J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Not really a review, but I've lost a bit of weight and now my beloved wool oxford jacket in liberty blue and my 3 Lexington jackets (black, gray, pink) all fit perfectly! It's been YEARS since I was able to wear them but there's no way I was going to let them go, lol.

Also, I was able to pick up the painted regatta midi skirt yesterday for $39. Hopefully it arrives in good shape and fits.

    1. Glad your jackets fit you well again! I’m also happy when my older JCrew pieces fit, because their quality is excellent and the style is pretty timeless.

    3. Kitkat-cda - I agree. It's a delight to wear them. I especially love the jackets with decorative linings and high quality buttons.

Cheritheberry - Thanks. It's thrilling for me at least, lol.

  2. Hooray for you! Good job.

My New Balance 711s in navy arrived, and they look nice. Will be a good match with a lot of my gym shorts and leggings that are navy and grey. Lucky popback at 50%! I also received the navy sweatshirt with the striped shirting tie back. I was not expecting a lot, but it is really cute, and I am keeping. I have way too many shirts now.

  3. I was just on JCrew website.... and....what are they doing? Is this their Fall clothing line? I see a big mash up of summer with some fall staples. And as usual more weird looking models and styling. Not pleased,

    1. Agree that there isn’t much to like at JCrew right now. I’m stalking older pieces when they pop back and shopping my closet.

    2. Ugly who wants to wear wallpaper😂 was hoping for Old JCRew styles. Sick of all the distressed denim on Madewell’s site too.

    1. I can’t stand madewell’s new site. The old one was fine. Why change it? I hate the lo res photos, the layout, the constant clicking for the next page...

    3. I also hate the new Madewell website. I have sent them an email and said I won’t be buying anything until they change their website. It is too frustrating and a waste of time. Shopping should be enjoyable!

    4. Agree. I popped on there earlier to see what I might want to spend the $25 gift card on. I felt like I was going to need carpal tunnel surgery afterwards. Too much clicking for the next page since the pages show so few items. Yuck.

    5. Agree with all of the above! The new site is so unappealing and difficult to navigate. Not at all user friendly. I appreciate the $25 off offer, but I don't have the patience to shop Madewell's site in it's current state.
I also don't understand why they would allow such poor quality images and take away the ability to zoom in.

    6. Received another promo code which matched the other 2 I received. Hopped on to a chat and they immediately adjusted the price. $25.00 dollars isn’t bad ordered several sale items had no problem navigating.

  5. My half-off sale Evie silver ballet pumps arrived today. I ordered my usual larger size, 10. They are a bit large in the heel, but fit in the front. Overall a good not perfect fit. The heel height is good for everyday, and the shiny silver is fun. The synthetic liner is a negative, of course. I would not have liked these at full price, but at the amazing sale price I am quite happy and will wear for sure.

My bad tummy is getting more expensive, as I ordered a popback of the 2011 olive foundry pants in the middle of the night. I kept reading they ran small, so I ordered my regular 4 and a 6, but then it dawned on me that I am forgetting that my 4s are getting too big. I have narrow hips and tummy compared to my thighs, so this looks like it might be a good fit. I love the fit of my Ashbury Palmetto jeans that do not have the stretch, so hopefully this will a similar feel?

I am also waiting on a gift for Mommy, I ordered here the black voile top with ivory embroidery H7000 since she admired mine. It is a sweet top on sale, perfect for this humid summer.

  6. Styling the resin disc earrings and Factory white denim on the blog today. I've talked about my love for these $40 jeans before, which run TTS.
