"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. I didn't realize the rewards points expired. I've lost quite a bit and noticed J Crew now has the expiration date next to the points you have earned. I'm going to have to place an order in the next few days before I lose even more! Oh well . . .

  2. Not a vent. Ordered a couple of items with 50% off sale.

Also, a review for J Crew Collection moto jacket in leather pine. Green color is fantastic! It’s hard to find stylish leather pieces in this color. That’s what drew me to the jacket. This color is so versatile & works with so many options. Fit is tts. Leather is nice; a little stiff and will need a little breaking in. Accents are silver. I’m a gold gal, but I can see wearing with button front denim. It’s cropped & with my height (just over 5.8) the pockets for me are non- functional in that I couldn’t place my hands in them if temps were cool because they’re too high. It’s not eligible for promo online, but it rang up 25% off in store and I was able to stack 15% off educator discount.

    1. That jacket is gorgeous - god for you getting it at a discount. I also placed an order yesterday with the 50% off sale - just a couple of Jackies in colors I don’t have.

    3. Thank you so much! 50% off sale is hard to resist. I’ve picked up a couple of staples as well. I really like the Jackie cardigans too.

  3. This probably isn't news to anyone here, but I placed a large order, including multiple sizes of some items, and when I returned the sizes that didn't fit they took the points off of the items I returned rather than applying them to the items that I kept. GRR! It was only $5 on a $500 order, and I didn't have time to get really worked up about it, but how annoying! I was especially disgruntled because neither the ornate jungle print top nor the skirt worked in my usual size so I had to re-order, one size down in the top and TWO sizes down in the skirt. I usually wear a 4 in pencil skirts unless they are noted to run small, but I had to get an 8 (!) in the jungle print. I'm used to having to take in skirt waists to fit my hourglass figure but this skirt is cut like a ruler with no taper at waist or shaping from darts.
