Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Creaw this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Good morning JCAs!

I visited only the J.Crew at eBay. No, I didn't buy anything :) Random: any of you have the Sketchbook Roses silk Belle skirt? Is it the kind of silk that could be hand washed? I know taffeta cannot get wet, but can't tell from pics or the archive what this is. I don't want to be stuck with dry clean only. Thank you all!

    1. I do! I'm actually wearing it today (IG: charlienvale). I have washed it with Laundress Delicates Wash with no issues. Hope that helps!

  3. I went by the Fifth Ave store for a return. No additional % off sale, and the sale section (room now) is bursting. Tons of sale shoes too, and no one was buying (and barely anyone was looking). Not a lot of interest in the new stuff either; the new jewelry is out and looks really cheap-o. It was just a lot of chunky yellow gold, which does not look good when bunch together in a display (not even under glass). I noticed the Fifth Avenue store now is offering free wifi, which when you connect takes you directly to the J. Crew website.

  4. I also went for a return today and had a similar experience.
Sale: nothing much of interest because why would I want to pay more than I would have Jan 31?
New stuff: some full price items were 30% off in store and they also had a sign that cardholders get 25% off full price styles.
Nothing of interest to me. If they had the striped silk pants I would have tried them.
One wall dedicated to a shirt display. Lots of funnel neck and popover styles in lightweight cotton. Bathing suits and resort wear seemed to have some space.
No shop February is easy like this.

    1. Pleasantly boring! Thanks for the report.
I have returns and I didn't go on Friday like usual. I just wasn't into it. Bah humbug.

    2. I wasn't either, but I wanted to go before 30 days was up.
Oddly I looked at my order history and I didn't place any orders in Dec,
I think I made a few small in store purchases but didn't go crazy.
      January OTOH...

  5. I just received an email with the new style rewards - I earned a $10 reward but can only use it from 2/14-2/28. In the meantime, I have quite a large reward to use that’s good until April I believe. Plus I have gift cards, and I don’t even have anything to spend them on!

Probably could have waited until the vent thread... ;)

    1. Hi Mrs. G - it's good from 2/14 to 2/28/2019. I did a double-take. ; )

    2. I got one too! Is this a new reward incentive for the j.crew card?

    3. @silver_lining thank you for sharing this! I totally missed that the first time I looked. I still don’t have anything to spend it on, but glad I have much more time to find something!!

    4. I was reading the fine line of the rewards and it says starting today 2/12, you earn $10 for 200 points earned and will be distributed at next reward cycle. It looks like they lowered the minimum to earn rewards faster but they also shortened the time limit to spend, like pro-rating it. Rather than 500 points=$25 spend within 3 months, they’ve broken it down to 200 points=$10 spend within one month. The trouble with that is there’s honestly nothing I want now and would prefer to see what’s in store next month but it’s almost like they are “forcing” you to use it or lose it. Guess part of new strategy changes with new CEO.

    5. I agree, I would rather have the larger reward with more time to spend. Or have a similar rewards program to the Gap brand were you can get a $10 reward, but have months to use it.

    6. lol I definitely did the same thing with the date - just got mine and thought what the heck, I only have two weeks to use this?! Looks like they're going the way of BR rewards with lower increments.

    7. I’m so confused. I received a $125 rewards card via email and an actual card in the mail last week that is good until April 30th. As we discussed in a past post, this amount is inflated due to double points. Today’s email says Your Jcrew Rewards are here and it is $40 to be used 2/14-2/28. Is this an extra treat in addition to the regular spring quarterly rewards? I might have to break my no shop February that is going strong so far 12 days in!

    8. I also got an email today with a reward to be used 2/14-2/28/19. I called to check the balance and it said $0. Is it because the valid period hasn’t started yet? I initially deleted the email because of $0 balance but pulled it out of Trash just now in case my guess is correct. This is super confusing since I’ve also just received the Spring reward card in the email today.

  6. I received a $25 card today in the mail, good until the end of April. Says it's for Card holders. I bought a lot of stuff during the January sales. There is one shirt I like but I'm not pulling the trigger yet. Nothing at all that I like other than that.

  8. Weird tactics? Ok....I received a $50.00 J Crew Spring Rewards email. There is NO way I have enough points to get $50.00 bucks, so they must miss me alot. ha. Also this morning I got an shipping email on an item that was back ordered for about 6 months that I cancelled 3 months ago. Is the Crew that desperate? I'm a little irritated with it all.
