Fall is my favorite clothing season so I really do not want to be thinking about Spring and Summer of next year! But I do love looking at these pictures- it's eye candy!
What I am excited about? The black tullip skirt (or is it a dress?) looks gorgeous. I also like that cobalt blue is sticking around. It is a shade of blue that I find works well on a lot of people.
I am not too excited to see that neon is still sticking around in the Spring/ Summer color palette. In small doses, it might be fine. However, I can't imagine how many customers can pull off a neon yellow overcoat. Ugh.
Lastly, the men's collection looks on point (as always). Classic and stylish at the same time. I am loving the blue and white striped sweater. Random admission: I often look at the men's section of the catalog for outfit inspirations.
Link Time! "Thanks!" to Miss JR & HeatherInSearchOf (in this post), as well as Chanie and Yossi, who let us know that Racked (click here) & NowFashion (click here) have posted pictures of the *entire* J.Crew Collection (both Men & Women). Make sure to check the links out! The images below come from both sites listed above.
The following image showcases heels from the upcoming Sophia Webster x J.Crew collaboration.
What are your thoughts on the items slated for the upcoming seasons? Are you a fan of the overall collection? Are there certain pieces you are really excited (or questioning) about? ;)
I'm most excited for the Sophia Webster + J.Crew shoe collaboration. Some of the shots from the show are incredible. She makes some of the most beautiful shoes.
ReplyDeleteNot much catching my eye there. The puffy/tulle mint skirt in the middle has potential and I like the cobalt blue pants toward the right. There are some very short skirts/dresses, again.

ReplyDeletehere's the full presentation...
I LOVE the white deep v dress with the flowers. . I would be interested in buying it once I saw the price.
ReplyDeleteI thought that dress was beautiful too! I could never wear it, but it definitely stood out to me.
DeleteThanks for the link to the full presentation, Heather.
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, I don't think that I could tell the difference between this and any other NYFW Spring presentation. Perhaps it's the backgrounds, but it's like oh, florals, neon, 'proportion play', messy hair... this could be any JC spring collection. I think I just have some JC fatigue considering all of the spring/summer 2013 stuff that's still hanging out in the sale section. I'll revisit these pictures when it's snowy and 15 degrees out! :)
I'm with silver_lining. There's still so much spring 13 stuff still online, plus I'm in fall mode, so I have no desire to look at it for more than 5 minutes. I mean, it's nice and all, but I'm tired of neon.
ReplyDeleteThank you guys for the links! And... don't cry, neon yellow toggle coat! I like you... : )
ReplyDeletei'm so excited about the sophia webster collaboration!
ReplyDeleteOT but I don't know where to post today so here goes ...
ReplyDeleteI got a card in the mail today from Factory for a tiered % off promo through 9/29. Actually, I got two of them and won't use either (crewed out for a while), so I thought I'd share. Factory really has cute things this season. Reply if you use one :)

DeleteUsed the second 30% off code! Thanks:)
DeleteAlso check out Pinterest. JC has been pinning the images there too. Scroll down for women's styles.
ReplyDeleteKinda hard to get too excited about spring just as fall is getting started but it's so great to get a sneak peak of what is to come. A few of the items look very promising!
ReplyDeleteThe women's stuff I don't even want to talk about.....Sad face. But the men's line I'm just confused about: so you don't wear socks with pants/slacks and dress shoes, but you do wear socks with shorts and boat shoes?? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the women's shoes!!!!!!!! Can;t wait :)
ReplyDeleteI'm showing my age here, but the 2 t-shirts w/the giant writing on them gave me a bad 80's flashback to my "FRANKIE SAY RELAX" t-shirt!! Oy!
ReplyDeleteOT - The $18 collection cashmere sweaters (see discussion in comments on this post) are shipping! See note from J Crew below.
ReplyDelete---------------------
Dear Mel,
Thanks for your recent order of the Collection Cashmere V-neck Sweater. We are processing and shipping your package now, but wanted to make you aware of a discrepancy in the price of the sweater as shown on our website. At the time you placed your order, the price of the sweater was unintentionally and incorrectly listed at $18.00 instead of $188.00. Rest assured, we are honoring the $18.00 price for your purchase in this instance, but we hope you understand that we will not be able to fill future orders for this sweater at the same price. The correction has been made in our system and we apologize for any confusion here. That said, we do hope you enjoy your purchase.
As always, please reach out to us should you have any questions – we are available 24/7 – 800.562.0258.
Best,
Jim
J.Crew Customer Service
Lucky you! That is great customer service, BTW. Unlike TheRealReal, who make a $250 pricing error on a pair of shoes I ordered and had the audacity to tell me they could not honor the price after I received the shoes. Will never order from them again.
DeleteThere are deals, and then there are steals. Lucky, lucky! And good on J. Crew for honoring the price!
DeleteI've been Crewed out for a while now. I can seem to get behind more than one or two of their pieces a season (sadly, it's usually a Collection piece). Like most, I'm in fall mode now but I don't have high hopes for their spring/summer '14 line after what I saw this past spring/summer or what I'm currently seeing this fall.
ReplyDeleteYuck! Worst collection in recent memory. Not interested in paying big bucks to look like a fashion victim. New designer please!
ReplyDeleteLooking at these pictures again, there seems to be an orange/gray/black motif going on in some of them. Halloween colors seem like an odd choice for Spring.

ReplyDeletebug pin, Frank doesn't design the women's line. He is only men's & I think he does a nice job. Tom Mora does the women's & I must admit I just don't like his vision. I have definitely become less interested & found less to love since he took over. Thank goodness there wasn't a bombardment of foulard in the spring presentation. I think we have all had enough of that!

ReplyDeleteDoesn't even matter if I'm into Fall or Spring, this stuff looks bad. I see a lot of really bad proportions. And you know it's bad when they don't even look good on a tall model. Time to find TOM's replacement.
ReplyDeleteI am very very very excited about the shoes. I see several pairs I'm sure will make it into my closet. Sophia Webster makes awesome shoes so I'm hoping that collaboration is great.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love sneak peeks.
ReplyDeleteBarring five pieces (give or take) that caught my eye in the women's display, the rest of the collection is BLAH =(
ReplyDeleteThe shoes look gorgeous but I need another pair of 4-inch-heel-unfunctional-shoes like I need a hole in my head. The collections since Marissa left are very random.
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed in the collection! The white eyelet blouse above is an almost exact copy of a blouse from Chloe Spring 2013.
ReplyDeleteJ Crew also presented a white dress with lace or net shoulders that is almost exactly like a black dress shown by Gucci for Fall 2013
What disappointed me the most was the neoprene floral print skirt shown by J Crew. It's has the same shape and look as a floral printed neoprene skirt that I bought from ZARA this spring!!
I've seen designer inspired items made by Jcrew in past seasons but none this obvious and blatant.
Disappointed.
