I received an email from J. Crew letting me know my credit card statement was ready for viewing but no promo code! If anyone has a code they would like to share I'd love to have it! elizabethsibsmith@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteCardmember perk is only if you use the card at JC Factory though, not at the regular store.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably wait to see what else arrives before I use it, since it expires at the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteI heard from a VPS that there may be some new Factory items coming online September 11 or 12. I had called inquiring about a pre sale item that's not available online or in stores yet, and the VPS told me that she thought it was going to be online September 11 or 12. Not sure if that means there will be a bigger roll out or not.
ReplyDeleteThere are new items in store as of yesterday. Bulldog and Parisienne sweaters, copy of last year's beaded sweatshirt, cotton version of the graphic wool pencil skirt, a plaid schoolboy with pleather elbow patches, a houndstooth "charley", and more. Nothing I had to have.
ReplyDeleteOn that note, here are some codes:
10% off $75:
FNDHF39CC
FNDGCMNTX
20% off $125:
FNBSCVEKK
FNBLJHC5L
30% off $200:

Houndstooth Charley? Oh boy. Details, please! Merino? Color? I love a good Charley (Tippi)! Thanks for the Factory update, J.CrewJD!
DeleteHi shopalot! Yes, the houndstooth charley is merino (I felt it to make sure, haha), and is just like a Tippi. I think it was ivory and black. Very cute!
DeleteAlso, the jeweled collar sweaters people have been talking about were in store in both colors. I don't do the factory blended sweaters because they are so damn itchy so I didn't pay much attention... but they were prominently displayed on the front table!
DeleteThanks so much for the info. I have to get to the Factory store to do a return so I will definitely be checking out the new arrivals. The beaded sweatshirt is on my list along with the Charley.
DeleteYou're welcome! The beaded sweatshirt came in navy and a very pretty medium gray... maybe another color, can't remember.
DeleteOh my, I may have something to use my codes with after all! Thanks for the heads up :)
DeleteHmm, with this Gilt City code and you mentioning beaded sweatshirts, I might have to make a Factory visit this weekend. I'm wondering if it will make me stop wanting the painted jewel sweatshirt on J.Crew's website. I love it but am waffling on whether it would be worth full price.
DeleteDo you recall the price on the beaded sweatshirt?
I think it was $88. And I guess it was called the "jeweled sweatshirt" last year; I hope I did not cause any confusion. The ones I saw at factory were just like this: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/jcrewweekend/tops/PRDOVR~13793/13793.jsp

ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know if they restocked the puffer vests in store?
ReplyDeleteHeads up! Gilt.com is offering J. Crew Factory coupons today! 25% off. It wouldn't be a great deal since there is always a sale for the Factory, but I think it can be combined with other offers.
ReplyDeleteI am still wondering if anyone has tried the Factory chelsea chinos. I am guessing not. They look like the old cafe capris. Well, I ordered them and am keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI am wearing my Factory Chelsea chinos today in khaki. They are thicker, sturdier fabric than the in store cafe capris. I think they're really nice cropped khakis and wish they came in more colors. IMO these pants fit TTS. I hope you like yours as much as I do mine.
Deleteshopalot, thank you so much for the review! I think I am really going to love them based on your review. I wish they came in more colors too, I just got the midnight until I see how they fit me. I loathe the fabric of the in store capris... thicker and sturdier sounds excellent.
DeleteI ordered the chelsea chinos in 3x colors and I'm not a big fan of them. They seem less dressy to me than most chinos, but I was aiming at "dressier" khaki/chino. I also found they fit weird in the hip. I'm hoping they work out for you though! They are ALOT thicker IMO.
DeleteI like the fair isle sweater in the picture, but don't see it online. I would consider that sweater. But everything else . . .
ReplyDeletei like it too! too bad it's not online yet. that's probably the only thing i'd want.
DeleteFYI, the jeweled collar sweaters are $94 (after 20 percent off). That seemed a bit high so I didn't end up buying it even though I'd been waiting for it to come in.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like a lot. I just got one shipped to me this week for $64 but I think it was because I did presale during 40% off site wide promo. But still.
DeleteYes, I tried to order it at that time also with a couple of different representatives but wasn't able to do so. I think I would have kept it if I could have gotten it for $64. I'm glad you were able to get it but it's annoying that they wouldn't let me order it also.
DeleteHas anyone seen the (retail) Silk Bib Top in Colorblock (pinot noir color)? It looks really cute but I haven't seen it in store.
ReplyDeleteYou can order J. Crew Factory coupons on Gilt City right now. 25% off any purchase in-store or online.
ReplyDeleteHi JCAs. I just went to my local Factory store (in the new Fashion Outlets of Chicago) to make some returns and saw a few new items that I haven't seen online yet and also a few sold out sought after items some JCAs may be trying to find:
ReplyDelete*The store had two large stacks of the jewel collar warmspun in both the cabernet and the not yet online carbon black (I love the carbon black version. it's a lovely gray color and the front is a black and cream combo. From a distance it almost looks like the retail jewel collar sweater from last year).
*Fairly large collection of the excursion vest in the pink, navy and olive green colors
*French bulldog sweater remake from retail
*Crazy lady sweater (clearly not the official name:) I don't understand why they would do a Factory version of this sweater? Did they really sell a lot of these last year?)
*Graphic print pencil skirt in navy, black and cream (remake from last year retail)
*Hacking jacket like blazers one in a dark charcoal gray and another in a brown and cream plaid with red stripes and elbow patches
*Sequin black and white polka dot short sleeve tops (remake from last year retail version) in both the black with white polka dots and white with black polka dots
*White short sleeve button down blouse with jewel collar
Ahhh. I really want to see a comparison of the two jeweled-collar sweatshirts. I know I want one but I don't know which color and they are sold out online. I hope someone reviews them!
DeleteLisa I am assuming you mean the jewel collar sweater not sweatshirt? If so I have both the cabernet and carbon black and personally prefer the carbon black one. Part of it is just a personal preference on the colors I gravitate toward but also I think the carbon black looks a little more expensive and higher quality. They are both nice and I plan on keeping both. I also think the carbon black is more versatile, for my wardrobe anyway.
DeleteHello, JCAs. Longtime reader (thanks for all the tips!).
ReplyDeleteI went to the Factory store in Williamsburg, VA today. Lots of things in store that aren't online yet, as already mentioned.
Lots of Size S and M excursion vests in green and navy.
*The beaded sweatshirt is $88, minus $5; I believe it is only in gray and black. style #02073 Very cute. (Got it).
*Charley in houndstooth cream and black, love it, 20% off, style #02120 (got it).
*Charley that is cream-based but with wide camel and black stripes, narrower pale gray stripes, then pale mint on hem and sleeves--very pretty, 20% off (MIL got it).
*Perfect shirts were 50% off in store, chambray 40% off.
New perfects not yet online:
*Bright pink and pale gray houndstooth. the pink is almost a fuchsia.
*orange/yellow plaid thin flannel - very Autumn.
*Hunter green/navy blue cream thin flannel.
*Hunter green w/navy and red in cotton - these two are beautifully traditional plaids.
*Fair Isle Sweater - oatmeal, and the orange really pops, very cheerful $88, 20% discount (i think) got it - style #03743.
*Herringbone blazer - style 98609 - color CNA - $188 - 30% off, so it was $130 before further discount. Beautiful. I still can't tell if this is gray/black or gray/navy, but it will look great w both! Sleeves lined w stripes, leather covered buttons, the 3 pockets like the hacking jacket, and longish. Last year's retail hacking jacket was too short on me--the pockets somehow made it too boxy for me, too. This version goes to the middle of my rear. For ref, I am 5"5 and wear a 2 in the retail Schoolboy. I took a 4 in this so I could do layers but it will still look good w just a button up.
*There seemed to be a Charley--don't quote me on this!--that has stripes AND polka dots--stripes on chest--but I was hunting down other things so wasn't paying enough attention. In more than one color. This MIGHT NOT be a Charley...but it was displayed on the shelf beneath the solid Charleys.
*About 10 days ago at Factory Store in Woodbridge, VA (near DC) there was a great version, in both blue and green colorways, of the Downtown Field Jacket--NOT to be found at this store, and I have NEVER seen it online.
*In this store was a version of last year's retail lightweight puffer jacket (sorry, don't know name!) that was hip-length, and had zips on the sleeves, and I believe slash zip pockets--in a blue and at least one other color!
Lots of the jewel-collar warmspuns.
Houndstooth mini skirt AND pants (I believe the skimmers!) in cream/black.
As many have said recently, I am more excited about the Factory offerings. Used the 30% off and it was great prices for new product. Also went back to pick up one more item and used the Gilt City coupon code--nice to have it.
HTH! Have a fun time, ladies!
Hi Virginia - BIG thanks to you and 312JCgirl for being so thorough in your descriptions. It's really helpful for those of us JCA's that can't get to a Crewlet.
DeleteI did receive a personal coupon for extra 30% OFF from factory store. If anyone is interested, let me know. I also have a 20% off LOFT coupon.
ReplyDeleteEbelandi,
DeleteI would be interested in your 30% off coupon to factory if it is still available. My email is sallen07@gmail.com.
Thank you.
Stacy
Stacy, I sent you an email, let me know.
DeleteThe Houndstooth Charley is very nice, I passed on it because it was a pullover not a sweater
ReplyDeleteKate, there is a merino houndstooth charley sweater as well as a houndstooth pullover type sweatshirt. The sweatshirt one has been in stores for a while. I think the prints are identical. I didn't love the sweatshirt because the printing made it feel pretty stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe factory site is now advertising 30% off ALL purchases! use "HIFALL". Just bought an obscene number of clare cardigans, lol.
ReplyDeleteI went to the Factory store last Sunday when I was passing through Chicago; the outlets were CRAZINESS but the stop was worth it. I used my fall rewards and got:
ReplyDelete- the Excursion vest in the light tan color (last one in the store but there were still lots of navy ones)
- the Peter pan collar tee which I did NOT like last year but is so cute on
- two of the 3/4 lace tops (burgundy and navy), super flattering and great for work
- the Clare cardi in light walnut (great color)
- warmspun waffle sweater in a mustard color (not online)
- the microtweed peplum jacket, which is so flattering and fun (although I normally hate peplum)
I would have bought the Factory version of the swiss dot tippi (I have the retail version and love it so much I want a backup haha) but there weren't any available in the black/white scheme.
Prices were pretty good, everything was marked down, and they had a wide selection. I haven't been buying anything from retail lately but Factory stuff has been awesome :)
The gilt city coupon code is now 40% off!! This new one expires on 9/8, so it looks like its good just this weekend. I was there today and they were fully stocked with new arrivals. If you live nearby, it's definitely worth a trip.
ReplyDeleteI noticed this today and went. EVERYBODY should snag this coupon. I got the herringbone jewel collar sweatshirt, the super cute fair isle sweatshirt pictured above and the black watch plaid tartan shirt for $120!! The lady at the checkout had to go in the back and pull up the code herself because she couldn't believe the discount and that it's better than their employee discount.
DeleteDoes anyone know if he excursion vests are on promo at the Crewlet right now, or if they are full price? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe vests were $5 off at my store yesterday. They only had the navy, pink, and green, but there appeared to be a full stock of those colors.
DeleteThe herringbone version was full-price ($108.00) when I called today.
DeleteWent to the Factory today to make a return. If you're on the fence about going, I can confirm it's worth it with the 40% coupon.
ReplyDeleteChambray shirts & jewelry are 40% off. Charley sweaters are 30% off. Many other items are 20% off, like the chambray polka dot dress. Most of the prices were a lil cheaper in-store vs online and then applying the 40% made it even sweeter. Ie. The chambray dress nets $45.60 vs $50.70 online. Also, the envelope clutch I reviewed here nets $32.75 in-store vs $38.70 online. Not a humongous difference, but it starts to add up if you're getting a few items. Also, if your Peter Pan collar tee is on backorder, you might find it in-store. That nets $32.63.
Oh and for the Minis, the Casey cardis are 40% off + 40%, bringing it down to about $15.
Will try to review as much as I can late tonite.
Here's the Factory Peter Pan collar tee review. Incl side-by-side pics w/last year's version.
DeleteOne review up. The Factory jeweled sweatshirt. Not online yet. Nets $42.23 w/the Gilt City coupon.
ReplyDeleteI just read on the Factory facebook page that there's double points all month long w/your J Crew credit card. This is news to me. Anyone...?
ReplyDeleteAnother review up dotted chambray shirtdress.
I got the answer:
Delete"The double points for the J.Crew card is only for Factory items purchased in-store or online. It does not apply towards J.Crew purchases made online or in-store."
lol -- I am a dork! It was right here in the post the entire time. Who needs to go to bed?
DeleteYou? lol! :)
Deletecate - It was definitely me and to bed I went not too long after. lol
DeleteIf anyone has one of the 25% Gilt coupons they won't be using and could send it my way, that would be great: brady.jl@gmail.com. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteProfessor Brady - Just sent one to you :)
DeleteYou're the best, Gigi! For some reason, it hasn't appeared in my email inbox or filter, so would you try resending? Thanks!
DeleteProfessor Brady - Just re-sent. I didn't do it right the 1st time. I'm not quite 'on my game' at the moment. ;)
DeleteJCAs, if needed, you can still RSVP for a Factory code on Gilt City. Remember the 40% expires today and the coupon will revert to 25%. It only mentions 25% on the site, but the codes definitely give 40% off thru today.
ReplyDeleteMore in-store only Factory items reviewed here.
