This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!

Big sale update, 1300+ items. Mostly swim, intimates and sandals. I love the free shipping now, but I still think prices on summer stuff are way too high. It’s August after all and other retailers have much better summer clearance sales going on. I have a few things in my cart and the prices have actually gone UP.
ReplyDeleteSale was 1500+ at 2 am ET; I spotted some popbacks from 2015 and the painted regatta skirt in three sizes (alas, none were mine). I am experiencing sale fatigue though - just so tired of the cycle of ordering and returning. It's not limited to JC either; I have the same issue w/ Anthro. This is the August retail slump, right? They need a bigger kick to motivate people, or at least me - 75% off without knocking the prices up again would help.
DeleteI stopped by my local store yesterday, and they are running 50% off clearance.
ReplyDeleteI like those collection wide leg pants that come in black and mahogany but wish they'd put a more structured waistband on them. From the pic it looks like a very thin drapey poly, I'm curious if it's more like the 365 crepe. For my taste they'd look a lot more polished with even a side or rear zip and no elastic back. At least not for $130.
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate an advise on what shoes to pair with Point Sur wide leg crop pants in caramel. I’m looking for something else then sneakers they are pictured with. Something that would make them look less casual. Perhaps something with low/medium heel.
ReplyDeleteI wear them with Madewell platform clog sandals- available in Nordstrom. Hope it works.
DeleteI also like open back mules (in a pointy toe) with wide leg pants. If you want more clog variety Lottas from Stockholm come in all styles and colors.
DeleteI picked up two (separate orders) inexpensive tee shirts today to wear under blazer with boyfriend jeans, the yellow paix sur la terre and white on the bright side. N
ReplyDeleteow I'm going to take a break for a while. My buying has heightened and I have decided to practice that it feels better to have enough, than to have a large amount. It is just getting ridiculous (for me)and I'm disappointed in myself for the shift in unnecessary consumption.
I feel ya, at least you're working there and paid a good price. Plus I sometimes take the opportunity of getting new stuff to toss/donate/sell old stuff.
DeleteYou are correct, and I am getting rid of stuff. For example, most of my tee shirts were tight v-neck C&C California tees. So much stuff from my 30s, before I had a child, I just do not feel is age appropriate or I no longer desire to dress that way.
DeleteAnother part or me wants to get what I can get while there is stuff I WANT to get! And the cheap Tretorns and Jack Rogers that L&T had...there are such deals to be had.
Mentioned this before, but I'm styling the resin disc earrings and Factory white denim (on sale for $40) on the blog today. Jeans fit TTS.
