J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Just got the navy shirt with the embroidered scottie dogs in the mail. It's very cute and will look great with navy, red and white for the holidays and beyond. They're not kidding when they say it's fitted. I just barely fit into my usual size 2. Very cute item for the holidays.

    1. Good to know it's pretty fitted! That makes me nervous about ordering online, since I don't have any stores nearby to try it on (or easily return something that doesn't fit).

  2. I'll probably forget to post on the "Love" thread so I'll put it here while I'm thinking of it. I needed black pants ASAP and went to both J. Crew retail and J. Crew Factory stores and found exactly what I needed at both stores. I was trying to replace some older J. Crew pants and they still carry same/similar. I left very happy.

  3. I wore last year’s plaid bow flats for the first time last night. These are the dark Stewart plaid with a black beaded bow, and I paid a fair end of season price but have seen them less and believe they were even among the tjMaxx finds. Anyway they’re an elegant looking flat that’s just festive enough, IMO. Very comfortable for me right out of the box.
    I loved them with my all black outfit but will also wear them with jeans and a red sweater.
    The 1/2 inch heel makes a big difference over the totally flat shape and If you’re lucky enough to find them I recommend.

    I’ve been posting collages of my outfits on IG to catalog them. I’ve basically been repeating the staples all season and I’m actually happy with that. Getting dressed has been less stressful because of it.

  4. This is a love review for the Fiona kitten-heel ankle boots in red Stewart tartan. I was torn between these boots and the Elsie pumps in red Stewart tartan with glitter sole. I'm so glad I got the boots. These boots are super comfortable. I love that the plaid is matched on the boots, if it wasn't they would be way too busy. The boots are a bit more unique than the heels. I take either a 7.5 or an 8 and the 7.5 was best for me in the boots.
