J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. There appear to be some new arrivals online. My order from a week ago still hasn't shipped.

Are they not doing the Crewcuts "Everyday" 20% off 3 items anymore? I can't keep their gimmicks...er, sales, straight. The girls tank dress in rugby stripes is cute.

  4. Inspired by a post in another thread and tired of complaining about JC’s ongoing quality/CS issues, so let’s focus on the few diamonds that JC puts out among the duds. Name some items released in the past 365 days that were solid winners for you! Include style numbers if possible for those who enjoy popback hunting.

    2. I really like the uncoated downtown field jacket, too. I refrained as I already have more than enough lightweight jackets, but I agree that it’s exceptional.

    3. Also - the Simple Collar Necklace in Silver. Wear it all the time, tons of compliments. Looks $$$. The only piece of JC jewelry I have purchased in eons because everything else is made of paper and string!

    5. Last year's hits include the Campbell Blazer in Liberty Poppy/Daisy print, the Berry Print short-sleeved Tippi, and the drapey long-sleeve dress in blackwatch plaid, and although the quality was poor (printed not dyed sweater), for cute design, I'll include the Tiger patch cardigan. This year the only thing of note I've really bought besides some dirt cheap tees is the Jackie cardigan with the Liberty Sarah print ruffle.

  5. New Arrivals!! The Tippi sweater "to leopard" looks great...for fall 3 years ago because I own it...and check your grammar..."too leopard" All in all horrible new arrivals...Getting worse and worse.

  7. Love that idea eeps! The midnight floral silk skirt, glen plaid skirt, libertybouquet blouse, the current array of midi skirts (pineapple, paisley, and party dot are all favs), and the million graphic tees. Sad this list doesn’t include shoes or jewelry but so happy with these purchases and wear them all the time.

  9. Wow, the new stuff continues to look less and less like classic JCrew. Not interested in a single thing. Maybe it’s me but I’m not feeling the whole boho 70’s vibe.

    1. do not care for the point sur stuff.
where are the gorgeous handbags and shoes JCrew ?

    2. They should just stick to just making jeans and not design tops and bottoms. Gosh, they definitely made a 360 degree turn after Jenna left. It’s SO not J.Crews aesthetic.

  10. Have not purchased anything for months and no plans to do so.

  11. Terribly sad news from the fashion world, Kate Spade found dead in her NYC apartment.
Reading this is like being punched in the stomach.
I had no idea she legally changed her name and hasn't been part of the brand in almost a decade.
My thoughts go out to her friends and loved ones.

    1. I am so so sad. A Kate Spade bag was my first designer purchase with my first paycheck. This is like a gut punch. I can’t imagine how much pain she was going through to do this.

    2. What’s worse is her 13yr old daughter not having her Mom around as she grows up as a teen. It’s when she’s needed the most. 😕

    3. It is so sad, and I agree JSR. How incredibly selfish. With all the world at your disposal, it is so much easier to seek help than it for most suffering from mental health issues.

    4. So true Cheri & JSR. There are no words to describe the confusion, guilt and helplessness felt when a loved one commits suicide. It's the worst kind of grief.
