Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I just read online that JCrew has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy today. 😢 it says they will still operate and sell clothing online while they try to restructure. Apparently Jcrew says they expect stores to reopen when they are allowed to. I’m pretty sure that they will have to close more stores because of this process though. Let’s hope that Chris Benz designs still arrive / aren’t cancelled. The last rollout looked good to me and I have ordered a couple of things.
Praying they can survive and not end up in liquidation. I read that only 25% or so in retail survive after that filing but I am going to have faith in jcrew.

    1. I read another article where JCrew says they expect to survive and get stronger from a restructuring. They are converting a lot of debt into equity so their lenders must believe in them.

    2. I think the the debt conversion to equity shows faith in the brand. I saw on IG that someone asked about JC selling more green pants, and they responded that an olive pant will be available for fall so I took that as a sign there's still a future for JC.

  2. I really hope they can turn the corner -- I'm also liking what I'm seeing so far this spring for designs, and I've been really pleased with the handful of things I've picked up (the striped cashmere cableknit has been surprisingly great and not pilling at all!). I'm wearing all JCrew to work from home today -- a skirt and tippi and denim jacket, and an old-school frog clasp necklace -- items from years ago and items from the last 6 months that all work together. They are my go-to for clothes for sure.

    1. I've bought more this spring than I have in a long time, quite unexpected! Denim shorts, linen tees, knit dresses, sweatshirts, all casual things.

  3. We finally got to go somewhere! The golf courses opened last Saturday, and we took the afternoon off work to go play. I wore the drapey drawstring pants AJ015 that I'd hoped would make good athletic pants. They worked out great, roomy but neat looking. Plus a striped long-sleeve t (a J Crew classic).
