fit and flare or belted styles. I think each color has a place, though black would be my least fave (if you can believe that). The orchid is pretty and unexpected. The camel looks lovely for blondes or lighter hair/ or even darker hair/more tan complexions , I feel it washes me out with my dark hair and fair skin.
The trench confuses me a little. That and the nylon one in the orchid look like the belt only fastens in the back? Maybe it can be tied in front but it is only shown tied on Tracee Ellis-Ross. I guess it helps to not lose the belt but I’m a waist wincher.
Hopefully more fun colors are coming. I love my black coats but there is nothing like going to an event where there are dozens of black and navy coats hanging up and knowing exactly which one is yours when it’s a fun color or pattern.

    4. I just received the leopard trench coat, and I really like it. The description says that it is partially lined, but that isn't so. It is fully lined, and it is not at all over-sized. It's nice.

    5. @Suz, thanks. There are no belts for this particular trench nor the nylon one on the actress. My stylist told me they just put something else to tie at the waist. I think I will order the camel Daphne for them. They’re all blondes

    6. That’s so weird for a trench, though I guess the style is to wear them open these days.
I’m sure they will love the gifts you’ve chosen for them!

    7. I have the daphne in black. Originally I Bought and returned it as the fabric is a bit itchy (felt it mostly by the collar) but I loved the style so reordered and I make it work (wear a scarf or a collared sweater underneath)

I like to think that I have been more selective on purchases these days, and I have, but I think with J.Crew that is because I don't really like that much--especially the color selection.

  66. OT but does anyone wear Marc Fisher shoes? I’ve seen them become more popular over the past few years. They seem to mimic more high end designer styles. I ordered the Dorin lug sole derby from Nordstrom in cream and love them but they run really big. Nordstrom is sold out in the smaller size but the manufacturer website has them for an extra 25 percent off. They’re on sale but not super cheap so I want to make sure they won’t fall apart.
I’ve been looking for a sneaker alternative that’s cool but not as high as my stellas and I really like this style. The cream is a nice off white (not too much of a bone which some creams are) and it also keeps the shoe from looking too masculine.

It’s certainly not as outrageously puffy compared to others and she mentioned it’s very slimming. A lightweight sweater will work underneath, shirt, tee or nothing at all! Me liking pink but unsure of the color passed on it. Should have tried it. VPS said the pink is the most popular color and the item was the most popular item she sold. They are not on reorder so that’s it’s. Will keep looking. Purchased on sale, delivery was 2 days to her in Fl. I don’t feel it’s worth the full price for what it is but fine in sale.
