Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Did anyone happen to screenshot the J. Crew website policy for extended holiday returns? I believe it was til Jan 10 but want to confirm I remember correctly, and also have proof in case my store gives me grief.

  2. I bought the green fair isle cashmere sweater since I was able to buy it from a store in Canada (online promos have been terrible and unfair for Canada). It’s very pretty, def bright green as the name neon implies. I took my larger sweater size small as I usually do for cashmere. It’s a bit thin but feels soft, I’m wearing it today. Overall happy with this and happy to finally be able to partake in jcrew shopping as I’ve avoided online. I paid $77 (Boxing Day was 40% off in store) but online for Canada wanted $132 so a big diff to shop in store for Canadian jcas.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful New Year’s Eve!

    1. Great to hear there are some deals in stores as the website definitely has few if any. Since the change in online prices hit I've bought the odd item but not like I did previously.

I want to thank JCrew for offering less promos and helping me save and spend less online ;)

    2. Ha!!
Speaking of spending less at JC, my 2020 NY resolution is to spend less than $1K at JC for the whole year. In previous years I made resolutions to just spend less but it wasn't explicit enough. This time I'm setting an actual dollar amount so it's clear. This is really tough for me because one good flash sale and I could easily spend half the year's budget!

    3. yup. my morning routine of checking sale etc for Canada...has been non existent for weeks. I have been saving tons of $$ not ordering form Jcrew. the lack of Canadian promos has changed my life. sad ( I do realize this) but true.

    4. I agree about saving money @jcrewguy. Although with Christmas I was spending a lot on toys etc so I think I’ll notice it more now.
@eeps that’s a great idea, to set an amount for a goal. I often don’t pay attention to what I would spend at jcrew and it really adds up.
@unknown, my routine has been changed too and sadly I miss buying things at jcrew.

    5. I've been saving a great deal of money as well due to their lack of promotions and high shipping fees. I used to place a couple orders a month on average and sometimes 4-5 orders a week post Black Friday/Boxing Day sales (embarrassing to see that in print). I haven't ordered from them in months and still look at their site a few times a week but it's not a habit nor in my daily routine anymore. I have to say it's liberating but I do miss not scoring some items to love. However, their offerings lately don't make me want to purchase much - all those high-waisted cropped pants and fuzzy super soft yarns. I guess some people love them because they keep churning them out.

  3. The last thing I bought at Crew was the chateau puffer in red and I haven’t bought anything at Madewell except for the leather pants which went back.

I had used my birthday promo on the pants and because they were defective asked MADEWELL CS if I could use them on another purchase. I finally decided on a pair of sneakers that have been in and out of stock. They told me to place an order and then reach out with the order number. The response from CS was rude. “We don’t usually do that...” oh, well I don’t usually spend $300 on defective pants either...

    1. I bought that puffer in lilac while I was on a trip in the US and really love that it’s light but warm. Although I do miss the fleece lined pockets that my wintress puffer has.
That’s too bad about your experience with madewell, I hope that it all works out.

    2. It did, but her response was so full of attitude and uncalled for. I didn’t ask for anything special, they had already told me in store and via email I could use it on another order.
