  1. Yesterday scored a popback of the wide leg pant in wool. I sized up to a 2 due to availability knowing my usual 0 just fits, but today the 0 showed up so ordered that too. I love these pants and had mine cropped (still love them like that) and I'm thrilled to have found them and at a great price.

  2. A few items made it into the Nordstrom sale including a long sleeve 100% cotton punk floral top. Check out my instastories for a special note about the sale!

    2. Lol, epic total online ordering fail for Nordstrom. Items deleted from cart, not able to complete orders, orders listed as already delivered, duplicate credit card charges. Many angry people on their FB page. Same thing happened last year for first day of the sale. Surprised they cannot get it together.

SE Mom - I saw all that nonsense and was glad I ordered around 7am!

    5. Yeah, I was trying to order the $85 LaMer offering with no luck; it was a great option last year that I loved and sold out. So, wanted to purchase again. Finally able to purchase this afternoon. That's all I bought. The brands I love didn't have anything I wanted.Too bad because 10 points is a great "we're sorry" for the Internet issue again.

  4. For those who are shopping the Pink Dover Blazer; once received, check the price tag there should be an Anniversary Price below the full price @$99.00 and ask for a price adjustment, they honored the price tag price for me.

  5. Nordstrom sale has me thinking - of all the prints, do you think the punk floral would have been the first for them to recreate? Or are there better/more popular prints they should have pulled from first?

    1. I'm personally partial to the more abstract watercolor prints.

    2. They've pulled older prints before... last summer they made a Jackie in a swimmers print that they used in 2013 for a silk shell and swimwear, they did several Factory pieces in the Hawaii print from 2005 and a bandana in the pink sailboat print also from 2005. This past fall they did a silk shell in the San Remo print and this summer's skirt and dress in paisley print is from a top they did in 2009. I am a bit surprised they used the Punk Floral but only because it seems more Spring than it does Fall.
My favorite prints are the quirky scenic prints - Library/Library Toile, Masquerade, Ski Lift, Studio, so was happy to see the little Hula girl at Factory last summer, although all I got was the bandana :)

  7. I would like to commend J.Crew on their first-rate commitment to customer service. I can't count how many times I've made two pop-back purchases on the same day, and when I call to ask if they can combine the orders, the answer is invariably, "Unfortunately the orders have already been processed, but I would be happy to waive the shipping charges for your second item." Last Friday I bought two sweaters and then a pair of sneakers for my daughter on Saturday, and when I called to ask on the off-chance if they would consider the three purchases as one totaling over $100 so that I could use my "$20 off $100" coupon, they were happy to oblige.

Conversely: a while back I purchased through J.Crew a cardigan sweater made by North Sea Clothing that has quickly become my favorite sweater. My interest in NSC was piqued, and I checked out their own website. I purchased two pairs of shoes from them for a total of @$100USD (it's an English company), though I discovered the very next day after I placed the order that NSC discounted the shoes from approximately $50USD per pair to $35 per pair...oops! My polite email request for a price adjustment on the order that likely hadn't even left their possession at that point was met with a snarky reply saying, "so sorry, but such is the nature of commerce and items on sale." So much for my warm & fuzzy feelings for North Sea Clothing.

I guess I have been spoiled by J.Crew...!

  8. Just a report about PAs: once the new promo hit i did a search and found a bunch of things I ordered in the past 2 weeks with stacked codes had dropped in price. I took screenshots and emailed them to CS with a PA request clearly indicating the price I paid and the new promo price. It amounted to less than $10 total and I almost didn’t send it but I did it anyway to see how they’d respond. Two days later I got a cheery email from CS saying they were more than happy to do it. So lovely! Usually I have better luck with CS by phone but this seems to show they’re still doing PAs on sales items.
